It's March. Spring is in the air. We are looking forward to losing layers and baring ankles.

This is the volume of the hen do and wedding. Will queen manage to get shop to wear penis boppers Grin. And will we all shed a tear when the beautiful blair gets married.

Following on from here

Thanks Mara the Sebago site looks good - will investigate.
My skinny Marrakech are still in the box. Will try tomorrow. The others I bought (in the lighter wash) should be back from being shortened to wear with trainers tomorrow.....

BrandyAlexander · 08/03/2015 11:13

Shop I meant to say.... I think someone else said it earlier but I wholeheartedly I agree with them. 5 star resorts tend to be more casual than you would think. We tend to dress very casually (mostly high street) and I don't dress any differently if it's work stuff taking place in a resort. So don't stressSmile

My holiday clothes are typically a sun dress of some sort for the day over bikini with Havaianas. My sun dresses are from the high street - M&S, top shop, oasis, desigual and wrangler were last years favourites. Or I do a t-shirt and shorts over bikini. Shorts are from banana republic, gap, and Ann taylor. In the evening, it's usually a simple dress (again high street) with jewelled sandals. I wear jewelry but not super bling. It's usually a good excuse to wear some of my nice bits from Accessorize.

Dh's holiday clothes are typically: cotton t-shirts (A&F, Gant) with Gant long-ish shorts. I think he has 3 of them in different colours. He might have added a couple from Gap last holiday. His evening wear is beige chinos (every store in the world represented in his wardrobe!), brown shoes (think from Churches) and either Gant or Ralph Lauren polo shirt or one of their semi-forms. shirts. Either plain or with faint stripes. It's normal too hot for a jacket but he has a couple of dark brown (to offset light beige trousers) jackets which are from Zara, H&M and Kenneth Cole.

MarshaBrady · 08/03/2015 13:16

Santa that's uncanny, I was just thinking that if anyone could do some nice ones Marant could. Not sure how I feel about the curved logo on the back, I realise how picky that is! Otherwise I love them.

Dry you are directional.

Shop I haven't seen your dresses yet, are they on here or maybe pin, but they sound ace and the shopping experience sounds fun too. Which is always important when you all go together.

Dh has an off white linen blazer that looks really good in summer, also wears pale suede chelsea type boots.

MarshaBrady · 08/03/2015 13:19

I had fun last night, and we spent so much, and then went back for breakfast as the dc were away for the night at the gps.

Linus I wore the Marant check shirt and dark skinnies, plus Lanvin wedges. It's really easy to not dress up. Sometimes people do on a Saturday night, but it looks a bit out of place.

Today I wore my Marant pale tweed jacket for the first time rather than the peacoat. Now just need to lighten up my whole wardrobe, the dark skinnies feel too dark.

No hangover today which is not bad considering, but I get so jittery the next day after drinking. Does anyone else get that?

libertychick · 08/03/2015 13:53

Yes me too Marsha, jittery and sometimes a bit low and slightly paranoid, getting worse with age. Sounds like a great night and I love having breakfast out after a big night (although too much nice coffee can make the jittery feeling worse Smile)

MarshaBrady · 08/03/2015 13:57

Oh gosh that's it Lib You've described it perfectly! It seems to have replaced the old version of the hangover, actually puts me off drinking again. But maybe that's the paranoia part Grin

I did manage to only have one coffee, which was a plus.

BallroomWithNoBalls · 08/03/2015 15:33

Hello! Just de lurking to link this blogpost from PurseBlog for Amber. I follow them on Bloglovin and this popped up, made for some enjoyable drooling - enjoy your research you lucky lady Smile

santamarianovella · 08/03/2015 15:33

marsha that's me every time I indulge a bit Grin, that's way I hardly have any now, but its good for skin to skip,

shop love all your shopping, , looks like you are all set, Smile,
Dh is a classic dresser too, but he doesn't do the polo thing at all, shoes are mostly tods, or brioni, he has very low tolerance for shopping and likes to get everything from one place, from clothes to shoes in one go,

There is an Italian brand called car shoe that is very similar to tods and you can't tell them apart TBH, but have no idea if they are available in UK, also hogan or geox are other options similar to tods, but much much more reasonably priced

went out this morning with DF and dcs for breakfast, was so mild and sunny, perfect! Wore spring clothes! Stella M cream snake print sweater, with cropped white marant jean i bought in a rush yesterday, love the fit, And my lovely chanel espadrilles from last year,

liberty, the Clark shoes add are following me all the time now Grin

queen those MD shoes are really beautiful,

AmberNectarine · 08/03/2015 15:47

Thanks for that Ballroom - I know I definitely want caviar leather because I am HARD on my bags and probably not too big, but no idea beyond that. Think I will have to go and try a load on in store!

shopafrolic · 08/03/2015 16:13

Had a last minute panic about being overdressed so have ordered jumpsuit and All Saints dress - DH loves you Linus

libertychick · 08/03/2015 16:33

Oh that has made me laugh Santa - it's almost like they know what would most hurt your eyes!!! Love the sound of your outfit today. I did a little sort through of clothes for next week earlier and the lovely trench coat you gave me has been dusted off for spring - I was doing twirls in it in front of the mirror earlier Smile

libertychick · 08/03/2015 16:39

Shock there you go again Shop giving all the credit to Linus - I linked the All Saints dress [need a stroppy, sulky emoticon now]

DH will get over it when he sees how fab you will look in both Wink

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 08/03/2015 16:41

Lovely shop!

