Still going strong as we head into 2015. Not a chance I can beat the vol 50 intro from the lovely Dry so I won't even try. Lots of newbies have joined the fun, why don't you? Come tell us your sales splurges. All welcome for fun fashion chat.

romantic classic board

LinusDKD · 10/01/2015 18:38

Evening!

Wow! I have a lot of catching up to do!

lib you sound exhausted! Is a Blue Autumn the same as a True Autumn?

I always thought we had similar colouring but I've always thought I'm more of a Winter.

No HoC here but in the next town there is a Colour Me Beautiful. I am tempted to get an analysis myself but then again, I am happy with the colours I wear and think suit me (but maybe I am deluded) so I don't want to be 'proven wrong' be told not to wear black

Will try and catch up soon!

MarshaBrady · 10/01/2015 18:43

Lib that sounds like such a lovely combination. How do you feel?

muddlingalongquitenicely · 10/01/2015 18:44

Just realised one of them is near eldest university Grin definately going to book one for after pay day and before my London trip in april.
Just looked at those colour boards and i have an orange top in the autumn section and realised today in a shop mirror it does nothing for me.

muddlingalongquitenicely · 10/01/2015 18:47

I also found that it was strange that the dior lady advising me on foundation said i think you work relating to science and she is correct.

AmberNectarine · 10/01/2015 19:00

Waiting for a bus in a strapless dress, no tights and a cropped faux fur jacket was, in retrospect, a mistake. Have flagged black cab before I turned blue!

Exciting diagnosis there liberty, can see you in rich autumn colours!

Karbea · 10/01/2015 19:27

It's going to be really hard for me if the hoc lady says no black, a huge amount of my wardrobe is black. I know pastel colour aren't good on me, I've a friend who I thought had similar colouring but she looks great in pastels, I look dreadful whereas strong colours look good on me and dreadful on her.

shopafrolic · 10/01/2015 19:32

Is black out for you now Lib? Questions, questions.

You're hardcore amber.

I'm channeling the Saint laurent catwalk look tonight-black dress, black opaques and glitter shoes. Wasn't sure it worked irl but dh has approved.

shopafrolic · 10/01/2015 19:49

Whenever I read Amber's posts like that my first reaction is bloody hell! Then I cast my mind back 12 years and think "yup, I totally could have done that back then" :)

I know shop!

When I go for a run listening to 'Sabotage' by the Beasty Boys and 'Killing in the Name of' by Rage Against the Machine etc, I always think that people seeing this nearly 40 year-old SAHM running could never guess I used to go out every night, getting drunk and only going home at 7 in the morning (passing the people on their way to work).

muddlingalongquitenicely · 10/01/2015 20:23

You have similar running music to me linus

shopafrolic · 10/01/2015 20:24

Linus I knew you and I could have been soul mates! High five.

OP posts:
shopafrolic · 10/01/2015 20:29

As in, soul mates in our twenties :)

shopafrolic · 10/01/2015 20:31

Imagine if we'd known each other 15-20 years ago and all gone out on a Voguette night out?! Super messy methinks.

OP posts:
Karbea · 10/01/2015 20:31

linus at 41 i feel you pain, when dh goes out and I'm home alone cleaning I crank up all my old clubbing music and dance around with the dog. I miss those nights. Mind you, it's quite nice to be snuggled up on the sofa with my two doggies in a comfy Tracksuit and slippers rather than being outside in the cold right now.

MarshaBrady · 10/01/2015 20:32

Very.

I get that music + running high too now. Close as I'm going to get. I do love the loud music and certain songs give me a bit of a running kick so it's not bad at all.

Back then there'd always be one mid age male raver carrying on no matter what.

LinusDKD · 10/01/2015 20:38

High Five shop! I was probably a goody two shoes compared to you but I was always able to drink the men under the table. a long time ago now

muddling my running music is such a mixed bag. I just love music with a good beat like 'Pass Out' by Tiny Tempah and 'Lose yourself' by Eminem.

Oh and 'Sweat' by Snoop Dogg and David Guetta Blush

In general my music tastes are quite varied. I like classical music, rap, R&B, Heavy Metal (Rammstein anyone?), Ska, Reggae, Hip Hop, Grunge, Blues, Pop

The only genre I'm not too fond of is Jazz.

shopafrolic · 10/01/2015 20:39

Yes. Always the old dude. We used to go clubbing in the Hacienda. There was this v cool older couple who ran a record shop in Manc. We used to call them Grandma and Grandpa. They were int their early thirties Blush
I clearly need to take up running and chase the high
