Hope you all had a great Christmas! We spent Christmas Eve at my DP's as usual and Christmas day at DPIL's.

Ate waaaay too much but was ok with the booze

Poor DD has had a temperature since Monday and does't seem to be getting better so we are taking her to a dr this afternoon. I suspect tonsillitis but we'll have to wait and see.

I haven't done any sales shopping yet. I have my eye on some things but they are either not discounted or only at 30% so I am waiting a bit longer.

Happy Boxing Day everyone. Sympathies to those who's dc's and dh's are unwell and hope they recover ASAP.

We had a lovely quiet day yesterday, just us. In about an hour, there will be about 30 of us! Am all prepared and having a quiet 5mins.

No snow here, thank goodness and none forecast. It is however, really cold and chucking it down. Think our guests will arrive looking like drowned rats!

Wasn't DS Dry it was DH (same as the time he got carted off in an ambulance) Enjoy the snow! Jealous. Chucking it down here too Fedup
I might have bought some boots too. Will need to decide of the bits I've bought which to keep and which to send back as have £200 Christmas money.

I was given vouchers for my fav beautician by DH's. Lovely treat. Do I go for:

Loads of manicures
A massage and facial
Laser teeth whitening? (Has anyone tried it? Don't fancy the bleaching method)

I got the same Dry massage and facial for me as I never treat myself - always do basic maintenance otherwise.
Does anyone know whether 50/50s ever end up on sale? I'm watching MiC and Rosie is wearing some (I think). I might have to start saving....

Anyone else feeling totally fat and bloated?? I've eaten far too much over the last couple of days .

Have had a lovely couple of days and had some lovely pressies-earrings, pjs, onesie (sooo snugly and warm), t shirt as well as other non fashion things. Went skating today (luckily before the rain came down) so popped into a couple of the shops. Gap was all meh for ladies but dd and dh got loads of stuff for £27! I bought a couple of tops in fatface (I know, I know, I said I wasn't going to buy anything) but they're perfect for summer as well as a top for dd. Next kids was also pants but maybe I was there too late as they normally open at the crack of dawn. I lost the will to live after the three shops as it was just hideously heaving. I did get some towels and a duvet cover online from John Lewis yesterday too though.

dry I'd go for manicures or just regular file and paint. I often end up a bit disappointed in massages as they never do it hard enough for my liking. I've never really fancied a facial.

A belated Merry Christmas to you all! Am curled up on sofa with dh, after a hectic week of hosting fatigue is setting in. The dc even went to bed early quite happily. He's opening champagne now and I really don't want it. Not often I say that. Snowing here too, looks beautiful. We still have a houseful but heading away tomorrow for our new year break.

We are going back to Germany tomorrow, so sad to leave, had a lovely christmas here,was a very quiet one, just the 4 of us, the dcs have loved every bit if it, and asked that we spend next christmas in Paris too, no objections from me

And a cashmere blanket from my parents, the dcs got me a mauviel tart tatin dish, which is just fab, as I've wanted one for so long, it's at home in Germany, so I'm really looking forward to open it tomorrow,

I'd get mani or pedi Dry. I get massages from either a Thai massage person or a sports masseuse - like QueenC I find beauticians generally just don't get into the muscles enough.

I've been sort of ill (just run down, tired etc) for a week now...haven't the energy to look at the sales.

Well done on braving the sales QueenC. Fat face is the only sale DH goes for, he wears a lot from there.

So I located some energy and had a look at Cos and have ordered the following:

I am not sure it will stay though but DS already made a snowman with DH and DBIL in DPIL's garden.

Poor DD is still ill and had a very restless night. She's on AB's as the dr diagnosed a tonsillitis so hopefully they kick in quickly.

I might have to rethink my outfit for dinner with friends this evening as my Manolos won't fare well in slushy snow and icy pavements. I really want to wear my Paige pleathers but I think they will look a bit silly with my biker boots so I might have to try something else.

I didn't get anyone in Novice but I bought all the veg from a shop called Cook which does amazing frozen home made type food, and then I cooked a turkey crown instead of the full bird. So much easier. Yup, a lovely day but DH got ill that night. He still felt bad yesterday but must be a bit better today as he has gone shooting
I am starting to feel lousy though, sinus pain and achy. ILs arriving for the weekend shortly - oh dear!
