It's March. Spring is in the air. We are looking forward to losing layers and baring ankles.

This is the volume of the hen do and wedding. Will queen manage to get shop to wear penis boppers Grin. And will we all shed a tear when the beautiful blair gets married.

bad fake tanned feet Grin

OneLittleLady · 06/03/2015 23:47

love those sandals but the tan is terrible! I don't like fake tan anyway, it always looks, well, so fake to me, it never seems to look like a natural healthy glow or maybe I've just seen it overly and badly applied. Or it could be jealousy because the one time I tried fake tan I looked like an oompa loompa Grin

Drywhiteplease · 06/03/2015 23:50

I love the stuff but have to go steady

Drywhiteplease · 06/03/2015 23:57

Continuing my French blog thing intersting

OneLittleLady · 06/03/2015 23:57

Dry I think your skin tone in the first place really makes a difference to how fake tan turns out. I think it looks best on people with slightly darker skin rather than those, like me, who have casper the ghost skin! My Dsis has darker skin tone than me and her fake tan always looks ok but even just a smudge of it on me makes my skin glow orange (I get the smudges from helping Dsis apply hers for big nights out)

MarshaBrady · 07/03/2015 07:49

Lol Dry I'll open after my breakfast Grin

Santa love the Marant links. I pinned some too. Then I realised (again) how much I love her stuff for the ability to stay Marant each season but update and feel fresh. She's so good.

Going out tonight, it'll be the usual but I do need it love it.

MarshaBrady · 07/03/2015 07:53

I do like the French link Dry and really like some of the good colour ones and agree the blue pants one doesn't work.

MarshaBrady · 07/03/2015 07:59

Shop have fun today and good luck. If you're not sure you could try on and order online as returns might be a pain (not sure how far MK is). Will be thinking good shopping day vibes with you.

Drywhiteplease · 07/03/2015 09:25

Washing on the line Shock socks off....it's going to be SUNNY Grin quick before it changes

Enjoy your shopping day Shop

libertychick · 07/03/2015 09:35

There is a French market on my local high street today. I feel a cheese buying frenzy coming on!

MarshaBrady · 07/03/2015 09:54

15 degrees today Shock

I actually feel like winter barely happened in London. Lovely to see blossom too, feels early but it's probably not.

Lib go wild!

Drywhiteplease · 07/03/2015 10:28

liberty fantastic.....hope you're wearing a breton and beret combo! oh and don't forget Stan Smiths, EVERYONE in France is wearing them.
Report back on cheese.
I'm going in search of Burrata today if I have time.

maradesbois · 07/03/2015 11:15

Morning!

Sunshine here too. Not as warm as London but still nice enough to ditch the heavy coat for my beloved navy marni 3/4 sleeve.

Plans sound good, Lib's cheese and Envy of Marsha's night out. Am in the midst of a long spell of dh's work travels (as in weeks not days), was out one night in the week but it's still been long. Also Shop, am not a fan of MK (go near there once a year for a car auction thing with dh, you probably know the place) but it's Manhattan compared to where am spending today.

Loved the Marant show too, great jackets, coats and striped knits plus love the high waist trousers.

maradesbois · 07/03/2015 11:19

Dry I can't do burrata, the cream Shock. Same with the Gorgonzola/marscapone torta. Dh gets a good burrata in waitrose though so you should find there.

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 07/03/2015 11:28

Morning all. So sunny - may be top down weather! :) I'm taking my sister to get her BM dress adjusted, and then going with DP to the suit hire place to give my valued opinion.

Have fun shop - hope HoF comes up trumps. Re the cheese, I will have to live vicariously through Lib and Dry - now that my dress has been fitted I need to eat well for the next 5 weeks . I loved the way it looked though.

Picked up my adjusted Acne jeans yesterday and I love them, they're worth every penny. They are thick enough to suck everything in and are high waisted, I love the way my bum looks!

One you'll be fine, I know what you mean about feeling overwhelmed before a big occasion though Grin

MarshaBrady · 07/03/2015 11:29

Mara that is tough, I hope your Dh is through it soon - for you both.

