Still going strong as we head into 2015. Not a chance I can beat the vol 50 intro from the lovely Dry so I won't even try. Lots of newbies have joined the fun, why don't you? Come tell us your sales splurges. All welcome for fun fashion chat.

Welcome back What. Good work on the RL Trench coat! 222 sounds like a good compromise to a dry January.

AmberNectarine · 13/01/2015 21:47

Sorry to hear that shop, take care xx

Aww shucks, QueenC, you were very glam and gorgeous too!

What - I have that last pair of Dune OTKs, I haven't worn them in ages (been wearing my suede ones a lot, also Dune), must dig them out!

maradesbois · 13/01/2015 21:48

Oh Shop that's horrible. Your poor friend. Take care.

Karbea · 13/01/2015 21:49

lib love those bits... How cute is the belt!

OneLittleLady · 13/01/2015 21:53

so sorry to hear that Shop look after yourself

Feeling very nervous, have last weeks cancelled exam tomorrow morning. doing some last minute revision, just hope its all sunk in at some point!

QueenCardigan · 13/01/2015 21:55

Lovely teal colour lib
shop that sounds horrible Flowers

maradesbois · 13/01/2015 21:58

Karbea love the khaki.

Lib just wondering, do you want me to send you back the khaki cashmere I&I sweater you gave me from your last clearout? Guess it was the right colour for you after all! Let me know. Btw love your 'right lipstick' revelation moment.

Blair you don't sound sure about this style day. Personally I don't think its for you and you should just ignore and carry on as you were. You beat me to it but I was going to mention your wedding dress and Zarita which both show that you can do the romantic look when and how you want to (eg evening and occasion dressing) but wouldn't get hung up on it for everyday. I also thought you looked equally good colour-wise in your teal coat and dark navy dress at the mu.

libertychick · 13/01/2015 22:04

Oh no not at all Mara. It looks fantastic on you. I also found it a bit short on the body - funny enough, one of the things that came out of the style day was that my torso is comparatively short and I need to wear tops a bit longer to lengthen it otherwise I can look a bit dumpy.

libertychick · 13/01/2015 22:08

Oh and QueenC forgot to say, the MU dress is definitely not autumn tones. I assume it's winter. I still love it though and will happily keep wearing it (for now) Smile

Karbea · 13/01/2015 22:09

Ok I will definitely order the dress then, I like to order loads from Asos and then send all some of it back. Might have a bit more of a search and see what else I can find.

Drywhiteplease · 13/01/2015 22:43

Shop horrible news. Sending love to you and your friend.

lib love the teal 3/4 sleeve top, can really see you in that my fav colour. Cat belt is cute. Not sure about the skirt, perhaps it's the length, although looks lovely quality.

Drywhiteplease · 13/01/2015 22:43

Actually I think it's the shoes. Would look fab with pointy flats or kitten heels.

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 13/01/2015 22:44

Really great shopping Lib! that skirt looks the perfect warm dark blue to me. I love &Other Stories. And perfect basic teal top and quirky belt, lovely.

Good luck One you will be fine.

Mara yes - I think I will just take a few things from it rather than getting hung up on it, as I had imagined I would have fun doing. It is quite helpful to think in terms of what I shouldn't wear (anything masculine) and to give myself permission to be a bit more glam. :)

Cranagh · 14/01/2015 07:35

That's awful news, Shop.

Good luck today for your exam, One, I'm sure you'll fly it.

WhattoWear, TK Maxx is brilliant, isn't it? I (try to, ha ha) do 222 too!

Karbea glad you're have with your colours.

Fab top and belt, Liberty.

Blair, your wedding dress is beautiful. I always like your pins, I agree, keep in mind the useful info from the style day and carry on as you were.

I could see the colour analysis and am very glad I did it but the style day doesn't appeal for some reason.

Still have my eye on a few things in the sales and from the Outnet but have just bought DH's birthday presents. Also received a lovely little gold necklace as a belated Christmas present from him (all my jewelry was stolen last year) so v happy.

Cranagh · 14/01/2015 07:36

Liberty, I like the skirt but not with those shoes.

LinusDKD · 14/01/2015 08:04

Morning!

So sorry to hear about your bad news shop Flowers

I really like that skirt lib but I would definitely style it differently with shoes that are less clunky.

karbea that khaki dress is lovely, go for it.

blair I can't wait to see you in your wedding dress on your wedding day. It is such a stunner.

one good luck today!

Fedupnagging · 14/01/2015 08:37

Shop so sorry to hear your news, so tragic. Flowers

One good luck today.

Blair your dress is stunning - you will look so beautiful. Have the shoes arrived?

Lib love the teal top, gorgeous colour. Am not sure about the skirt - great colour but think the way it's styled in the model is isn't brilliant.

Fell off the no spend wagon last night. Trousers and cardigan from Boden - wardrobe staples. Will link later.

Karbea · 14/01/2015 09:11

Morning all!

one good luck!!

