Sorry, forgot to say Welcome Back to cartoon and loving the shoes shop

maradesbois · 17/11/2014 20:59

Hi Betty. I wear my pistols all the time for day to day stuff but find them just as comfortable as flats and they are very hard wearing.

maradesbois · 17/11/2014 21:00

Pm to the MU list!

Drywhiteplease · 17/11/2014 21:02

Hello everyone! Smile
And hi to Cartoon
Shop I adore the shoes! really love them. V pretty.
Betty I love heels! love love them but during day I have to wear flats I wor with young children, heels could be fatal so. I wear heels on weekends and always on a night out.
Not much to report fashion wise today. Highlight of my day was dealing with yr 1 boys who have learnt to burp on demand Angry Grin "I'm going to get very cross if you make that rude noise again", " but I said excuse me!" Love them

Guilty pleasure No 267, I'm A Celebrity.........I'm off Grin

bettykt · 17/11/2014 21:03

Yes, i can only seem to do Ash Jalouses with the dc, in my mind I want to prance around in skinnies and heels and I like the look but it's not practical for me at the moment. Thanks for the input Flowers

Cartoon I'm starting to go for quality over quantity and am being pickier over mm fabrics too. I'm slowly expanding my white/grey/black wardrobe and have added olive and am about to branch out into plum soon.

cartoontrickster · 17/11/2014 21:15

i would love to be more adventurous too, but worry i can't pull it off. also something's just aren't practical with babies are they! :-)
i would love for someone to take a look through my wardrobe and tell me what i should get rid of, what i need and put together some outfits for me.

Drywhiteplease · 17/11/2014 21:17

Ah yes, Dry's tips for man management , No 28:

DH blocking me in the drive with his fancy car, that I can't remember how to drive. I like cars with a key, proper retro hand break and gears, you know the type.
"DH could you move your car"
"I'm in the shower, can't you do it I've told you how to do it"
Right.........
Get in fancy car, press every button, move seat very close to steering wheel and lie it almost horizontal.
Move mirror.
Can't find sodding hand break.
Leave car in totally messed up state .
He won't block me in again Grin

yes, I'm pathetic

libertychick · 17/11/2014 21:22

Oh Dry did you just press on the wrong buttons or actually crash it????

Cartoon I don't even think all those bloggers on pin wear heels by day. They just do it for the photos then change into converse Grin. Heels for nights out only for me, I occasionally do them at work but wear flats for the commute. I can do boots with a small heel (2 inchs) by day.

OP posts:
libertychick · 17/11/2014 21:22

'inches' even....

Drywhiteplease · 17/11/2014 21:35

Liberty could get it to move! Managed to switch ignition on but couldn't find the hand break...DH eventually moved it.

shopafrolic · 17/11/2014 21:36

Thanks Cartoon welcome back :)
Betty pistols are the only heels for daytime here too. The only time I do heels in the day is if we do some kind of gastro pub type lunch with friends or family on a Sunday. Other than that heels are just an evening thing.
Liberty I'll post you a couple to try x

bettykt · 17/11/2014 21:36

Dry Grin

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 17/11/2014 21:48

Hello all, hello again Cartoon :)

shop I got some shoes resoled last week and they had a light brown leather sole, they now have a lovely black rubber half sole! It was my first time getting it done so I'm not sure whether they come in different colours, but it does look weird Hmm To top it all off I wore them out on Sat night and ended up with a big bruise on the outside of my foot, but don't remember how.

I wear heels every day at work but only in the office, I put trainers on to go out at lunch! I also sing all the way there and back in the car. Unless people are looking!

Dry am dying to know what the fancy car is, lol. My mum had the handbrake issue with a courtesy car from Audi, she had to call someone over to help her before she could drive away.

Hope everyone had a lovely weekend.

santamarianovella · 17/11/2014 21:53

shop thats awful! My crisi are still going on,no issues at all, had them almost a year now, they still look great, just like the ones I see in store brand new,

I wear heels sometimes during the day,

QueenCardigan · 17/11/2014 22:17

Cool shoes shop. I wasn't sure how they would go with jeans but they seem to look great.

Welcome back cartoon.

dry you make me Grin. I'm a celeb was on in the background but I found myself shouting at the towie girl.

betty I rarely do heels. I have some jalouse type boots and sometimes wear them during the day at weekends but only if I'm not going to be chasing kids around outside. I do love wearing heels at night though but we tend to walk to most places which makes it difficult. Hoping to wear heels on Saturday night but I've managed to stub my broken toe so now it hurts again.

QueenCardigan · 17/11/2014 22:21

Oh and the Coast skirt arrived. It had been initially put on the wrong van Confused but they have refunded my delivery charges. It looks absolutely awful on me. I think you need a flat derrière for it which mine most certainly isn't Grin.

libertychick · 17/11/2014 22:47

Drywhiteplease · 18/11/2014 07:10

That's such a shame QueenC

LinusDKD · 18/11/2014 08:15

Shame queenc those skirts can be tricky to wear.

I am wearing my new J Crew Pixie pants and they are lovely but surprisingly difficult to style. Maybe it's because they are navy or because of the zips on the hips?

I decided for a Uniqlo Merino v-neck (with a Heattech camisole underneath) in the end but I'm still not 100% happy.

shopafrolic · 18/11/2014 08:23

Morning all. DS is driving me mad this morning refusing to eat breakfast - I have mother's guilt that he will be going to school on an empty stomach despite my best efforts. :(
Have decided to keep the J Crew shoes and that is now it for me spend wise until the new year. Gutted to be missing the MU now - hope you have a fun night and that the newbies (to MUs) love it. x

libertychick · 18/11/2014 09:06

Bring some toast with you shop. He might snack along the way. When I was at home my DM was bringing my DSis breakfast in bed on schooldays! She isn't good in the morning and gets breakfast in bed as it's the only way DM can make sure she eats before school. Needless to say I didn't get that when I was 16!

OP posts:
shopafrolic · 18/11/2014 09:57

Blimey - that is pampering! I told his teacher not to be surprised if he eats everything on offer at snack time!

shopafrolic · 18/11/2014 10:52

Random question - do you think I could dye my khaki Me&em maxi dress black? or am I asking for trouble?
this one
Am also thinking about dyeing some of my GAP khakis but I've never done it before.......

bettykt · 18/11/2014 10:59

Sad Shop that you won't be at the MU, how come? or can't you say here. Hope to meet you at the next one. I know nothing about dyeing clothes.

QueenC sorry the skirt is not great.

OneLittleLady · 18/11/2014 11:04

Dying them depends what fabric they are Shop natural fibres dye the best, natural fibre mixes tend to go a marl type colour and things like polyester don't dye at all.