I just walked 30 minutes to 3rd place that is open and does eggs. I haven't had any for days and am missing a proper breakfast.

I am sitting outside and looking around I've realised I absolutely need white plimsol / Stan Smith or other and rolled jeans and bare ankles. This will update me to Spring in a flash Grin

MarshaBrady · 07/03/2015 11:30

Blair exciting. Bet it looked amazing.

santamarianovella · 07/03/2015 12:21

Good luck shop,

marsha maybe you could go for somthing like these ? I saw someone trying them on yesterday, and they looked very nice,

Not very long now blair! Good luck for today today's tryout and fittings!

It's gloriously sunny and mild today! Dh and I are going out for lunch, then I'm picking my DF from the airport, Smile, im wearing mih Marrakech , APC chambray shirt and navy cashmere sweater, no coat! Yay! But have my trench on standby.

mara It must be really difficult, dh travels less now, but I remember how terrible it was, hope it slow down a bit,

QueenCardigan · 07/03/2015 13:08

Hello all. Feeling a little delicate today. Dh is on a bike ride and I managed to bribe the dc to let me have a nap on the sofa. Am now carbo loading the hangover away.

libertychick · 07/03/2015 13:22

Hugs Mara, hope you get a break soon.

Sounds like a great day Blair. Make sure you get some rest too - are you feeling better?

One the holiday will be great but perfectly normal to feel nervous before something that big and exciting. Don't stress about your hair, you'll have a hat on a lot on holidays anyway and colouring it can be a treat when you get home. Are you sleeping any better?

Dry I wore a suitably Gallic ensemble of cream and red stripe breton with navy chinos and black loafers - it wasn't intentional!!! I was already there when I realised the market was on. Bought a small Camembert and a small piece each of Port Salut, Brie and Munster. DH doesn't really eat cheese and I stuck to ones that I know DD will help me with. She's just had some Port Salut with crackers with her lunch and declared it 'delicious' - she is a little cheese fiend.

Tried on several pairs of sandals in Clarks and didn't like any of them. I ordered these Russell and Bromley flat sandals last night. Will pick them up in Westfield during the week.

libertychick · 07/03/2015 13:23

oh poor you QueenC Smile

Ujjayi · 07/03/2015 14:34

Afternoon VoguettesSmile. The sun feels soooo good today. Currently sat in the garden with a pot of tea & soaking up all tge glorious vitamin D. I had my hair highlighted this morning & have that lovely swishy hair feeling...it never lasts long!

No cheese treats here today as I have 5lbs to shift to return to my pre-illness weight. I am salivating at Lib's haul tho.

Mara must be tough having DH work away for so long. Love the sound of your Marni coat.

One - try & enjoy the build up to your holiday. I find it stressful too & therefore don't really relax until the day after we arrive, being ridiculously snappy & short tempered. Determined not to do that this year. Agree that colouring hair before hols is a waste. It'll be tucked away & it will be lovely to have a fresh colour to compliment your post holiday glow Smile

Marsha I'm with you on the spring refresh. It sounds like the perfect update.

Lib I love that blog. I began reading the colour post thinking how restrictive but it all absolutely made sense. I am hoping it will help my wardrobe revamp. I want classic, pared down pieces but mixed with Marant cool to keep it fresh. Luckily I bought quite a few MaxMara pieces 10 years ago which I can bring out now. I felt boring in them then but I think in my 40s they should feel right.

Ujjayi · 07/03/2015 14:35

QueenC...this too shall pass Wink

QueenCardigan · 07/03/2015 14:41

Ugh, sitting in the hot clammy swimming pool whilst dd has her lesson. Feeling decidedly nauseous Grin. I've put on far too many clothes for today's sunshine. I think I could have done without the vest.

I put the flares on earlier but took them off again as decided I didn't want to wear boots today. I think i may return them.

OP posts:
Ujjayi · 07/03/2015 14:46

Oh poor you QueenC. The air around swimming pools is not conducive to well being at the best of times. Which flares did you have? Could you team them with closed toe Hasbeens or similar platform sandals?
