It's March. Spring is in the air. We are looking forward to losing layers and baring ankles.

This is the volume of the hen do and wedding. Will queen manage to get shop to wear penis boppers Grin. And will we all shed a tear when the beautiful blair gets married.

Following on from here

In a rare and unprecedented event, my clothes co-ordinate today! I am wearing (from the bottom up) flat burgundy velvet mary janes, black fleece lined tights, a burgundy and bright pink tartan pattern skirt and a bright pink cashmere cable knit pattern sweater

LinusDKD · 11/03/2015 07:50

Go back to your room and change Young Lady! You're not going out with those co-ordinating clothes one!

Wink sounds like a great outfit.

Mine is boring boring boring this morning: Jimmies, Rails shirt and bikers.

Love that trench cranagh! I have worn mine a few times already when the temperatures are higher in the afternoon and it's still one of my best buys of last year.

I agree with dry, beige chinos and a cream linen shirt will be perfect for your DH shop

Glad he liked those MD carshoes.

DH bought his all by himself on a boys' weekend away when the temp was hotter than he expected at his destination and I was pleasantly surprised because he's usually rubbish at buying casual clothes. (Sounds a bit patronising but it's true)

I think I might have found my perfect My Lips But Better lipstick. Most natural/nude lipsticks are too brown for me but this one is a bit pink-y so it suits me better.

It's Chanel Rouge Coco Shine in Boy and it feels lovely on my lips. It's not longwearing but I don't mind that.

Drywhiteplease · 11/03/2015 07:57

Cranagh it is a bit of an extreme diet. Why don't you just low carb and 5:2 now you've lost the 5lb, pretty good result.
Funnily enough I was just thinking I could do with a trench myself Hmm

shopafrolic · 11/03/2015 08:21

Morning all. Have you seen WITs Instagram pic of Zoolander with Anna Wintour? Doing see no evil, speak no evil, hear no evil Brilliant!

santamarianovella · 11/03/2015 08:55

Morning!

shop I agree with everyone, its perfectly ok for your dh to wear linen shirt and light trousers,
They've shot loads of scenes for the zoolander movie during fashion week, without no one noticing, till the valentino show,

cranagh love the trench coat,
fedup I like the first one,

one sounds great,

linus I'll check that lipstick,I've recently bought burberry lip mist, and I love it, very sheer with just a tiny bit of colour,

It's cold again here, and I'm in my coat Sad, off to buy teaspoons, I have no idea why we keep losing them in our house.

Karbea · 11/03/2015 09:16

Morning all,
one your outfit sounds lovely.
I'm wearing an animal print Kooples blouse, blue jeans, H tan belt, and black socks ;) not sure what boots I'm going to wear, I still feel boots are a big gap in my wardrobe.

Karbea · 11/03/2015 09:17

I'm going to buy moisturiser today, rock n roll!

QueenCardigan · 11/03/2015 09:27

santa teaspoons go missing in everyone's house. I don't get it either.
Great trench cranagh
ellis that dress will be fab.

Going to look at carpets today. It's about as rock n roll as moisturiser.

AmberNectarine · 11/03/2015 09:32

It's knives in our house. No idea.

Not setting the world alight here either, fashion-wise - black and white gingham flannel shirt, mid wash skinnies and black Stans. Out tonight so will try and put a bit more effort in for that.

LinusDKD · 11/03/2015 09:46

I've just been to the post office and all the parcels have been posted.

Hopefully you'll get yours sometime next week!

MarshaBrady · 11/03/2015 09:47

Gotta say I do love a good cross trade meeting in the morning with lots of men Grin

MarshaBrady · 11/03/2015 09:51

In case that sounds dodgy I just love the professionalism and measurement talk. Makes me happy

Santa do you like that part?

Ujjayi · 11/03/2015 10:07

Yeah, yeah Marsha...Grin

One - get you, being all matchy-matchy!! Sounds lovely. Velvet Mary-Janes sound gorgeous.

Love hearing about everyone's outfits.

Santa - I cured the missing teaspoon conundrum by purchasing the heaviest I could find (Robert Welch, I think). Haven't lost any since buying 5 years ago.

Blair glad hotel drama nipped in the bud sharpish. Looking forward to hearing wedding details on saturday!

Will catch up on flurry of links etc later. DH was out last night so DS1 & I had a Pretty Little Liars binge. Total piffle tv but in that trashy US high school queens kinda way - I love the styling & their improbable wardrobes & frequently pause 'n sketch.

On train to meet DH for brunch at a place I'm 10 years too late for but still hanker after trying it. I'm so not fashion, darling. And then off too see the Wedding Dresses exhibition at V&A. Am wearing black skinnies(Zara) black slouchy v neck (Uniqlo), black & silver skinny scarf (charity shop), Isabel Marant Debra jacket & Topshop pointy flats. "Parisienne" was the brief Wink.

Why do lips suddenly become a hair magnet once lipgloss is applied?Confused

Have a great day Smile

Stokey · 11/03/2015 10:23

I took dd1 (age 5) to see the wedding dresses at half-term Ujj. She loved it, and decided the V&A is the "detail" museum (as opposed to dinosaur museum next door and the "mummy" (British) museum). Your outfit sounds great.

I am also coveting your Lanvin dress Ellis and the AS one Shop but have nothing to wear that kind of thing to at the moment.

I've got a meeting for potential work this afternoon so am in jeans at the moment but will be changing, possibly wearing J-Crew pencil skirt, cropped cardie and Pettys. Should really wear heels but am going on the tube and want to do some shopping beforehand so don't really want to be carrying spare shoes.

