It's March. Spring is in the air. We are looking forward to losing layers and baring ankles.

This is the volume of the hen do and wedding. Will queen manage to get shop to wear penis boppers Grin. And will we all shed a tear when the beautiful blair gets married.

Following on from here

Chuck out cardigans Shock. What colours are they Wink.
bernice a bit of both really re pointy shoes. I don't mind almond toe but don't personally like really pointy and also I think they don't really suit me.
amber v Envy at the Chanel. Ive always said I'd get one if I won the lottery but as it's highly unlikely ive never really given much though to exactly what I'd get. Lovely research to do though.

I need to go through my summer clothes this week and remind myself what I have and therefore what I need. I wore ballet flats today and then it decided to rain! It was so nice to get my feet and ankles out though.

Snap Blair. I realised recently that jackets are better for me too. That said, I find cardigans work if I wear a collared shirt underneath - silk is best as otherwise it can feel too bulky. I used to avoid jackets because I hated how they feel under coats Smile

I am also wearing this biker style cardi quite a lot.

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 08/03/2015 20:12

lib yes! Jackets under coats is the worst. Spring/summer is the ideal time for me to try and get used to them :)

I was tired/bored on Friday night and spent an hour trying on things with my new skinnies and denim skirt. I realised that jeans + heels + blazer looks really good on me only like 5 years too late :(

QueenC I only own cheap cardis luckily, bright blue and chocolate brown cotton ones from Zara and a raspberry pink one from Topshop but it's a weird shape. That one is actually very nice so if I decide to get rid I'll tell you first Grin

AmberNectarine · 08/03/2015 20:49

Cardigans are dire on me - the only kind I can wear are very fitted and cropped. Otherwise i'm anyone's mother-in-law.

Continuing the TS love I bought this duster coat yesterday. Bit of a departure from my usual style but I really love it. Will be good for spring, I think.

Am really considering getting the white and zebra Stans now, on the basis the black ones have not come off my feet since I bought them. Wore today with TS indigo flares and a black polo neck.

QueenCardigan · 08/03/2015 21:34

blair I'm glad I'm not the only one who does that. Dh always finds it highly amusing to find me trying everything on.

Blair what about a jersey jacket? I have 2 of the whistles ones which are very useful when its a bit warmer. I have an older one which is quite boxy but the updated version I got last year fits a lot better. Hope you feel better soon how about a probiotic supplement or acidophillus to restore good bacteria balance?
Amber how exciting re chanel bag! love ts duster coat too I have last years version.
Dry I didn't realise there was a poldark remake will have to iplayer it after Mr Selfridge.
Shop love all your purchases esp the pink dress and the playsuit Linus found perfect for you.
I also got these yesterday in tkmaxx j brand slim boyfriend jeans I know its all about the flare atm but I do like a nice slim bf jean too, far more practical. I really like these they are a perfect fit and so soft.

Has anyone seen any nice loafers? I bought the Russell and Bromley chester last year but returned as they pinched and were uncomfortable. I do love them though and would like something similar

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 08/03/2015 21:42

QueenC yep... DP was out, I was bored so went upstairs to the wardrobe, then he came back early and was really puzzled as to what I was doing Blush Sometimes you just get the urge. I think I needed to reassure myself, after buying my most expensive jeans ever (after the alteration)!

justa funnily enough I noticed Uniqlo had a nice jersey blazer, might be a good place to start, they didn't have my size though. QueenC mentioned probiotics, then my sister did too (she is not a doctor but works in medicine) so I think I'll investigate them this week.

Those R&B loafers are really nice, they look beautifully made so it's a shame they didn't work for you. I'll keep an eye out for anything similar.

shopafrolic · 08/03/2015 21:45

Grazia discount still on at Whistles Blair. Their jersey jackets are fab. I have the code if you need it.

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 08/03/2015 21:59

Thanks shop and justa I will look at the whistles ones. I've done way too much browsing today already though, I told DP I need a few extra £00s for my spring wardrobe updates Blush

Drywhiteplease · 08/03/2015 22:25

Blair and Queenc that's quite normal behaviour isn't it? I do it all the time. Kind of adult dressing up Grin but sensible .....I can never understand women who buy something and then go "it doesn't go with anything" because I try on everything I can with new stuff before taking labels off thank goodness because a lot of what I buy is rubbish

Shop I love! love the All Saints black dress, very you, very useful. I think the play suit (?) will look great on your hols too.

libertychick · 08/03/2015 23:22

Guilty as charged Dry. I never used to play 'dress up' and was then baffled when things didn't work with each other. I find it really tiresome trying on loads of clothes, I get grumpy and annoyed. Partly it's probably that I have limited space and never have the time. I'm trying to spend a bit of time at it at the moment. What happens to me is that I get a top and bottom that work together and then realise that I don't have the right shoes or accessories. I'm trying to note it down and make a list of the missing things.

And a random Flowers for all of you. I have been studying all weekend and during any breaks trying to spend time with DD. Checking in on pin and here is such a lovely relief, nice way to switch off for 10 mins. You are all wonderful Smile

Drywhiteplease · 09/03/2015 08:03

I get grumpy and cross when I try on in actual shops liberty . All that queueing try to avoid weekends dust balls on fitting room floor Shock, getting dressed and undressed, not to mention terrible missors.

