Have fun gorgeous Dry - outfit sounds fabulous x

OneLittleLady · 23/01/2015 19:35

you absolutely must do pics lib i for one want to see how different that statement necklace looks on you than it did on me, i bet you glow with it whereas i just looked ill!!

my Dsis has picked me up a grey and black maxi dress from the supermarket today, hope it looks okay!

QueenCardigan · 23/01/2015 20:25

Much as I love Kate I'm not sure about this look.

I'm bored-it's Friday night and I feel that I need to be out. Dh is still at work and won't be back for ages, kids are glued to iPads and I'm waiting for the ocado Man. Rock n roll. Might have to crack open a bottle.

shopafrolic · 23/01/2015 20:30

If it makes you feel any better DH has gone to bed (jet lag) and I am sat with the ILs watching TV. On the plus side, the Pashli will be here tomorrow! And I really want the de Manta you linked Hmm

QueenCardigan · 23/01/2015 20:32

Buy it. Buy it. Buy it. Grin

I've just bought libs grey dvf from her!

QueenCardigan · 23/01/2015 20:33

shopafrolic · 23/01/2015 20:49

What grey DVF? link please

muddlingalongquitenicely · 23/01/2015 20:51

Im sitting watching jamie oliver with a bar of salted caramel dark chocolate after a really heavy meeting that went on for ages and finished late. Wanted to do a face mask as my face is so dry but have none in the house and nothing in the kitchen to use as well

shopafrolic · 23/01/2015 21:00

What do you normally use from the kitchen Muddling? Intrigued.

muddlingalongquitenicely · 23/01/2015 21:08

I was googling homemade face masks on my way home and found some recipes for yoghurt and very ripe banana ( got home youngest had the squishy banana in a milk shake and i remembered i had the last of the yoghurt for breakfast) spotted one that used an egg DH had used the eggs for dinner.
The heating/air conditioner at work has really dried out my skin abd i am now trying to reapply moisturiser during lunch time.

BrandyAlexander · 23/01/2015 21:08

Love that top Dry would love to be able to wear it.

My mulberry bayswater bag arrived a couple of days ago. I kept it because it felt like an itch scratched. Will start using it tomorrow so expect a post in 24 hours from me moaning about the weight!Grin

Shop are you all set for the party?

shopafrolic · 23/01/2015 21:16

Pretty much Novice
Party bags packed, supermarket trip for food tomorrow, pick up balloons and cake. Make sandwiches Sunday AM, party at 11. Wish me luck :)
How about you?
no idea what I'll wear though

BrandyAlexander · 23/01/2015 21:19

I am way too lazy to make a face mask! I get the Montagne jeunesse face masks (self heating ones). I just do a different one each week depending on condition of face. I also love the body shop oatmeal and honey one as i have dry skin. Since I started doing the face masks (plus using Liz Earle daily) my skin has never been better even though I wear more are up than I did say, 10 years ago.

shopafrolic · 23/01/2015 21:20

I don't think I've done a face mask for 10+ years (other than in a salon)

muddlingalongquitenicely · 23/01/2015 21:26

I thought i had some montagne facemasks at home (bought a load on 3 for 2) but all gone i like the heated ones as well. The homemade one was a last resort but will go and stock up on some more tomorrow.

BrandyAlexander · 23/01/2015 21:27

Think I am all done. We are doing party bags tomorrow. Have all the bits, they just need packing. Cake is arriving here tomorrow afternoon. I am really nervous something will happen to it in transit! No way i am driving! We pick up balloons on Sunday. I have got so many, goodness knows how they're getting in the car!

I am wearing cashmere sweater (maybe white company?) with j crew matchstick jeans (or leather leggings) and RB bikers. I will get more fussed about making sure my make ups done so I look good in the photos. vain having said that on ds' birthday last year I was in my big jack wolfskin jacket and looking errr windswept. Grin

BrandyAlexander · 23/01/2015 21:34

I get the Montagne ones delivered by amazon each month so get 15% off. It's like £4 for a pack of 6.

Shop, it's part of my morning routine. The benefit of a nanny is we have breakfast with dcs each morning then she washes and gets kids dressed. I have 20-25 mins so I do something different each day. I rotate between face mask (once or twice a week), defuzzing (once), dry body scrub (once) and foot scrub (once). All goes on then i do other things eg brush teeth before I get in shower. It's a tight operation before the school run!

QueenCardigan · 23/01/2015 21:36

I use a neutrogena blackhead facemask once weekly . I really notice if I have a break from the neutrogena stuff the tiny spots and blackheads come back.

Trying to get dd (9) to bed because I want to go. That girl's got more stamina than me!

muddlingalongquitenicely · 23/01/2015 21:40

I like the sound of your routine novice im going to try and work it in as i only have to get myself ready in the morning as only have 1 DS at home now and we just wake him up before we leave the house in the morning (early starts for DH and I as he drops me off to catch the bus on his way to work and it takes me 45 minutes to get there)

BrandyAlexander · 23/01/2015 21:46

Muddling, yes it works for me. If I didn't do this, I would never do anything! I also rub Shea butter foot cream on the soles of my feet most nights. It stops feet getting hard and manly and takes 2 mins to do last thing at night.

OneLittleLady · 23/01/2015 21:52

I use Lush Oatifix face mask as I have really dry skin and it's so moisturising for it. It's made of oats and bananas mostly so lots of moisture. it keeps for ages in the fridge too

Dsis has just given me a home pedicure so now i have purple glittery toenails Grin

libertychick · 23/01/2015 21:55

I love the body shop oat and honey mask too novice. Liz Earle moisturising mask is also nice. I slap on a mask about once a week usually while DD is in the bath.

shop this is the bag QueenC bought from me.

Drywhiteplease · 23/01/2015 23:19

Ooooh QueenC get home in one piece without falling down in my heels or dropping myself in it with work folks to find you've linked David in his pants for me, so nice, you're a true friend xxxxxx
Novice having small boobs is good sometimes, top........
Shoppe and Noveeeeees good luck with parties tomorrow .

Tonight I wore black suede wedge ankle boots, black james jeans, black hermes belt, cream zara victoriana blouse and my prada puffa khaki colour and was too lazy to change handbags so old faithful chloe.
Lovely curry with my work girlies.
Maybe I'll just wait re the boots...