Oh and we have no kids forks... I bought a pack of 12 a year ago and we're down to 2. I have no idea where they go.

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 11/03/2015 10:34

I think missing cutlery goes under the fridge, but I don't want to look there Grin

Embarrassingly, I ordered something from the US (for the wedding) to be delivered to the office (natch) and didn't pay customs in advance, so my boss delivered me the opened customs bill this morning Blush I have a bit of a reputation for the amount of parcels I get delivered...

Ujj really looking forward to meeting you! (And anyone else I haven't met, but I can't keep track of who is coming on Sat)

I love hearing about everyone's outfits too. I guess it's how we all end up knowing each other's style so well. the more we describe what we wear, the better recommendations we're able to give each other Grin

libertychick · 11/03/2015 11:00

Ellis I did get the assignment done. Was 3am before I got to bed though.

I'm in black jeans too, Levi curve straight leg. With top half entirely from shop Grin green pattern silk Aubin and Wills shirt, layered under green A&W mohair jumper. Chloe peacoat and black Petty boots. Usual Modalu black work tote. Whole pulled together effect undone by bad hair though. Didn't have time to wash and dry so put it up and it keeps falling down .

bettykt · 11/03/2015 11:15

Some great outfits going on this morning

Ellis hello and welcome and yep that Lanvin dress is gorgeous. I liked the AS grey one too, but probably not for a wedding. Do stick around for a chat and a natter.

I lose spoons too, in fact I'm about to replace out cutlery soon so am holding off at the moment replacing spoons.

Stokey good luck for this afternoon, I really like the JCrew skirt btw.

Blair glad the hotel saw sense and honoured the prices, what a cheek hey?

Ujj enjoy your lunch date. Your outfit sounds great, love the mix of high ed and charity.

I'm not going to describe my outfit as I did a early morning sr and no-one saw me Grin so just grabbed my comfy clothes slouchy bootcuts gasp, horror Blush Will be redeeming myself later on when I go out. I'm still not tempted to bare my ankles so will wear a black short sleeve dress and black cashmere cardi with black opaque tight and black Jalouses.

maradesbois · 11/03/2015 11:45

Morning,

Love reading the what I'm wearing posts too. Your matchy sounds good One. Mine is navy petit bateau ribbed cotton sweater with gold buttons on the shoulders, dark blue ts skinnies and pistols which are starting to look a bit trashed. Need to replace next winter. Bag is Goyard St Louis tote with my initials. Am a sucker for a bit of personalisation.

Cranagh nice trench. Think we have similar taste. Don't think I could do Dukan either but 5:2 is working (slowly).

Lib well done on finishing your assignment, don't know how you fit it all in.

Yesterday I ordered this dress from the Outnet clearance. At 80% off its worth a try. Fabric is bamboo, had no idea that it could be spun into thread.

Ellisisland · 11/03/2015 13:09

lib well done on getting the assignment done.

Am at home today so not the most exciting outfit. Skinny black jeans, white vest top and blue striped shirt.

shopafrolic · 11/03/2015 13:33

Love how well my stuff is working for you Lib - well done on the assignment.
Linus last year you bought some tees from ASOS I think? Just basics.... how did they hold up? The J Crew linen ones aren't in great colours at the moment and I need to get some for holiday....

shopafrolic · 11/03/2015 13:50

pretty

shopafrolic · 11/03/2015 13:50

nice for summer

QueenCardigan · 11/03/2015 14:02

No exciting outfit from me today. just jeans and a navy patterned blouse. No colour added in today as I've had a menstrusl migraine and am now in that hungover type feeling once it passes.

ujj lunch date sounds great. Love getting dressed up for lunch. Those of you going on Saturday any idea what you're wearing?

My lovely dh has given me some money for mothers day I droped lots of hints so I'm just hoping that I can find stuff to spend it on. I don't want to spend it for the sake of it but it kind of feels that it should be spent on Saturday rather than saving it iyswim.

OP posts:
LinusDKD · 11/03/2015 14:26

No time for a proper catch-up but yes, shop I got quite a few Asos tees last summer and they were good quality for the price.

I think lib ordered some as well but she pointed out that the same size in different colours were not actually the same size but slightly different.

I had a look and there's not much choice yet on the Asos website

this is not 100% cotton like mine but nearly.

I was also very happy with some Boden ones I got last year. Not as cheap as the Asos ones but more choice in colours.

justasecond · 11/03/2015 14:40

Hi all
I am wearing a variation of what I wear most days atm. Jumper dress, skinnies, petty boots or biker boots and long grey whistles coat or zara camel wrap coat over. I am bored but its still too cold for anything else.

I am sick of constantly buying teaspoons. The decent ones are so ££ too. My ds has come home with bendy cheap ones from nursery after I stupidly gave him the good ones in his lunchbox for yoghurt.

Linus Boy is a great shade. I was about to buy it when dm and the Sa persuaded me to get "mademoiselle" instead which is horrible on me and makes me look like an old auntie. I have put it in my handbag to use when I am desperate.

Ellis welcome! like the others I love love love the Lanvin dress! AS one is great too.
One your outfit sounds great but then I am very quite matchy matchy.
Lib well done getting finished I don't know how you fit it all in either.
Blair glad you got the hotel thing sorted cheeky gits
Cran love that trench.
Fedup I prefer the Fossil bag too.
Ujj have a great day and love the sound of your outfit.
