It's March. Spring is in the air. We are looking forward to losing layers and baring ankles.

This is the volume of the hen do and wedding. Will queen manage to get shop to wear penis boppers Grin. And will we all shed a tear when the beautiful blair gets married.

Following on from here

I really liked the Hush tee shirts I got last summer, Shop, great quality.

Good luck this afternoon, Stokey.

Mara, I think we do, I certainly want your wardrobe anyway. :) I think I will try low carb or just accept that I will never be as thin as I was when I was younger.

QueenC, hope you feel better soon. I am hoping for the same present come Sunday!

The trench arrived and it is going back. The buttons are huge, didn't clock that on their website and it's too big overall. Don't love it for the price. I have this old Weekend Maxmara, think I will wear it again and save for a Burberry for next spring. Also got this Boden top in the post had forgotten I ordered it pretty colour but again too big overall. I'm just saving money all over the place today!

Today I am wearing Gap skinny jeans, Isabel Marant crisi boots, American Vintage navy top and navy Weekend Maxmara coat when out.

Thanks Linus and Cranagh

Well done on the assignment lib it just reminds me of my impending deadlines!

well, bright sunshine this morning so went out without my hat, mistake, big mistake as it started raining halfway through my last class and my hair got wet on the way home and is now a mass of curly frizz! must remember to carry my hat in my bag for a while if i don't go out wearing it

santamarianovella · 11/03/2015 17:27

Operation teaspoon replacement went well, I kinda miss John Lewis and divertimenti for this kind of thing, although my local divertiminti vanished last time I was in London, felt sad, or maybe they were doing refurbishment, I hope, I like going to homeware stores, I must have spent over 20min browsing, I chose the spoons in like 2 min ,its the fine china I was drooling over, my dream is to own a royal Copenhagen dinner service. But that will be just for me and dh, the dcs can still use the Cornish blue set Wink,

marsha I know what you mean, i love the meeting part of my work, its so refreshing, we went to an expo, last month and we had to sit down and chat with loads of different offices from all over Europe, and men are just sometimes better at these kinda of things, there is more professionalism in how they approach some issues, they explain better, and there is less negative competitiveness and arrogance going on, and I must say, that men in Europe dress much nicer, Grin,

ujj I watched pretty little liars with my cousins, it made my head hurt!

queen thats a very nice Mother's Day gift, but I don't see the need to spend it on Saturday, you can save it for a future purchase or somthing,

lib well done on finishing the assignment

I bought this skirt with and a plain cashmere/silk sweater, but I can't find a link of the exact colour, I like it together but it's really out of my comfort zone to wear them at once, the skirt looks great with simple white shirt, I might exchange the sweater, but it really looks nice with it. Confused

O! And a welcome to all newbies here ,

Ujjayi · 11/03/2015 18:09

Santa There is a distinct difference between European Man Style & Brit Man Style. I may be biased being married to a Dutchman Wink. I love the way DH dresses. His version of casual is really quite elegant and he spends a fortune on shoes - not loads of pairs, just a lot per pair. Italians, Swiss, French & Dutch have more than their fair share of chic men. Men who look like they have just walked fresh out of a Tom Ford photoshoot...

I like the Stella skirt Santa. Do you have a link for the sweater?

I had a flying visit to Topshop today and managed to find the gorgeous pale blue shirt that is sold out online - I think it was either Lib or Dry? They had plenty of stock available. They also had a great selection of vintage suede skirts & jackets. I was quite tempted by a beautiful slate grey version but I couldn't be faffed with the try on so maybe drop by on Saturday.

MU outfit will probably be either the same as today or possibly what I wore yesterday. Will be casual anyway and definitely flats as back still a bit twangy. Really looking forward to it!

Ujjayi · 11/03/2015 18:11

Hee Hee - DH will think me terribly disloyal but I should clarify - as gorgeous as DH is, he doesn't look like a Tom Ford model Grin

Ujjayi · 11/03/2015 18:26

Oh and thank you everyone for your "enjoy your day" wishes :) The exhibition was amazing - the detail on Kate Moss' wedding gown in particular just blew me away together with a Jenny Packham gown and a ridiculously simple '30s dress. So frustrating that they don't allow sketching in the exhibition (photos I can understand because of the light damaging fabrics etc) but I did make notes that I hope I can decipher later!

shopafrolic · 11/03/2015 18:30

What do people think of this?
Or
this one?
I'm ignoring the polyester bit ATM as I refuse to spend £££ on something I am unlikely to wear again.....
Santa glad you found something more fun than spoons to buy! :)

Ujjayi · 11/03/2015 18:35

First one is gorgeous Shop

LinusDKD · 11/03/2015 18:42

First one shop! Second one is lovely but too dressy for a beach party.

santa love that skirt! Seems you did some serious shopping today Wink

ujjayi your day sounds perfect.

