new shoes. I know they won't be to everyone's taste but I love them.

Hey lib that's my skirt!!

QueenCardigan · 05/11/2014 13:36

Oops sorry lib didn't realise that blair had linked one for you too. It is indeed lovely. blair that navy one for me is lovely too but I really can't justify anything else unless I can persuade dh that I need a new dress/skirt for our anniversary weekend

LinusDKD · 05/11/2014 13:37

£900! Wow, that is a lot.

I am tempted to buy the pleather leggings off you but now that you say it's an XS I am worried.

If they are snug on you they will definitely be snug on me. The leather J Brand leggings I tried were a small but they were real leather and leather allover so no ponte backing.

Ok MNVoguettes (well, the ones who've seen me IRL), time to be brutally honest. Can I fit in a pair of pleather leggings that are very snug on sleep?

Answers on a postcard before Close of Business today. Wink

missed all the birthdays earlier, happy belated birthday to shop and linus!

yes I see what you mean shop - it looks like a slight crackly finish rather than smooth leather? I think you need to go with your gut on this one. If you love them, keep. If you're not sure, return.

queenc those shoes are so perfect for you

QueenCardigan · 05/11/2014 13:52

linus that's a tricky one. I would have thought you are both a similar size but with trousers a lot depends upon your shape too. It depends how much of a faff it is to return to sleep or do you need to keep them?

Sleepwhenidie · 05/11/2014 14:11

I am not skinny of leg Linus Smile I think you would be fine with them. Not a faff to return or send to Linus

libertychick · 05/11/2014 14:17

Maybe measure your waist and hips Linus and ask sleep to compare to hers if you are prepared for that much shared info Smile. I agree with QueenC though, the fit on trousers has so much to do with hip waist ratio and how long in the body you are etc - I have trousers that range in size from 10 to 14.

Lovely shoes QueenC. I had to LOL at you warning me off your skirt!!

Good feedback on the HL leggings Foxy. Did the ones you tried have a little panel in the back? I think the waist on the HL ones Shop has could be easily adjusted as the back has a separate panel insert.

Shop I was wondering could you treat that leather with collonil to protect it?

LinusDKD · 05/11/2014 15:13

I am quite hip-y (a classic pear really) so I just measured my hips and they are 36 inches.

I had to watch a youtube video to see how to do it correctly Blush

Mominatrix · 05/11/2014 15:16

Thank you for the compliment, Amber. However, I must say that most of the time I really don't look or feel glamorous - you ladies have only seen me at my best Blush.

Shop - my leather leggings are similar (lamb leather), and I have never protected them. No gapping at the knee, but they have a moto sort of stitching on the knee which might prevent this from happening. I get them dry cleaned at a specialist leather cleaner (my normal dry cleaners sends them off) once a year. Once a year because I simply use a leather cleaning cloth, and also cost a bloody arm and leg to clean. I would worry slightly about the gap because leather does stretch a bit.

Queen - I'll take the Helmut Lang dress and the Armani Clutch!

Sleep - what a pain, really. Can't believe the price of new locks! Was it a special Banhams lock? The fish is from Atari-Ya, here is the link. Click on the "shops" and see which one is closest to you. They also have great raw fish for sashimi or sushi which the fishmonger will slice for your needs. They supply Nobu, and their fish is excellent.

liberty sorry the dress did not work out, but great find on the shoes. They also look like they are a sensible height (well, at least by my standards) so you can traipse around town in them.

Linus - fantastic present! was is an Alhambra bracelet? Beautiful things, but I am such a klutz with jewellery, that no expensive things for me. You are welcome to live in my wardrobe, but you'd be sorely disappointed - it is quite small. DH, however, takes up much more space than I do and only wears 5% of his clothes. He is a hoarder, and refuses to let go of things he has not worn for 20 years. I have secretly culled some things - like the 3 pairs of leather trousers from his 20s which he probably could not even get 1 leg into, and even if he could, I would never let him wear.

