Still going strong as we head into 2015. Not a chance I can beat the vol 50 intro from the lovely Dry so I won't even try. Lots of newbies have joined the fun, why don't you? Come tell us your sales splurges. All welcome for fun fashion chat.

Ah yes forgot to mention vpl Hmm

AmberNectarine · 12/01/2015 20:16

dry I have recently converted to brightly coloured, matching, nice underwear (you proud novice?). Mostly L'Agent, Stella McC, Elle McP.

One love that bracelet - hope you and sleep had a wonderful day.

Have almost totally lost my voice - the DC have enjoyed it I think!

shopafrolic · 12/01/2015 20:35

Justa we are pants twins. Those are my boy short of choice day to day. Matching sets are usually from Freya.
Dry nothing wrong with a flat cap - eyes up DH's collection of 5!
And yes, I didn't recognise Sienna as Sienna.

Has anyone clicked on the lime chicken salad? Looks delish....think will make it this week

muddlingalongquitenicely · 12/01/2015 20:39

My DH has a flat cap as well and i love it when he wears it with his new wool jacket i persuaded him to get as well

Karbea · 12/01/2015 20:40

I'm back from bikram yoga, loved it! Although I did realise very early on I need a leg wax and pedi urgently!
I've big issues with undies, dh loves undies and so buys lots of lovely stuff Agent Prov, mimi Holliday etc but they never seem to fit right and he never takes them back so I've 2 very large drawers full of ill fitting lingerie. I tend to were knickers that are from primark that look like hanky panky and very grey nude bras that have been washed and washed... This makes dh sad. After tmr I'm going to get some new bits but didn't want to get any if I won't be able to wear them under my new colours.

Drywhiteplease · 12/01/2015 20:41

Btw.....Amber how the heck did you recover from 4am? 1.30 for me and I'm still suffering bloody age Smile ....."matching" "brightly coloured" must try harder

LinusDKD · 12/01/2015 20:43

That chicken salad does look yummy, I might try it.

justa I might try those knickers next time I do an M&S order.

AmberNectarine · 12/01/2015 20:48

I was fine by about 11am dry. I'm doing anti-dry January, which is where you have to drink everyday. I just want to prove to the naysayers it can be done. I'll go back to my usual spartan life of sobriety and abstinence on 1 Feb.

muddlingalongquitenicely · 12/01/2015 20:48

Im going to treat my self to nicer underwear when i get back to the size i want to be. I hate underwear shopping in my bust size its not very pretty

BrandyAlexander · 12/01/2015 20:51

Dry, you know what I am going to say......underwear has to match. It.just.has.to.Grin Also I always match to the clothes I am wearing so no there are no colour clash issues. I usually wear lace, but have a couple of the t-shirt bras for when I need a smooth outline. After last years cull, I think I am down to 20-25. Ahem.

Amber, I am so proud.Grin

QueenCardigan · 12/01/2015 20:52

I always wear a panache tshirt bra in either nude or black. Much as I'd love to wear lacy things I can never find anything that gives me a decent shape ( after 3 dc I have deflated balloons as boobs). I usually get pants from m&s but they piss me off because as soon as I find some I like they seem to change the design. I tried some from sainsburys and JL after advice on here and I didn't like them. I'm a bit fussy with pants. Always nude or black and matching my bra.

lib lovely dress but if it's not right then return. I'm v impressed with your dh saying what he did though. As blair said it's often easier to see if the colour tones in with your swatches rather than trying to find exact matches. It does get easier and after a while you can walk into a shop and immediately spot the right colours.

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 12/01/2015 20:53

Haha Amber Grin

I need to stop being so stingy with underwear, especially as the ones I like from M&S are always out of stock online and in every store I go in. Sort it out M&S! But I need to branch out. And bras from Freya at Bravissimo.

Karbea what time is your HoC session tomorrow? Are you doing it in a group, do you know?

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 12/01/2015 20:54

muddling have you done the bra intervention?

MarshaBrady · 12/01/2015 20:54

I need to upgrade. I have a few really nice things from Rigby & Peller. But I just reach for the plain cotton midi briefs as I know they are easy to wash and I don't care about them so much.

muddlingalongquitenicely · 12/01/2015 20:58

Yes blair i have my size all sorted the mumsnet way Smile shops by me are crap i have to travel to Solihull Birmingham or leicester to have some decent shops

Karbea · 12/01/2015 21:10

When I'm more comfy with me, I'm going to match everyday, I used to.

Karbea · 12/01/2015 21:20

Hoc session is 10:30 with one other person, although she did say that person might cancel but she was going to mail me if they did... So I'm thinking they are still coming.

muddlingalongquitenicely · 12/01/2015 21:28

I had an email saying she was away until the 20th so have to wait for some possible dates. Just want it done before the trip to london

santamarianovella · 12/01/2015 21:30

I like to match as much as possible,

My everyday ones are cosabella, I love their thongs, but they are not very easy to find matching sets, I spent a long time at Printemps lingerie department , trying to match the thongs with bras, and I only managed to buy 2 ,a lace turquoise set,and a white lace one,

Princesses tam tam are nice too,and they do amazing pjs, used to hardly find them in uk, but now liberty and selfridges stock them,

And I've developed a very dangerous obsession with la perla, bought a few sets recently and love, love them.

I even buy matching vest and underwear for dd Blush,

Karbea · 12/01/2015 21:53

I Used to love la perla when I was younger but I'm a 28 back now so very restricted on brands.

maradesbois · 12/01/2015 22:00

Dry . I concede defeat on the flat cap. Dh has one in the back of the wardrobe somewhere but hardly ever worn and never with conviction Grin.

Linus your dh has the young man's version of the slippers!

Lib was going to say ouch at dh's comments but actually how nice to get some constructive criticism and encouragement to spend money on good clothes! The dress looked lovely in the pic but if it's not right take back.

Dry I have quite a few stella sets from outnet mixed with M&S and princesse tam tam for everyday. Match where possible but a smooth line and no vpl take precedent. Have my eye on an apple green mimi Holliday set at the moment. I find colours easier to do in winter as tend to wear lots of white in summer so need to stick to white or nude.

Drywhiteplease · 12/01/2015 22:05

Amber love the anti dry January ....very funny!

Undies.....I just find it such a palaver thinking about undies as well as my outfit so just grab the easiest. I'm trying to wear the nice stuff. It's true that DH is Grin when I wear a matching set and it makes me feel much less meh when I wear something lovely.

BrandyAlexander · 12/01/2015 22:13

Karbea, I feel your la Perla pain.Smile I am a 28E which is the most annoying size. Dh got me underwear for Christmas. Only the second time and as I opened the package he said "Can I say you're the most awkward bra size ever" Then proceeded to describe standing in Selfridges getting redder and redder and feeling hotter and hotter as he searched for something suitable in my size.Grin

Most la Perla bras from there start at 32. I tend to stick to the occasional night wear from there. I have one similar to this one which I just love.

libertychick · 12/01/2015 22:22

I just read back my post and it sounds like DH was v harsh about the dress. He actually said 'not suitable for work' and that's true. It's very fitted. I'll see if it's available a size up but am resigned to returning.

Hats off to the ladies who match their underwear!

novice you might be a hard to find bra size but I am guessing he wouldn't have it any other way Wink
