It's March. Spring is in the air. We are looking forward to losing layers and baring ankles.

This is the volume of the hen do and wedding. Will queen manage to get shop to wear penis boppers Grin. And will we all shed a tear when the beautiful blair gets married.

Following on from here

Poor you MaraThanks I hate it if dh is even away for one night (yes I know rich coming from me!). Not least because he has the whole house rigged up like a gadget persons version of heaven. I couldn't even work the TV or the AirPrinter in his absence. Hmm

I am wearing my gap high waisted skinny jeans. They are the least forgiving pair of jeans I have and have managed to hoof my arse into them so feeling quite pleased. Also wearing my Shop inspired Michael Kors stripey top and over it my Helmut Lang knitted top. It's a beautiful day but Shock to bare ankles!!

BrandyAlexander · 07/03/2015 15:01

Oh good QuuenC you poor thing! swimming pool + hangover = he ll!

QueenCardigan · 07/03/2015 16:36

Thanks for the all the sympathy, not that I deserve it!
ujj I have the gap curvy. I don't have any suitable sandals to go with them and I don't really want to get any. The only sandals on my wish list this summer will be small block heels in grey or silver which wouldn't go either. I think I'll return them and look out for some cropped flares that can be worn with flats. Maybe you could bring the gap straight ones next week?
mara sorry in my hungover fug I forgot to give you sympathy. It's hard work being alone with dc.
novice what time are you coming next week? I think you said you're comng but not for all of it?

Hi all what a beautiful day it is!
Queenc hope you feel better soon Grin
Mara that sounds tough. We went through a phase last year where dh was away mon to thu and that was hard even though he was here weekends.
Marsha I think stan smiths would be great on you for spring.
santa sigh love those marant looks esp the jackets and love the sound of your outfit today
Lib love those sandals.
Psst if anyone wants some bargain mih slim flare there are some on tkmaxx for £29.99!!here
I got this too

I already have 2 chambray shirts but it was too much of a bargain to resist
Right off to cook have family coming over later. Will check back later to see what shop bought today Grin

libertychick · 07/03/2015 16:56

Have been messing around avoiding studying trying on clothes. I haven't taken the labels off this jacket yet. The shape is great and the colour works with loads of other things...

BUT..I would mostly wear it open and the buttons (apart from the top one) are silver tone popper buttons so the silver is very obvious. Most of the items it works with look better with gold jewellery and I am mostly wearing gold these days actually gold tone / gold plate it's going to take a while to upgrade my jewelery The mix of gold and silver is really annoying me! Do other people notice this? I am on the verge of returning the jacket over it - is that a bit daft? What would you all do?

To be really perverse this Zara jacket also has silver hardwear but it's not bothering me on that jacket at all Confused

libertychick · 07/03/2015 16:59

Justa chambray shirts are so versatile especially that shade in summer time - great buy IMO!

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 07/03/2015 17:21

I can't see the chambray shirt because it's sold out, did you pin it justa?

Thanks for asking Lib, I'm not better, stomach ache and nausea are pretty bad today. I'm going to go to the doctor next week I think. I had a nice day though, went for a coffee with Dsis and got to see DP in his suit. :)

Lib not sure on the jacket, I would return it if you know it will annoy you that much and you can't compromise by wearing it done up. The sandals are really nice.

QueenC hope you feel better.

I'm starting to think about outfits for next week... I wonder what the weather will be like?

shopafrolic · 07/03/2015 17:24

Am sat in the car with DS asleep in the back so will have to do links later.
I've had a successful day but not sure I've cracked it yet. HoF was dire, I tried on a beautiful black jumpsuit in Coast which would have been stunning but the trouser part was too short.
Ended up in Karen Millen and DH has bought me two lovely dresses. I am still a little unsure if they might be too structured for Grand Cayman but DH and I both loved them and he said to buy them anyway (we have a wedding to go to in May) and a few other social bits so they will get worn. Found some black lace up heels in Dune, need to get some red suede court shoes. Am hoping Whistles might have some and I can use my 20% off. Will have a look later.
Got a beautiful white cotton beach cover up in M&S which looks ££££ and found an easy white cotton dress in GAP which should be versatile. Kitted DS out too with boat shoes, crocs, polo shirts, shorts etc. Phew! Epic post and no links yet!
Sympathies to QueenC for hangover and mara.
Marsha have fun tonight

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 07/03/2015 17:31

Sounds like a great haul shop, eagerly awaiting links!

shopafrolic · 07/03/2015 17:33

Am still stuck in car! Have managed to Pin some bits...

AmberNectarine · 07/03/2015 17:51

Helpfully finds shoes for shop. I have these in pink and they are SO comfy!

libertychick · 07/03/2015 18:03

Quick question re superga - are they true to size?