FREEZING here. Thank goodness I am not going out for Bonfire Night tonight. I'll just sit at home all snug and cozy and cuddle my puppy, who is petrified of fireworks.

BrandyAlexander · 05/11/2014 15:18

Hello! Quick drop in from back of a taxi to say it's love. Wearing the dress under my other new love the coat with green Prada handbag and Valentino boots.got gucci watch, raindance ring and Tiffany diamond studded bangle. Presenting to 200 people shortly. if I can stop stroking the coat

Glad you had a lovely day LinusSmile

libertychick · 05/11/2014 15:29

Wow novice that's quite an outfit!

libertychick · 05/11/2014 15:32

Mom yes the shoes are a good height! I am very clumsy so tend to avoid heels, these ones are high enough to feel glam, not so high that I'm scared. Also they seem to distribute the weight properly, I wore them for over an hour while trying on various dress yesterday and they felt good.

Drywhiteplease · 05/11/2014 16:21

3 days to fit wardrobes Shock!!!!

Stokey · 05/11/2014 16:34

Ooh nice board QueenC . I'm coveting the DVF silk wrap or Amber's green Balmain, probably with the sparkly clutch.

I spent far too long looking at cheap faux fur today and felt a bit over it by the end of my shop - I suspect a lot of it will still be there in the winter sales. But as I was leaving saw a navy one in Urban Outfitters which was cool. And a totally not my colour yellow gilet in Top Shop.

Love that Roland Mouret dress Novice

libertychick · 05/11/2014 16:55

Great wedding board QueenC. I love the Fendi 2 tone clutch, the Lela Rose floral dress and the pink Oscar de la Renta - gorgeous.

shopafrolic · 05/11/2014 16:55

Tried the leathers on again. Weirdly, now I've eaten they don't gap at the back. They aren't skin tight, but they aren't baggy, and they are smooth across my backside. I took them to my local Dry Cleaners and he said he would charge £35 to clean......
I still love them. Liberty kindly said I have a while to think about it so over the next few days I'm going to try them in various outfit combos.
I will need to EBay like crazy to pay for them, or ask DH for them as my Christmas present. They are absolutely beautiful. And I simply cannot afford a £400+ pair........
Novice fab outfit - hope the presentation goes well
Dry that is some wardrobe! Did you get my text? x

libertychick · 05/11/2014 16:55

3 days Dry - eek. Where are your clothes in the meantime?

Drywhiteplease · 05/11/2014 17:27

Yes Shop and I replied . Think I might live in my wardrobes Grin that would be heaven! Leather trousers are an investment I think ESP for someone like you who will really suit that look.
Liberty they're in my old cupboard, they're fine.

shopafrolic · 05/11/2014 17:29

And £200 is about the max investment I can make Dry - but I'm trying to think rationally so will keep trying them for the next few days to check it's still love. My Dry Cleaner said "can't wait to see you in them Shop" Hmm

Drywhiteplease · 05/11/2014 17:34

Queen I LOVE my wedding outfit. Goat dress is perfect, I've lusted over that bag for ages and the hat, THE HAT....is fabulous, I would TOTALLY wear that being such a wallflower and all I adore anything peacock. Now I just need some shoes.
I love your Mui MUi patent blue Mary Janes and could really see you in that gorgeous Escada dress.

MarshaBrady · 05/11/2014 17:53

I love the clutch and Rossi shoes QueenC love them!

Shop sleep on it, and post how you feel tomorrow.

MarshaBrady · 05/11/2014 17:55

Stokey I really like the Cheap Monday one. The Topshop colour looks harder to wear, or maybe that's just my colouring I'm sure.

Novice amazing dress.

Stokey · 05/11/2014 18:13

Yeah some of the coloured ones veer towards muppety. I tried on one that was very Elmo-esque

shopafrolic · 05/11/2014 19:19

Off to Pilates - who's setting up vol 48? :)
