Did you see Bob Diamonds daughters wedding pictures? Beautiful location.

shopafrolic · 20/10/2014 20:41

Oh no Amber thank God for mums. Thanks for that. I'll take another look. Shopbop pricing confuses me Blush

Drywhiteplease · 20/10/2014 20:48

Hat for me QueenC high! high! high! not wide....flamboyant but not silly. Luffs a hat I do Grin

santamarianovella · 20/10/2014 20:55

I don't do hats, where I come from we don't wear them, pleeeease none for me,

karbea I was about to post a link, I like the details, but it looks so heavy, it reminds me of Lauren santo Domingo dress, both by Olivier Theyskens,

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 20/10/2014 20:55

That wedding looks amazing Karbea though I will be bitchy and say that in some of the pics it doesn't look as though she has enough up top for that dress Blush

QueenC it's civil, in a nice hotel so hat or no hat is fine! My mum is v excited about wearing a hat :)

OneLittleLady · 20/10/2014 20:59

I've never worn a hat to a wedding before, only decorative slides really. Only ever been to one really fancy wedding and since it was dictated to me that I had to wear an evening gown, a hat wouldn't have gone with it also the one time I've tried caviar and found out the hard way that it is absolutely FOUL

libertychick · 20/10/2014 21:00

Oh that Altuzarra for Target is v nice QueenC. Thing is I'm feeling a bit chubby ATM and it looks a little unforgiving. Whatever I get has to be my xmas party outfit so some room for food is needed and possibly sleeves as my batwings are a problem and knees covered or if not covered in a dress that works with black opaques (wow I sound attractive!!)

I enjoyed the Denim bar at Selfridges so much I'm thinking about booking a personal shopper in John Lewis to get an outfit. I have some vouchers to use up too.

And for my wedding outfit I would like a hat. My favourite ever wedding hat was a pale blue top hat with lots of little pale blue pearls on it - LOVED IT Grin.

Karbea · 20/10/2014 21:04

liberty Don't you fancy the personal shopper at selfridges?

Karbea · 20/10/2014 21:07

I'd love to wear more hats, I've only ever worn bobble hats (skiing) or fascinators (Ascot).

shopafrolic · 20/10/2014 21:18

Love a hat me.
How did I not know that MiC is back on our screens? Is that why Marsha is nowhere to be seen?
Had a lovely long chat with the fabulous Dry on the phone tonight, poured myself a wine and had a good old chinwag. Love you Voguettes. :)

libertychick · 20/10/2014 21:18

I would love a personal shopper at Selfridges Karbea but my credit card would not Smile. I have some gift vouchers at JL and I don't go out a lot so I don't plan to spend a huge amount on an outfit so JL will do.

QueenCardigan · 20/10/2014 21:20

Grin at those of you panicking about me putting you in a hat. Obviously when I mentioned hats I was thinking dry. Might have to start with her hat before the dress.

blair I have to agree about up top. And how on earth did she take a wee? My dress was about a tenth of the size but I still needed my bridesmaid to hold up my dress and she's never forgiven me that I had to change a tampon.

libertychick · 20/10/2014 21:25

TMI QueenC, TMI...

shopafrolic · 20/10/2014 21:41

Barf

BrandyAlexander · 20/10/2014 21:43

I had a proper laugh at Dry's speech!Grin The real thing went well. It was a 4 hour event that I was hosting but first 45 minutes was me speaking. When I was writing the bloomin' speech this morning I did think that Blair's suggestion of stunning them with bling was a lot easier!Grin

Lib as you know I am Queen Outsourcer.....I have just counted and we have 9 different people who come to our house (most of them weekly) and do things!Shock

BrandyAlexander · 20/10/2014 21:44

OMG!!!!!!!!Shock I missed QueenC's last sentence!!!!!!

shopafrolic · 20/10/2014 21:45

Still barfing

Mominatrix · 20/10/2014 21:45

The most perfect wedding for me will always be John F Kennedy, Jr's one. I really wanted a copy version of her dress, but my father nixed the idea (said no daughter of his would get married in a nightgown) and I was getting married in a church where one had to cover one's shoulders.

I do love hats - probably because I am so short, and they add a bit of height. However, because I am so short, the hats also probably prevent taller people from seeing me!

liberty JL has some lovely things in their Somerset by Alice Temperly range. What style are you looking for?

Karbea · 20/10/2014 21:47

novice nine that's pretty amazing! what do they do?
When I wasn't economising I had, the cleaner, the ironing man, the window cleaning man, the gardener, the car cleaner - I'm definitely up for more outsourcing! Who am I missing?!?!

Mominatrix · 20/10/2014 21:48

Just read the tampon thing Shock! I'd have been petrified the entire wedding about (whispers) leakage!

Mominatrix · 20/10/2014 21:51

Karbea : the one I'd love to have is hairdresser. Ah, to have someone wash and style my hair daily.

Karbea · 20/10/2014 21:53

mom currently I'd be happy to find a good hairdresser, even if I had to go to them!

bettykt · 20/10/2014 22:00

Glad the speech went well Novice.

QueenC she must be a really good friend Grin

Shop how are you enjoying your new colours? Does it feel liberating and that they are truly you? are you flogging your camo sweatshirt Grin

Liberty a personal shopper sounds like a lovely treat to give yourself, I'm sure they'll find you something great to wear.

BrandyAlexander · 20/10/2014 22:04

Oh god I remember being sooo happy that my period came about 10'days before wedding! QueenC that must have been stressful!

Karbea - housekeeper/nanny, cleaner, gardener, window cleaner, bin cleaning man, dry cleaner, pa, interior designer and decorator!

libertychick · 20/10/2014 22:09

Good call Mom, this is very pretty though not sure the colour would work on me.

I just want a pretty dress Smile and it's been so long since I bought one I don't really know where to start. And on my stress reducing mission I have decided not to buy clothes on the internet for a while as doing all the returns is just another sodding task on a Saturday. I have just now booked the JL personal shopper in Oxford Street for next week - I'll sit and sip cold drinks while someone else runs around and brings stuff to me.

9 regular people to do your stuff is good going Novice. Well done for getting through today. Are you feeling any better?

The other task I'd like to outsource is buying Christmas presents and writing Christmas cards . It's on my mega list of things to do with my 2 weeks off in Nov.