Shop you will look amazing in that pink Karen Millen - wow!

shopafrolic · 07/03/2015 18:13

Amber thanks :) Can you helpfully find me some that are more in the £100 price range? I just can't justify the spend on heels ATM :(
The pink Karen Millen is fab Lib - there were loads of women in store and they all said, if you can only buy one, buy the pink. If you can buy two - get the pink and the white and black and then they all looked at DH with flirty smiles Grin. He said "this is a New York moment isn't it?" and one of the women said "Yup, New York, New York - buy two!" so he did.
It is a fab dress. Plans for no polyester have gone out of the window but DH said if I find something more suitable that's fine too. His boss handed his notice in last week, and the new guy coming in is an old colleague so he is clearly in a better mood than usual!

shopafrolic · 07/03/2015 18:18

this was the jumpsuit I tried LOVED it, had pockets. Perfect. Just an inch too short in the leg. If anyone can find me that - but longer in the leg I would be very happy.
this one wasn't so good on me as it hid my waist.

AmberNectarine · 07/03/2015 18:28

Your wish is my command shop - half price too!

libertychick · 07/03/2015 18:31

Good work Amber Smile

shopafrolic · 07/03/2015 18:39

You are good Amber - they have to be worth a try at that price. Might have just sneaked in an envelope suede clutch too..... :) Flowers

shopafrolic · 07/03/2015 18:47

make that two clutches

LinusDKD · 07/03/2015 19:00

Impressive shopping shop! I really like the black and white dress.

lib I just checked and I am a 37 in Superga. I can be anything from a 37.5 to a 38 (and even a 36.5 in my Manolos Shock ) but a 37 is rarer.

justa soo jealous of those TK Maxx MiH bargains.

blair sorry to hear you're still unwell. Could it maybe be an ulcer? I know DF and DFIL had one that wasn't caused by stress but by some bacteria and they felt a lot better after some AB's.

mara I sympathise, a traveling DH sucks big time.

santa lovely IM links. I love her style but for some reason her clothes don't really work on me. Probably because I lack that rock chick vibe all her clothes have.

I loved some of the Matthew Willamson dresses for next winter. Gorgeous jewel colours that a right up my street. Might have pinned a couple on a A/W 2015 pinboard (yes, I realise we're still A/W 2014!)

Hair of the dog tonight queenc? Wink

Have fun marsha! What are you wearing?

libertychick · 07/03/2015 19:08

Thanks Linus. I had an inkling they ran a bit small, I chucked out my old pair about 6 months ago.

Great bags shopping Shop.

LinusDKD · 07/03/2015 19:22

I only bought a small rollerball perfume today

We went to a Diptyque shop today and DH and I felt like we were in Alladin's Cave. If the DC weren't getting grumpier by the minute we would have stayed in there sniffing candles all morning and would probably have left with half the shop.

In the end I bought the rollerball perfume oil version of l'Ombre dans l'eau which is the perfume equivalent of the Baies candle.

Such a handy purse size and it doesn't contain any alcohol so safe to use in the sun.

And we also bought a liquid handsoap for in our bathroom far away from little hands squirting the stuff like there's no tomorrow

The SA was also very generous with the samples so now I have the shower gel, body lotion and miniature of my perfume, a gorgeous smelling handcream and a sample of the liquid soap.

Seriously, I could have bought the whole shop.

shopafrolic · 07/03/2015 19:39

Sounds fab Linus especially scent you can wear in the sun :)
These shoes were fab too

Drywhiteplease · 07/03/2015 19:51

Nice sandals liberty. Great cheeses.

Mara DH's is away for a week. I really remember how horrible it was when I had little ones and no family nearby. We are here Smile must do lunch when he gets back

Marsha you have made me happy.....for once I'm "on trend" as the trend is happening, not after 2 years of thinking about it Grin wore my S smiths today.

Saw The Theory of Everything with dcs or is it DTs? Dear teenagers this afternoon. V good . Saw a trailer for Suite Francaise, I read and loved the book, film looks good.....all hail the chic fashion goddess that is Kirsten Thomas Smile

shopafrolic · 07/03/2015 19:52

Ladies - a question. What do men wear at 5* beach resorts on their feet? In the evenings.......
DH is quite a classic dresser, chinos, polo shirts etc. I wondered about Tods but I don't know where to start and he is having a heart attack at the price, any ideas?
Also any suggestions for wear to buy a nice men's lightweight jacket / blazer?
Thanks

QueenCardigan · 07/03/2015 19:56

No hair of the dog linus. I've only just recovered!
shop good shopping. You sound like you're pretty sorted now. No idea about men's footwear though.
