Can't open link fedup but I used to love wide legged trousers worn with fitted tops, super flattering if you have a waist.

Just done crazy challenge at gym.......half an hour later and I'm still crimson Shock but proud that I kicked arse and at 48 beat some of the younger ones Grin.....off to have a lie down, slippers on and a cuppa Grin

Ujjayi · 15/02/2015 12:12

Santa I saw the DM pics too. Why would you use your child as an accessory/dress up doll? It is awful.

Dry well done on the work out! Embrace the glow Smile

Fedup I like those trousers too. I can see myself wearing that style this summer.

Having a lazy lounging day with the DCs & maybe a little online window shopping later.

Enjoy your sundays Voguettes Smile

justasecond · 15/02/2015 12:24

I always ask DH's fashion advice. He knows nothing about trends and has no interest at all but he does have a good eye for what suits me. When I have kept things he has vetoed they always end up on ebay a few months later. Even dsis asks his opinion on things now Grin
We ignore valentine's day here too in fact I find it all really irritating. We spent the day at the shops then car showroom with dc. We wanted to take them out for their tea but of course everywhere was really busy.Annoying.
Love the white with black stripes shop will look good on you. I looked at the navy stan smiths yesterday but was not in the mood to try on besides not sure I can justify at moment as I have unworn black pony hair russell and bromley skater shoes in wardrobe which will do the same job.
Fedup love the wide trousers
lib both skirts are great. Shame about the yellow cardi I see what you mean about fine knit cardis they only really work imo if you wear them like a jumper i.e done up with just a vest top underneath.
Dry I am going to try the silver clarks shoes too. I had the M&s pointy slingback ones last year that snapped at the back. I replaced them with a rose gold pair from Jones but would still like a silver pair this year.

OneLittleLady · 15/02/2015 12:27

hello all

a very quiet day here. Dbro is coming to hang a print for me in a short while and i'm sat sipping tea listening to nick cave and the bad seeds. OneCat has found the only pile of clean laundry to curl up on as usual

justasecond · 15/02/2015 12:30

Oh forgot I bought these www.whistles.com/women/clothing/jeans/ecru-skinny-jeans.html?dwvar_ecru-skinny-jeans_color=Ivory Flattering fit for a light jean and they are the perfect length. Thought they will make a nice change for SS and go with stuff I already have like grey jumpers or rose pink cashmere jumper or chambray shirt.

libertychick · 15/02/2015 12:46

Smile at the image of onecat hunting down the clean laundry pile!

Lovely jeans justa. When I was reading what you said about the fine knit cardi it dawned on me why they don't look right..I have sloping shoulders and the fine knit seems to draw attention to that, I need a bit of structure or heavier weight fabric there to even out proportions. On the style day, the consultant suggested I get some small shoulder pads and try them with tops but it sort of went over my head I thought she was being a bit mad actually and trying to make me look like an 80's throwback but maybe I need to try some.

Fedup I like those trousers. I think wide leg trousers can look fantastic but again it's all about the proportions. Definitely need a defined waist / fitted top or maybe with the fine knit sweater you bought with a fitted top underneath that IYSWIM.

libertychick · 15/02/2015 12:56

And Dry well done on the gym. You were probably able to kick ass by imagining the IL's Grin. I like the shape of the Dune shoes but I keep thinking the print looks a bit big - how do you find it IRL? Leopard print flats of some type are definitely on my list of things I would like to get over the next few months. I love these ones but they are £££.

LinusDKD · 15/02/2015 14:18

Afternoon!

fedup I love wide leg trousers! I can't open your link either but I have fond memories of a light grey flannel pair of wide leg trousers I wore as a student. I wore them with a cropped grey turtleneck and thought I looked a million dollars.

If I see a pair I like in the shops I'll definitely give them a try, even though my waist is not what it used to be anymore after two DC.

I totally forgot to mention a recent purchase of mine for S/S! DH was in London last week and I'd asked him to pick up some Uniqlo heattech tees for me and I also 'ordered' one of the Ines de la Fressange breton dresses.

It's lovely but quite short, so definitely only for summery days. Will try and find a link.

Well done on the gym dry! I haven't been for a run in ages and at the moment I still feel too weak. Running up and down the stairs makes me feel a bit lightheaded! Hmm

Those Kanye West sneakers actually look quite nice but I bet the only input he had was to nod or shake his head when Adidas lackeys showed him model after model of what their designers had put down on paper.

LinusDKD · 15/02/2015 14:19

uniqlo dress

Perfect for summer!

