Gorgeous weather here too! Actually my favourite weather: cold but sunny.

Wearing TS Leigh skinnies, navy Equipment shirt, red Henriettas, my trusty P&J Sister coatigan and my Etro scarf (aka The Scarf That Ties Itself And Always Looks Good)

shopafrolic · 31/10/2014 09:22

Love that scarf Linus - I had a dream about you last night!

QueenCardigan · 31/10/2014 10:01

Lovely here too. Just been for a cycle on the trans penine path as sadly there'll be no running for me until my toe heals.

Happy Halloween ladies.

shopafrolic · 31/10/2014 12:50

Happy Halloween Queen
Dry scarves (I shoved another one in too) are on their way to you - 2nd class post

LinusDKD · 31/10/2014 12:54

Oooh shop what did I do in your dream? Wink

Waiting for my train home. DMIL's Xmas prezzie ordered, tee for the DC bought and loads of leather skinnies/leggings tried on.

None of them were perfect but I did like some J Brand leather skinnies (but wrong colour) and Balenciaga leather leggings (but out of my size)

When I tried those Balenciaga I had to think of you momin!

I also tried on a lovely By Malene Birger stretch pencil skirt but I resisted as I was on a leather skinnies mission Grin

Tried on some shoes as well but none were what I was looking for. I do now know I am a 37 in Lanvin.

Oh and santa that VB skirt I linked for you is gorgeous IRL but very very short.

maradesbois · 31/10/2014 13:24

Amber ah, you've evoked feelings of nostalgia! It was my fave thing ever when I was little. Fish and chips by the lighthouse in Lytham before it went dark and then a slow drive through the illuminations but never never to the fair as my dm said there would be 'bad men'!! Halloween Hmm

Two quick questions to all of you, 1) is it mad to get flats now?
2) if you had a pair of boots/ shoes you really love, would you consider getting them again in another colour?

LinusDKD · 31/10/2014 13:55

Are you lusting after these santa? Wink

I saw them and immediately thought of you.

I am actually on the hunt for flats so that answers your first question. The winter sales are too far away for me but if I'm really honest, I could probably wait until then as I still have plenty of shoes.

LinusDKD · 31/10/2014 13:56

Oh and yes, if I really like boots/shoes I would get them in several colours. My Jalouses are a good example as I have them in black and navy.

santamarianovella · 31/10/2014 14:14

You are close linus, Wink,
Will update in a bit.

santamarianovella · 31/10/2014 14:49

got these, the lovely people at LVR, sent me a code, and since I've been wearing my burgundy ones for the last couple of days, and seeing how comfortable and stylish they look, and since the chess boots were not included in the promotion, and me realising that they don't look smart I've decided to get them again in black,
Still dithering about the flats,, but the code can be used more than once,so will think about them for a couple of days

topaz I love that top, I'm thinking about getting a similar one in grey,

LinusDKD · 31/10/2014 15:17

Oh so close santa! Grin

Gorgeous boots and very You.

Question: who has Lanvin ballet flats and what is the quality like?

santamarianovella · 31/10/2014 15:37

I have a pair linus, they are good, not as sturdy as tods for example, but they are very comfortable, don't get them in light colours though,

libertychick · 31/10/2014 16:15

I have just bought leather Helmut Lang leggings in TK Maxx! They cost a scary £200 reduced from a totally eye watering £785 how, just how is that possible?

So I am not sure, they may have to go back. Several questions for those of you who wear them...

  1. how often do you get them cleaned?
  2. be honest, do they ever smell? [Grin]
  3. what shoes do you wear with them? I never wear heels BTW. Would they be OK with grey leather converse or black Petty boots? If they require new footwear they will have to go back!
  4. how easy is it to adjust the length? Or should I just do the bunched around the ankles look??

Finally, shop if I decide against them should I pop them in the post for you to try before returning? US size 8.

libertychick · 31/10/2014 16:22

Lovely boots santa. I buy same style in shoes and boots in different colours. If you find a style that works on you, why not?

shopafrolic · 31/10/2014 16:51

Wow Lib! That's an amazing bargain! PM me if they're not for you. I assume I could return them to another store? Or would they need the card you paid on - great find.
So Linus you were just being the most glamorous wonder mum ever. We were in your living area at a huge table where your beautiful children were playing with puppet theatres that you had made for them. I met your husband (he had a beard Hmm) - he was lovely. You looked amazing and were cooking a beautiful dinner. It was all very fabulous. Grin

shopafrolic · 31/10/2014 16:52

I was supposed to be going out for a birthday date night tonight with DH and MIL was going to babysit. They are running late. I knew this would be the case, which probably explains why I never got round to booking a restaurant. Waste of F-ing time! I might have to start drinking early.

libertychick · 31/10/2014 17:00

shop your dream post confused the hell out of me for a minute!! Will have a try on session later and pm you if they are not keepers.

libertychick · 31/10/2014 17:00

Oh and how annoying re your dinner plans.

shopafrolic · 31/10/2014 17:15

LOL Lib
Just tried the Paige skinnies from Tessuti - good fit - a bit snug but I'm assuming they'll give a bit and they do up fine. Bargain!

OneLittleLady · 31/10/2014 17:39

Evening all

Fab bargain lib

How annoying and upsetting re your dinner plans Shop I hope you're alright and can make some kind of alternative arrangement. Also your dream description made me LOL

novice hope you are well and will get a bit of time this weekend to relax

santa I see no problem with buying multiples of shoes/boots in different colours if they work for me

Bought some christmas presents today, nearly finished all my shopping actually. Managed to find DP a really fab leather laptop case and bought a kindle for Ds.

Dp surprised me with some beautiful yellow roses this afternoon

I'm actually going OUT tomorrow, yes, OUT, with friends, to a pub! I haven't been out with friends of any description in almost a year now so it's big news, have to find something to wear and try and contain the wilderness that is my hair currently!

Also, my pro tools courseware book came this afternoon so I really must try and do some reading this weekend!

Hello to anyone I missed!

LinusDKD · 31/10/2014 18:45

What a bargain lib very Envy

shop what a funny dream and so not true to life. I hope I was a good hostess! Grin

LinusDKD · 31/10/2014 18:46

these were the Balenciaga leather skinnies I tried on today.

They were lovely but way too long and even though the SA told me they could be shortened, I have no clue how they would do that with the trousers having ankle zips.

LinusDKD · 31/10/2014 18:51

these were nice but not perfect. I was happy I could fit into a size small though. Grin

LinusDKD · 31/10/2014 18:53

these were actually perfect on me (capri means that it's ankle lenght for my height) but the colour was not what
I was looking for.

I they were black I would seriously consider buying them.
