novice I'm well on with Xmas pressies too.....have left dcs to DH which is concerning Hmm
Bought , and ate, mince pies for this weekend. Loveleeeeeee.
I need an in laws present. Impossible people to buy for. My parents always get theatre tokens, easy.

shopafrolic · 16/11/2014 19:38

Phew Dry was worried I'd crossed the line
Love a Laduree me
Horrible bedtime with DS who hates having his hair washed, cue tears. I'm on the wine now.

LinusDKD · 16/11/2014 19:47

Mmmm Ladurée. I want some now!

shop I hear you! DS was an absolute nightmare when he had to have his hair washed. Then, all of a sudden it changed and it wasn't a problem anymore.

Cue DD being old enough to mind her hair being washed (never was a problem when she was a baby) and now suddenly DS starts acting up again as well. Hmm

LinusDKD · 16/11/2014 19:58

I love Zoe Ball! Nearly as much as Claudia.

I just love her style, even though it wouldn't suit me. And I love her hair!

She reminds me a bit of marsha: longlimbed and supercool. Smile

Drywhiteplease · 16/11/2014 20:22

shop I'm v hard to upset Smile
Pistachio for me every time.......always go to Laduree when I'm in London. Love.
linus Zoe has such long legs, wish I could rock skinnies and heels like she does.

One of the Times supplements this weekend said leather is the must have this season......phew. Grin

MarshaBrady · 16/11/2014 20:27

Aw thanks Linus, too kind!

It's weird as I had never noticed she was so tall and was surprised at seeing her standing next to Tess, who for some reason I thought would be taller. Zoe looked amazing in the sequin dress, I didn't see it last night though.

shopafrolic · 16/11/2014 20:34

Did you read the bit in ST Style about tips for men buying presents? Made me LOL. Especially the bit about women obsessing over finding the perfect item of clothing. Waves to journo. And did you see Burberry check is in the Going Up list!

libertychick · 16/11/2014 20:36

Yes, Marsha I am seriously thinking about RL shopping only for clothes, shoes, accessories etc. I couldn't go fully cold turkey as otherwise the household would stop functioning and the local DHL man might lose his job Grin. I'm still mentally debating it though - might be too hard to start on 1st Jan with sales. But more and more I am noticing that the things I am happiest with tend to be items I have bought in an actual real shop.

I noticed that on the going up list Shop and immediately thought of the scarf you sent to Dry.

Drywhiteplease · 16/11/2014 20:43

Just seen that Shop! I'm "on trend" while the trend is "on" for once Grin and I wore it with all black last week, I think STJ saw me Grin.

I am playing with make up! Watching Mary Green well bids as advised by santa. It has made me realise my two eye pencils are completely shit! Recommendations please! I need something that glides on easily.

Santa am with you on the macaroons, can't go wrong with Ladurée. My faves are salted caramel, raspberry and coconut.

Linus thanks for shirt info. Like the print of this one but it is the Dolman sleeve and even on the model looks too boxy.

Dry glad you had a great weekend. Did the dogs stay away?

Drywhiteplease · 16/11/2014 21:39

No dogs Mara thank goodness

maradesbois · 16/11/2014 21:39

Lib there was an article in the ft weekend about the importance of flagship stores for big brands even though they lose money. Seemingly about 85% of luxury goods purchases are still made in store but most are researched online beforehand. My bad experience with MW has taught me to stick to Outnet and other online retailers with top cs and free returns. For clothes I quite like to try on at home but for everything else prefer to see in rl first.

maradesbois · 16/11/2014 21:41

Phew Dry, you have well-mannered friends!

LinusDKD · 16/11/2014 21:43

How about this one mara?

maradesbois · 16/11/2014 22:03

That's really nice Linus plus 20% off at Bloomingdales but once shipping and taxes added its still £100. Can't really justify paying that right now especially for rayon but if I can get a better deal come the sales will definitely try one of these as love the fit of yours.

shopafrolic · 16/11/2014 22:37

Liberty I really rate Chanel waterproof eyeliner pencils. Lovely and soft, blendable but good staying power.

shopafrolic · 16/11/2014 22:38

But the non waterproof ones have no staying power

libertychick · 16/11/2014 23:05

Thanks shop Smile

Morning!

Rubbish weather here, I couldn't even go for my morning run as it's raining so hard.

I am wearing my TS Leigh skinnies in black, white Brooks Brothers shirt and grey J Crew jumper with my bikers. Not completely happy with this outfit but it'll have to do.

AmberNectarine · 17/11/2014 07:59

I like NARS or Bobbi Brown for eyeliners Lib - I'm a right cackhand with a gel liner so always go for pencil.

AmberNectarine · 17/11/2014 08:00

Linus that sounds like a great outfit! I'm still in polar bear PJs

libertychick · 17/11/2014 09:20

Outfit sounds good Linus. I'm wearing blue 7FAM skinnies (getting a bit battered looking) with pink Cos jumper with black suede elbow patches, navy M&S slippers - working from home today. I'm impressed with your running BTW - seems only a short while ago you did no exercise and now you do a daily run - well done!

Thanks Amber don't think I could do gel liner either. The thing with the Mary Greenwell videos on make up is she demos on a very young model with great skin - much harder to do the eyeliner on my wrinkly eyelids Smile