OneLittleLady · 15/02/2015 14:34

I'm the opposite with knits I think lib big chunky knits just make me look big and bulky whereas a finer knit shows off my waist more and my small-ish shoulders lets not talk about the bingo wings though, eh?

I've been bugged again today to start 'dressing my age'. what does that even mean?! I look young in the face so a twin set and pearls isn't suddenly going to make me look older is it?!

libertychick · 15/02/2015 15:01

Who has been telling you to dress your age one? It's a strange notion isn't it? Much more important to respect your individual style I think.

Great dress Linus - roll on the weather for it I say Smile. Definitely no running for you for a few days. Get well!!!!

OneLittleLady · 15/02/2015 15:03

Family lib they think i dress like a teenager! I am ignoring them though, I have no desire to dress how they deem appropriate, I'll wear what I like and if they don't like it, it's a bit tough

Drywhiteplease · 15/02/2015 15:24

Liberty the size of the print is a bit big you're right. It's the only thing I'm not entirely sure about. Think I may return but what if I don't find a pair I like? This is my problem with shopping and also why I'm terrible at playing sales chicken I have an exact image in my mind of what I want, sometimes not a good thing, and occasionally I settle for the nearest match which is never perfect iykwim but I worry I'll never find exactly what I want.
On the other hand when I do find exactly what I had in mind it's wonderful.
Damn.....I need to return don't i?

QueenCardigan · 15/02/2015 15:24

Aaaaggghhhh. Mil is driving me mad Grin.

I might need to go for a run.

Drywhiteplease · 15/02/2015 15:44

still quite a big print

libertychick · 15/02/2015 15:55

Get out there QueenC Grin

It is really annoying dry! There are not a lot of leopard print pointy toe shoes out there. Do you remember Shop's quest for the Madewell ones that had to have the exact right amount of toe cleavage too???? Do the ones you have currently really look that bad? if you can live with what you have for another month or two I would be tempted to return and see if something better comes along. But if you do this, I will not be held responsible in the event that the perfect ones don't reveal themselves Smile

libertychick · 15/02/2015 15:56

Sorry but I hate the little bow on those KG ones runs, I am clearly only making this worse

libertychick · 15/02/2015 15:58

I love these ones but want all over leopard and less £££

justasecond · 15/02/2015 15:58

These are also a big print but I think they look better as the colours are more subtle only a few sizes left though. I think smaller print ones look better Will keep looking as I am sure I have seen some somewhere recently.

Drywhiteplease · 15/02/2015 16:09

liberty I use MNV to keep me on the straight and narrow! I won't hold you responsible.
Shop's Madewell ones are perfect but I daren't risk it as I haven't tried them. The ones I have will do for a bit longer. I'm going to be sensible and wait.
I had the perfect pair from m and s when I first came on here, when you all bought the snake skin version was it called "almond toe"? but I wore them so much they developed a bald patch Grin

Here's a pic of the Dune ones on

Hello all

Have had a lovely, lovely weekend. As well as the lovely flowers DH bought me a black shearling snood, which is fab - he knows I love a bit of texture! We went out for some karaoke, tapas and drinks last night and had a wonderful evening :) I wore an oversized white shirt tucked into a grey fringed mini from Zara, black studded lace up Stuart Weitzman shoe boots and my Tiffany bone cuff. Took my little telephone bag which DH is baffled by as it doesn't even fit my actual phone, but I do love it.

Today am just phoning it in wearing a bright pink cashmere sweater from J Crew, mid wash skinnies and cobalt converse high tops with my leopard print coat. Took DCs to the cinema and for lunch and now I am just relaxing. Blissful - shame I have a mountain of ironing to do tonight!

Hope you have all had equally lovely weekends! :)

AmberNectarine · 15/02/2015 16:14

These are a great price!

LinusDKD · 15/02/2015 16:22

dry my lovely J Crew pony hair leopard flats have also developed a bald spot. Sad

They'll have to do for another summer and I'm not sure I'll ever buy pony hair shoes again.

I am still on the lookout for the perfect black flats (the Balenciaga pair I have been lusting after never went on sale) so I hope to find some this summer.

Drywhiteplease · 15/02/2015 16:33

Ooooh Amber how did I miss those? Worth a try I think. Thanks Smile

bettykt · 15/02/2015 16:33

I was on a search last year for some and[[https://www.pinterest.com/pin/363947213611122544/ settled for these but they are a bit orange Confused have to wear them with all black in order for them to look okay

are these your ones Linus? these are my ultimate ones

I also love these Rockstud ones

love this look
