Still going strong as we head into 2015. Not a chance I can beat the vol 50 intro from the lovely Dry so I won't even try. Lots of newbies have joined the fun, why don't you? Come tell us your sales splurges. All welcome for fun fashion chat.

Early thirties! I knew it I bet the old dudes we'd see were 35 or something.

They'd practically be part of the woodwork.

So glad I'm here on mn chatting to you guys instead. Might put my Hush pjs on Grin

shopafrolic · 10/01/2015 20:46

Oh and that club wear shop in Camden with the space rocket console. Does anyone know where I mean? CyberDog is it? Always a grandad off his face in there at 10am on a Sunday morning Grin

Not so much a running high here yet, I have to stop to catch my breath a bit too often Grin

I really have to get my butt into gear again because I have put on lots of weight after 3 weeks of non stop eating and drinking and no running whatsoever.

Talking about going out (never really went clubbing, more crawling from pub to pub), what was your poison of choice?

Mine was beer (I know!) not out of choice but because I got fed up of ordering a glass of 'dry white' Wink when someone was ordering a round of beers.

By the end of my university days I could drink rivers of the stuff!

shopafrolic · 10/01/2015 20:48

Mine was water Linus Blush

Am laughing. Yeh CyberDog.

Someone still dancing the next morning off their face, no music.

shopafrolic · 10/01/2015 20:48

Vodka if class As weren't available

LinusDKD · 10/01/2015 20:49

Oh I remember Cyberdog! First time I went in there was on a school trip to London when I was 16.

For a preppy wannabe grunge lover from the continent it was quite an eye opener.

shopafrolic · 10/01/2015 20:49

Yes Marsha eyes closed, still moving. Big fish little fish cardboard box repeat.
It cam back to haunt me in my last job in retail. One of the young girls in our Marketing dept was a dancer there - complete with glow in the dark dreadlocks.

I was the water variety too. Or when drinking drinking in a pub say hmm vodka like soda or beer. I'd eat crisps - ready salted to make me thirsty. Can't believe I stayed the size I was.

MarshaBrady · 10/01/2015 20:53

I was a later clubber - 20 / 21 - in the scheme of things. A big eye opener.

If I get a taxi across London at 4am eg to get a flight, it really takes me back. That feeling in the cab.

LinusDKD · 10/01/2015 20:53

Ah see shop, that's where you're a true badass and I am just a wannabe.

Stokey · 10/01/2015 20:55

White glove wave at Shop and Marsha

Also on the water or strange spirit concoctions, I went through a phase of drinking Galliano and lemonade because it was a cool bottle.

Did you ever go to Pollen Shop? Possibly the craziest club I've visited.

santamarianovella · 10/01/2015 20:55

Oh god,my 20s are really dull Compared to all of you!!

shopafrolic · 10/01/2015 21:01

Nothing to be proud of Linus
Don't know Pollen Stokey
Hacienda, Man Alive in Manchester, and Factory, Wobble in Birmingham, Cream in Liverpool, Dreamscape raves, Area in Watford, Fabric and Heaven in London. Plus a whole load I can't even remember the names of...... Oh and then there's Ibiza.

LinusDKD · 10/01/2015 21:02

Nah santa I just drank a lot and showed my bra to my gay friends. Wink

shopafrolic · 10/01/2015 21:04

God, I've had a flashback to snogging one of my female friends to get into a gay club! can you imagine having to do that now!?? Awful.

LinusDKD · 10/01/2015 21:05

Ohohoh! I went to Heaven once!

I was 23 and a student in London and got a makeover before I was allowed to join my friends as my continental preppy Uni outfit didn't meet with their approval.

I ended up looking like a Bjork lookalike Hmm

Karbea · 10/01/2015 21:06

I used to drink vodka and lemonade, not very exciting... Oh and shots. My poor liver.

shopafrolic · 10/01/2015 21:06

MarshaBrady · 10/01/2015 21:12

We used to walk down some Soho St, Berwick possibly and there'd be a notice in a record shop of where to go for the rave.

Oh what fun we would have all had with each of us drinking and/ or what not.

shopafrolic · 10/01/2015 21:15

Yes. What not.

shopafrolic · 10/01/2015 21:18

To change the subject. DH heads off to USA a week today for his annual trip. Keep me company and stop me shopping please ladies?

OP posts:
libertychick · 10/01/2015 21:20

Back at last. Long drawn out bedtime was DD's revenge for abandoning her all day on a Saturday.

QueenC I love that romantic classic board!

Overall I am happy with the outcome of the day. I could see that the autumn colours work and I am excited about autumn accessories. Lovely gold and bronze jewellery and brown leather boots and bags. Romantic classic feels like being given permission to be all grown up and glamorous. I can deal with that! Apparently silk, cashmere and good quality accessories are central to the look Smile

shop I would love to try that red dress. Anything else that might work??? You can have a good rummage through my stuff too Grin