Amber you lucky thing. I read and enjoyed the guide... I like this one, there's something about the diagonal quilting that makes it a bit more edgy.

I've concluded that my stomach ache etc is 99% due to the antibiotics I'm on, which I can't really stop, so need to try to manage it. I think the GP will tell me to stop taking them before they can tell what's wrong, so I might just ask a pharmacist for some advice first. I just hope I don't feel like this for the next 2 months! Sorry to keep going on about it, as well. I never normally get ill so I've been a bit freaked out.

The mens' holiday wear chat is really interesting. DP always says he would like a casual blazer but has never bought one. Last year he bought some of those leather flip flops with a bottle opener in the sole. We're so classy Grin

libertychick · 08/03/2015 16:47

Blair give your DP a high five from my DH! He has the bottle opener in sole version too Grin

I'd be tempted to see GP anyway, they may have have some suggestions about dosage or a different brand / type of antibiotic?

BerniceBobsHerHair · 08/03/2015 17:09

Hello all, hope you have enjoyed your weekends.

Shop good shopping - love the jumpsuit especially. Have no experience of that kind of hol so can't advise but sounds like you have got it sorted now. What will you wear for the gala dinner? And will you be taking your J Crew heels - have you worn them yet?

Blair sorry you are feeling ill. Funny you should link the Chanel bag in a pic with Kristen Stewart, as I think she is one of Amber's style crushes.

QueenC agree those MD shoes are lovely. Can't remember why you don't do pointed shoes, is it preference or something to do with your clothing personality (enjoying the CP thread btw).

What kind of short flares are you looking for? I saw a Hobbs pair in stylist magazine that looked good but not on their website yet.

Love this look and this and finally this though veering into culottes territory

One I will keep an eye out for leopard boots - think they would suit your style and they add a certain something to a simple outfit.

Justa lovely mih purchases, can never have too many chambray shirts imo Wink

Topaz had a look at the website you linked to - some good bargains to be had there. Another good one is coggles. Have a few things I have my eye on.

Marsha I can see you in the white trainers and bare ankles look. I am pleased I kept my superstars and have been wearing them quite a bit.

AmberNectarine · 08/03/2015 17:21

Spot on Bernice, I love K-Stew - she looks great in the Chanel campaign!

OneLittleLady · 08/03/2015 17:37

thanks bernice I'm really keen on getting some now I've thought about it. I love the superstars on other people but I just can't do trainers. Converse, vans and superga, they are fine but actual proper trainers just don't suit anything I wear. my hi top cons and superga look great with my dresses and skirts but I just can't picture myself wearing any kind of trainer like NB or superstars. they just aren't me I guess

shopafrolic · 08/03/2015 18:16

Bernice I haven't worn the J Crew heels yet - looking forward to them working hard this Spring. Will try them and the red Jigsaw ones with the Karen Millen dress - we'll see what works.
Lib apologies (I've been on the wine today). My only excuse. Thanks to you both Flowers can't dress myself

AmberNectarine · 08/03/2015 19:00

Just read that these Zara jeans are a good jimmy jimmy knock off...

Drywhiteplease · 08/03/2015 19:04

Sorry can't speak I'm so excited about meeting Ross Poldark again.......had a pre teen crush on him the first time round love a man in breeches, pony tail, tricorn hat am beyond excited about tonight....may need to have a lie down, can feel swooning come on Grin

Stans again today with TS love it, so sort

Drywhiteplease · 08/03/2015 19:06

Under navy boxy fine knit and Gap straight cut turned up....feel great.

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 08/03/2015 19:34

Sounds great Dry :) I googled Ross Poldark and am not really any the wiser...but enjoy!

Lib yes I probably will, it's just such a pain to try and get an appointment first thing in the morning (last time I had the 6pm appt and was seen at 6.30, no thanks!)

Does anyone have the J crew schoolboy blazer? I feel like someone does but could be wrong. I had a revelation that jackets (blazers) work better on me than cardigans, but I hate jackets and don't really own any that I'd wear. Time to grow up a bit I guess.

Drywhiteplease · 08/03/2015 19:38

Poldark, BBB1 9pm, bodice ripping period drama remake of 1970s series Blair.

shopafrolic · 08/03/2015 19:41

Don't grow up too quick Blair
I was looking at J Crew Blazers but never invested......
Dry will be Sky+ Poldark

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 08/03/2015 19:44

Oh ok, bodice ripping eh? Hope it lives up to your expectations :)

I should say I don't hate jackets, I just hate the way I feel restricted in them. Maybe I need to find some nice ones! I don't wear them to work but think I will start. And chuck out my cardigans so I'm not tempted.
