Happy birthday Shop have a wonderful day! Cake Wine

Oh no Santa poor dd.

Fedupnagging · 04/11/2014 07:54

Happy Birthday Shop - enjoy your day. You share your birthday with my dh.

Santa hope minisanta'is ok today - what a shock for both of you.

Frosty here today too. Am wearing black knee length skirt (next), grey vest with lace at the top (M&S) and a grey animal print cardigan half buttoned (tkmaxx) and black dune knee length boots. Always compliments at work when I wear this.

shopafrolic · 04/11/2014 08:03

Thanks for all the birthday wishes!
Santa your poor little girl - and what a terrible shock for you. I hope she is brighter today - hugs for you my friend
Fedup Happy Birthday to your DH - it's such a lovely time of year to have a birthday. Cold and bright here today.
DH had already bought me my Gazelles, but he also got me the Cos cashmere hat and scarf in the plum colour. The scarf is fabulous - much better than the Uniqlo one - good size and beautifully soft. The hat....... I need lessons in how best to wear it without looking like a dick (literally a dick).

bettykt · 04/11/2014 08:21

Santa your poor dc how is her finger today? Getting better I hope.

Shop happy birthday, hope you have a wonderful day, great pressies btw. Just a quick question, how are you getting on with your Mahabis slippers? I quite fancy a pair.

OneLittleLady · 04/11/2014 08:35

How is DD santa?

libertychick · 04/11/2014 09:02

Happy Birthday Shop. Wine Wine Wine
Well done to your DH on the lovely Cos cashmere. I did laugh at the idea of you looking like a dick! I am sure you don't Smile

Santa your poor DD. Hope you are both feeling better today.

Today I am wearing black Acne pencil skirt, pink Cos crew neck sweater with black suede elbow patches, black opaques, petty ankle boots, black military style coat and Edinburgh Woollen Mill tartan scarf.

Your outfit sounds great Topaz. It's nice wearing something you know looks good.

BrandyAlexander · 04/11/2014 09:08

Shop just realised you didn't respond to my WhatsApp message at the weekend? I am way behind the action - are you sorted?

happy birthday to Mr fedup too.Smile

Lib and Topaz like your outfits.

stood on a train platform, it's chilly and I am all wrapped in my coatGrin

I am stood on a c

BrandyAlexander · 04/11/2014 09:08

Oh that was weird!

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 04/11/2014 09:28

Flowers Happy birthday Shop! Cake Hope you have a fab day :) I love the sound of matching hat and scarf, I have the bright red Cos ones on my wishlist!

Lovely weather here today, sunny but chilly, have a great day everyone.

OneLittleLady · 04/11/2014 09:34

brrr, it's very chilly here this morning. The heating was on when i woke up and it is only set to come on when the temperature dips below a certain point so i reckon it must be cold!

Scarf and hat sound lovely Shop

I'm not looking forward to this weeks extra lessons! Going to leave me exhausted but they must be done!

Stokey · 04/11/2014 10:47

Happy birthday Shop Cake plum Cos set is lovely

Hope poor DD is ok Santa sounds very scary

I'm embracing a pencil skirt today too Liberty, J-Crew green patterned one, but am dressing it down with black high tops, leather jacket and blue bobble hat, pretty chilly here.

I'm going to get my hair done in town and will check out TK Maxx on Charing Cross Road but have never seem much in there. A friend took some photos of the DC last weekend and I realised that in my head my hair looks like this, but in reality it looks more like this. I think it's the encroaching grey, it makes your hair so wiry.

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 04/11/2014 10:47

Question for the day... What's your personal style uniform?

Mine would have to be a pencil skirt and jumper (for A/W) with heels. This has actually been a bit of a lightbulb moment for me!

Mominatrix · 04/11/2014 11:05

Morning!

Happy birthday shop - think I said it before, but now it is official.

Hope you dd is better santa. I think the gore is what is most shocking. Hope she (and you) recover quickly.

Well done on the writing, Blair. Have you ever written anything in the past? In terms of casual pencil skirts, J Crew often style their pencil skirts with vans/converse and tees and make it all look fantastic.

liberty - did not get a chance to get to TK Maxx this weekend - it is on my things to do this week. With my luck, everything good would have already been snatched! Love your outfit today, and have fun shopping.

My personal style uniform: PM: tailored grey dress, black opaques, heels, hermes bag, hermes scarf/shawl. AM and what I often can be found in the PMs wearing: running capris, jogging bra, sports top, running shell top, giant gym bag (but it is Hermes Grin!).

Who do I wish I dressed like? Easy one - Jenna Lyons (who, coincidently, is pictured just below the article blair linked).

Freezing here. Am dressed to go for a dog walk then run (so I am pretty much dressed as I said I do above), and have caved in and brought out the Canada Goose Parka. Brrrrrrr!

OneLittleLady · 04/11/2014 11:31

blair I'm not sure I have a style uniform as such as what i wear changes so often. I think quirky is the best way to describe me

AmberNectarine · 04/11/2014 12:12

The helmut lang/TK Maxx joy continues - I have, this morning, bagged a pair of plum lizard skin embossed leather front, stretchy back leggings for the very reasonable price of £99!

Sleepwhenidie · 04/11/2014 12:34

Happy birthday Shop ThanksCakeWine! What a beautiful day for it!

My parka came out for the first time today, cosy over cable knit cashmere jumper and Preen trousers.

Amber which TKMaxx? Am pondering a visit to Brent Cross one...still not got my parcel from next door Hmm

maradesbois · 04/11/2014 13:16

Hello all,

Happy Birthday Shop Cake Wine. Your dickhat comment nearly made me spit out my coffee Grin.

Santa poor little dd. hope she's feeling a bit better now. x

Good find Amber.

Momin am intrigued as to how much Hermès you have in your wardrobe (nosey!). Would love another cashmere/silk shawl scarf as the one I have gets worn every day atm.

Fedup your outfit sounds lovely.

Novice glad the gorgeous coat is out and about! There is a plague of ladybirds atm, my friend was just saying last week that she found about 50 in her bedroom when all the windows were closed. They bite too, who knew.

Good question Blair but I honestly have no idea. Don't think I have a look as such but close friends and dsises have previously commented that things that are 'so me' are stripes, particularly a marinière, skinnies & blazer and short dresses, often knit or Marni pattern with collar for a/w. The only pattern I can do is '70s aesthetic like Marni and Dvf. Can't do florals or embellishment just doesn't suit.

Good news on my MW return, got an email confirming receipt and that refund was being arranged so don't think they'll be going under this week. Maybe just trying to liquidate stock.

sleep you're killing me here! Break in! Grin

Good find amber! Picci please?

Can anyone identify the flats Sofia Coppola is wearing in this picture from Blair's link?

The other pictures show a strap but I think these are without a strap.