Well done lib!

Topazandpearl · 11/03/2015 19:27

Another vote for the first one shop.

Glad you had a good day Ujj.

Lovely skirt santa.

Fedup I also prefer the Fossil bag.

Yes to the gorgeous Lanvin dress for the wedding Ellis!

I haven't decided what I'll wear on Saturday yet. It will have to be comfortable for travelling (so casual) and will depend on weather, but, following on from lib's words last week about being true to your best look! I could go for a dressed-down version of my work look.

A piece of bad luck turned good. I lost one of my cashmere-lined black leather gloves the other day. I was really upset as they were one of my little daily pleasures (I wear them for driving in cold weather). Yesterday when I drove into my work car park, I saw something on the ground. It was my (sodden) glove. I carefully dried it out and have given it a Colonil treatment and it is almost as good as new!

Topazandpearl · 11/03/2015 19:28

Too many !
Does anyone else's ipad convert commas to ! ?

Cranagh · 11/03/2015 19:44

I love the detail on the first dress, Shop.

That was lucky about your glove, Topaz!

QueenCardigan · 11/03/2015 20:10

Yes topaz my iPad does that too.
shop I prefer the first one but my only worry would be whether it would be see through. Do you have skin coloured underwear? What are you going to wear on your feet for a beach party? I got so focused on the white that I forgot what the rest of the itinerary said. Do you still need the KM dresses?

Hello everyone! Goodness it has been busy!!

Shop I would go with the first one too. Good find.

Hello to the newbies, Ellis and UndecidedSmile

To everyone going to Saturday's MU, I am really sorry but I can't make it. Hope you all have a good time and look forward to hearing about it.

I am sat in my M&S pjs right now but i have to tell you about today's work clothes. I felt super chic earlier in this Boss dress. Got it from Brand Alley for £55, down from £220 and I just love it! With my black RB shoeboots, black cashmere coat and this Prada handbag it was all a bit dark but then blinged it upGrin

santamarianovella · 11/03/2015 20:58

ujjai dh GM is Dutch and he has good taste in clothes Grin, and I totally agree, my DF is Italian, and he takes shoes and well made clothes very seriously, he taught me how details like sleeve length, and how the bottons are aligned are extremely important, I'm really fascinated by men's tailoring its like a lost art,
this is the sweater, but in the cashmere/silk mix its beautiful, and I loved it with the skirt, dh says they look fine together which is like a compliment coming from him, but I don't know, still not sure, I thought of getting a marant blazer instead , but when I showed it to dh, he said that I should get a sweat headband too and pretend to be mark knopfler Hmm, I googled him and I think he is right, marant must have had in him mind when she designed those western inspired shirts a few seasons ago.

shop, first one for me too,

shopafrolic · 11/03/2015 21:25

The first one is the best I can find, but as I check out it is saying it's ivory not white. And it's polyester. Checked the weather in GC and it drops to a low of 27 degrees c overnight - I will be a sweaty mess! Will order it and see.....
What do I wear on my feet? I have some jewelled R&B sandals.

libertychick · 11/03/2015 21:29

Quick pop in to say who wanted a Broderie anglaise dress??? This one looks lovely

shopafrolic · 11/03/2015 21:33

Lib that is beautiful (even thought it wasn't me who was after border anglaise)

libertychick · 11/03/2015 21:39

For Shop Pale grey rather then white but who could tell?? Smile

libertychick · 11/03/2015 21:40

The first one I linked would be perfect for a beach event shop and it's silk

shopafrolic · 11/03/2015 21:40

I'm not that back confident Lib - I'm lumpy under the arms.....

libertychick · 11/03/2015 21:41

Ah was it bernice who wanted a broderie dress???

libertychick · 11/03/2015 21:42

Lumpy schumpy Shop...everyone will be drunk!!
