Tough - huh?!?! I went to the trouble of finding out about the quality of the engineering department at the time that she undertook her degree. My comment about 'does it matter' was more to do with what does it really matter in the context of her life, her career and the the decisions she has made whether her degree, which was obtained over 35 years ago, was a 'good' one or not? It's probably a judgement call. You'd need to look at the overall transcript to see how she ended up with a third. You'd need to look at the supporting reference her tutor provided. With a reputation as a strong engineering department, if I had been looking to employ her, I would probably give more weight to a third from Cambridge than a third from another university. But whether it should be given more weight than a higher class degree from another university is unclear.

Can I go back to trivial matters now?

If I did the amount of exercise that Madge does, I'd be bloody pissed off if I had to wear a buttock sling. And I'm not sure I'd be advertising the fact that I was wearing one. What stops it from pinging up?

I think it's the seam on her running leggings. Still one of the worst camel's hooves/moose's knuckles I have ever had the misfortune to see!!

Branleuse · 09/02/2015 23:04

it doeesnt matter how clever you are, how welll you've done, if youre a woman and make a fashion faux pas, youll be ripped to shreds

CuttedUpPear · 09/02/2015 23:13

Those were accidental multiple posts, but entirely on message.

Madge, you can have a few of those as well.

Envy

Thanks for the hair holding Smile

MargotLovedTom · 09/02/2015 23:17

To be fair Branleuse, if Jeremy Paxman was photographed in a tight pair of Ron Hills clearly outlining his meat and two veg, I'm sure there'd be comments on that and not his incisive interviewing technique or perceived intelligence.

LineRunner · 09/02/2015 23:21

I can confirm that I have repeatedly been grossed out by Terry Wogan's penis as seen through his corduroy trousers.

cardamomginger · 09/02/2015 23:29

Line - I really did not expect to read that.

Feel a bit peculiar.
