  1. I'm not that tactless
  2. I lived through punk, indie and New Romantic, lived in a CITY, have lived a bit away from our provincial town!!!
Prepared myself for the arrival of Siouxsie Sioux ......... A very clean young girl arrived wearing smudged black eyeliner, black DMs, ripped black skinnies, lovely blonde hair in a bun.......no ripped fishnets, no chipped black nail varnish, no piercing, no deathly pale foundation, no black lipstick, no jet black dyed hair Xmas Shock I had to stop myself from saying " call yourself a Goth, that's pathetic!"Xmas Grin sheltered children/Jack Wills does goth

AmberNectarine · 20/12/2014 21:40

I was a proper goth, used to wear corsets, maxi skirts, dyed black hair, lace gloves, stripper shoes, dog collar. Was awful, but at least I was committed!

Drywhiteplease · 20/12/2014 21:52

That's what I mean Amber. How was dinner? Or are you posting from the loo? Grin

OP posts:
OneLittleLady · 20/12/2014 22:01

I was too Amber it's only in the last few years that I got rid of all my old 'goth clothes' Xmas Grin I remember buying my first spiked collar, i wore it til it snapped then promptly bought another one as well as a black velvet one with a cross dangling from it

Drywhiteplease · 20/12/2014 22:21

linus where are your leather skinnies from?

OP posts:
shopafrolic · 20/12/2014 22:24

Woop for the Strictly result!
Dry they are Paige faux ones that Linus got I think.....

LinusDKD · 21/12/2014 06:34

Yes dry mine are the Paige Paloma pleather leggings. Are you tempted?

BrandyAlexander · 21/12/2014 07:16

Morning Linus! Did I ever thank you for the fortnum &mason tip? Thanks

LinusDKD · 21/12/2014 07:36

Morning novice! Yes, I think you did.

I love F&M and I have used them a few times to send hampers to friends and family abroad and they've always been well received.

Actually, I have always wanted one myself but no one has ever sent me one Sad

I am currently at my DP's and they are super happy to see the DC's as last time they saw them was in July.

We've not even been here for 24h and they've already consumed their bodyweight in Haribo sweets. Hmm

BrandyAlexander · 21/12/2014 08:07

Oh Lordy! That will be my dcs by the time Christmas holidays are over! All our usual discipline goes out of the window and it's almost a relief to get back to work and school. Almost. How lovely for your parents though.Smile

Drywhiteplease · 21/12/2014 09:08

linus not sure. I love leather leggings, think they look amazing on many, and like them a lot on you. V tempted to try......have made many fashion u turns over the years.

This isn't really a problem but what the heck am I going to do with 11 boxes of chocolates ?(I'll drink the bottles!!)....... Can't exactly take them to a charity shop. Think my local Old People's home will be deluged. Any ideas?

Ooooh those sparkly LKBs are lush. Like Sleep's Rossi ones.

Love all the Christmas jumpers!

MarshaBrady · 21/12/2014 11:11

Gorgeous stuff QueenC, I really love that colourful Valentino bangle.

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 21/12/2014 11:19

Wow QueenC that felt like christmas come early as I logged on with a Brew in hand :) I would wear any of the gorgeous pencil skirts. probably layered with about 5 napkins as I sat down to eat Steering clear of the onesies though Grin

Dry my mum has the same issue, until Friday she was a year 6 teacher, (she's now semi-retiring to 2 mornings a week) but she is always drowning in chocs, candles, wine and flowers this time of year. The food bank is a lovely idea.

OneLittleLady · 21/12/2014 11:39

food bank is a great idea dry it'll be nice for those who are in the unfortunate position to need them to have a few treats. Most supermarkets have a foodbank trolley, normally near the entrance/exit.

Lovely pinboard QueenC I love almost everything on it

MarshaBrady · 21/12/2014 12:20

Also love the sequin Birger skirt and blush fluffy one.