I'm going for the full Clare underwood today stokey......black slim ankle length trs, white shirt nonchalantly poking out under my black crew neck, black loafers no socks and it's frosty Shock simple, nice.

shopafrolic · 09/03/2015 08:26

What a lovely post to wake up to Lib :)
Dry like the sound of Clare outfit. Have you recovered from your Poldark experience?
I'm wearing this sweatshirt with Jimmies, a black and white striped Uniqlo thermal and my Adidas Superstars. Cold but sunny here. Lots of housework to do today will probably be on MN all morning

libertychick · 09/03/2015 09:29

Oh I detest dustballs Dry.

Good outfits today, well done on bare ankle Dry and I love that sweater Shop.

I'm in black straight leg jeans, Petty boots, beige sleeveless silk shirt, beige Goat cardi and the lovely Chloe peacoat from Shop. Love this outfit, feels smart enough for my various meetings but very comfy.

shopafrolic · 09/03/2015 09:32

You've probably worn that coat more times than I ever did by now Lib - glad it's being loved.
must start cleaning

QueenCardigan · 09/03/2015 10:14

Morning. I'm wearing exercise gear. Just about to jump in the shower. I'm not sure I'll be baring my feet today. It's 9 degrees but feels chilly. Apparently there is more cold weather on the way.

I totally agree with lib. This thread and pin are such a lovely distraction from the mundanities of life.

Did anyone see the article in ST about hair lengths getting shorter which is a sign that we are coming out of recession as people are willing to pay more on maintenance haircuts. The people they cited though are celebrities who surely can afford daily maintenance.

OP posts:
shopafrolic · 09/03/2015 10:26

Funny you should say that QueenC because DH to,d me last night he prefers my hair short (and I think I do too) so I'll probably be cutting it all off again at the end of the month.

Fedupnagging · 09/03/2015 10:46

Have just got out of the shower and pondering what to wear. Yesterday was jeans turned up with blue supergas. Today maybe black skinnies turned up with leopard print supergas - it's cold but the sun is out so thought I'd toughen up and really am bored of boots.

I've missed too much to comment on everyone but wanted to say to Blair sorry you are feeling so rotten; hope you improve soon Flowers.

Shop am enjoying your holiday shopping - think you would look fab in a black jumpsuit if you can find one with long enough legs Envy

Oh and I saw that some of you go to MK - maybe we could do a mini MU there as it's easy for me to get there too.

Lib, love the dresses you have pinned; and definitely agree with you about MNV. Smile

I spent Sat in London and bought a couple of things which I will link later. However, could I find a white shirt that I liked, fitted and wasn't £££? No, is the answer. How frustrating is that?!

shopafrolic · 09/03/2015 10:59

YY to a mini MU in MK somewhere. Will have to be after Easter hols now though.
Newly adjusted flares are back. I like them, not sure what others will think tho.

sleepwhenidie · 09/03/2015 10:59

Shop I saw someone trying on a v nice black jumpsuit in Reiss last week - is this for your Grand Cayman trip though (probably too heavy fabric for that). Sorry - I'm just dropping in and commenting on last 10 posts (as instructed by the lovely Lib when I saw her last week!)

Blair take it easy, hope you feel better soon Smile

shopafrolic · 09/03/2015 11:08

Waves to lovely Sleep. Yup for GC trip. Have ordered one from Splendid to try. The problem is going to be leg length I think.
Mara I'm keeping the dark wash Marrakesh too. Love them!

sleepwhenidie · 09/03/2015 11:17

blair - just saw about possible probiotics. You could get hold of some tablets - like these, which have a special coating to ensure the bacteria don't get destroyed by stomach acid before they can be absorbed. Or you could start taking a dose of supergreen powder [[http://livesuperfoods.com/amazing-grass-raw-reserve-organic-green-superfood.html I like this]] every day which I think is fantastic stuff. Tastes absolutely vile just with water, I try and have it in a green smoothie but if I cba to make it then I brace myself and mix with a small glass of water. I usually buy it on Amazon but can't see it at the moment, they usually have it in Whole Foods (more ££ there).

libertychick · 09/03/2015 11:18

Shop the Chloe is my first choice day to day coat ATM. Probably worn 5 out of 7 days since we did our big swop session! It gets lots of compliments.

Big wave to sleep and yy to all the folk who don't have time to keep up. Drop in whenever. It's lovely to have lots of chat.

fedup the long dresses on Pin are for my sister. She is 16 and has her first proper boyfriend and she is going to his prom in a few months. I'm enjoying the dress hunt Smile

Fedupnagging · 09/03/2015 11:37

Great will sort a date after Easter and we can talk holidays!

One and Shop you are both very organised with your holiday wardrobes whereas I dont seem to be. You're both making me feel very panicky Grin

Have just had a mini try on session with the navy crops I picked up on Sat; except they are not navy, they're black!! The lighting in some shops is terrible, and I should wear my glasses I could have sworn they were navy. Anyway here they are. They are a really good fit so will keep - look nice with the James purse knit I bought last week.

Now I still need navy crops....

Fedupnagging · 09/03/2015 11:45

So now this navy stripe T I got to go with the navy crops doesn't go!

I also paid full price so doubly not impressed.

By the way, hi to Sleep, nice to see you popping in.