I went through my jewellery box last night and I have three pairs of dangly earrings and that's it! As a matter of urgency I need to buy something to replace my silver tiffany balls which I wear every day, I looked at the gold version in T and they are £300 which in itself is fine, but my silver ones are my 4th pair as I'm forever losing them, so I think I need a cheaper version :/

I ordered the dress and a blouse and another dress, I'll probably send some/most of it back, but good to try colours.

libertychick · 14/01/2015 11:48

I need earrings too Karbea. I found a lovely pair of gold ones with three small blue stones which I have had for years and never worn and I wore them since Saturday and promptly lost one of them yesterday! I don't want to spend too much either.

Thanks for all the feedback on the Other Stories skirt - the shoe issue had bothered me too. It's mid calf length on me so definitely need a bit of a heel although flat pointed toes would work too. I don't think it's versatile enough really....for my new autumn I have to love it and it isn't love.

Stokey · 14/01/2015 11:52

Sorry to hear about your friend's father Shop Flowers

and Good luck in your exam One

I love that skirt Liberty, although the shoes don't flatter it. A maxi skirt is definitely on my SS wish list.

Hope your dress works too Karbea and well done for buying something!

I'd forgotten how lovely your wedding dress is Blair , it's lush.

It's very interesting to hear your view of the style day - I've spent ages looking at the different "tests" on the internet and feel like I fit into different categories depending on my mood or the occasion. I love changing into something casusal when I get home and am not very groomed but also love dressing up when I can. I don't tend to wear earrings or much jewellery but don't have that athleticism that I associate with naturals. Anyway I guess you've just confirmed my opinion that the style day is not for me.

I'm breaking the HoC rules today with a bright yellow skirt - I just love it and can't bear not to wear it.

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 14/01/2015 12:20

Stokey I love changing into casual stuff/loungewear pyjamas lately when I get home too and always take my jewellery off straight away. The trouble was the consultant seemed to fixate on these little things as indicators of CP (she mentioned natural for me a few times). But to me that's just something everyone does?! She could not get over the fact that I went to her without any makeup on even though I kept explaining about my acne never mind the fact that I had to get there at 8.30am on a Saturday. I'm not a natural, I'm just lazy!

Yellow skirt sounds fab, just what you need on a cold winter's day. Anyone got snow?

Karbea I wear yellow gold ball studs nearly every day, they were a present for my 18th I think. They are surprisingly hard to find online though, if you google it loads of amazon and ebay crap comes up!

Lib if you don't love it then you should return it. Maybe it isn't "soft" enough for you.

WhattoWearNow · 14/01/2015 12:29

Are you wearing the boots today Amber? I often forget what boots I have especially if they are languishing at the bottom of my boot mountain. Need to do a sort out really.
Sorry to hear your jewellery was stolen Cranagh - that must have been heartbreaking. Have you been able to replace any of it or have you decided not to bother? My SIL had hers stolen & didn't bother replacing as she found it all too upsetting. She wears all her jewellery now, so it can't happen again (hopefully). I am really hoping to keep up the 222.
Liberty & Karbea are you both supposed to wear gold rather than silver jewellery now? How do you tell what suits better? I read something about the colour of your wrist veins - green for warm tones so wear gold, & blue for cooler tones so wear silver. I am the latter but like to wear gold Confused
Hope the exam went ok One. Hope today is better Shop.

bettykt · 14/01/2015 12:29

Shop Flowers so sorry to hear about your friend's dad

Blair give it a couple of weeks and if you still can't get your head around being a RC and/or it fitting into your lifestyle, arrange to see the consultant again, FOC of course, for further clarification.

My understanding of the style day, I haven't had one btw, is for people to think, either wow I didn't realise that was me but I can work that into what I wear or yes I thought as much and that explains why I always keep buying x,y or z. For you the style day seems to have done neither of those things and for you to keep questioning it, it doesn't feel like the correct diagnosis was made as it doesn't seem to fit within your CP.

Cranagh · 14/01/2015 12:45

Are you looking for small earrings, Liberty?

I can't replace it as none of it was insured, WhatWear, stupid in retrospect, I know. It was all gold inherited from my mother, some of it pretty valuable apart from sentimental reasons. Four necklaces, three bracelets and a couple of rings. I wear her engagement ring and my only good pair of earrings and my own engagement ring every day so have that at least! Now have the necklace from DH which I will wear daily, would like a nice bracelet too but I'll have to wait for a while I think! I'm not a big jewelry person but would have liked to have kept it for my own DDs.

While we are on the subject of jewelry, my cousin is an amazing jeweler odwyer.se/ - will buy something from him when the ship comes in!

HOC consultant told me that both gold and silver worked on me.

The yellow skirt sounds fab, Stokey.

WhattoWearNow · 14/01/2015 13:09

Cranagh that's awful they took such precious items - what b*astards. Your new necklace sounds lovely though - very thoughtful of your DH.
Will have a look at your cousin's website.
