hello!

Yes I agree on Hamleys. It was heaving and very hot. Also we somehow ended up in Harrods toy department the next day and it was exactly the same stuff, I think my parents were looking for posh toys. I wonder if Harrods just has a concession of Hamleys in there?

Same toys, same demonstrations etc

Last day tomorrow. And I need to stay in tonight big time. Enough eating out to last me for a while.

OneLittleLady · 30/10/2014 16:29

Shop I'm very jealous of your lovely weather, it's been grey and dull here all day

thanks all, I'm very touched to have been nominated. It's nice to have just been, well, thought of! Thank you mystery person Thanks

Sleepwhenidie · 30/10/2014 16:54

Hi, thanks for get well wishes for the dc's, seems to have worked Smile. We spent today at Kew Gardens, beautiful day, lovely to be outside in fresh air, even ate lunch outside Shock, amazing for end of October! I think we are going to pop to Kings X for DC's to see 3,000 pumpkin lanterns at Granary Square then out for dinner with IL's who are visiting.

Think I missed delivery of pleather leggings today...

libertychick · 30/10/2014 17:10

Glad everyone is feeling better Sleep. Weather is amazing and tomorrow looks great too.

MarshaBrady · 30/10/2014 17:27

The weather is so bizarre, I feel a bit like time has slowed down. Although I don't mind and it is lovely indeed.

MarshaBrady · 30/10/2014 17:33

Ok going to attempt a catch up, but will be patchy

Mara that is so annoying. That amount of money and their glitch. Argh

Stokey I hope your last day of work was ok! And love that skirt.

Big wave to Foxy did you get the leggings? They'd look fab on you.

Santa great Marant skirt, do you think you will get it?

Momin those VB shoes are incredible, love them.

Linus cute V Bruno skirt.

Betty love the coat and great discount.

Shop Brighton looks nice.

Ok posting now, might be back with more.

MarshaBrady · 30/10/2014 19:05

Does this actually mean these jeans are £595 surely a mistake!

santamarianovella · 30/10/2014 19:12

Not when they are social ones marsha, Grin

I saw a Chanel pair from the Dallas métiers d'art , very plain ones for € 800 !

sleep glad everyone is doing ok now,

MarshaBrady · 30/10/2014 19:19

Ha I know

Then there's this and this one

Drywhiteplease · 30/10/2014 19:27

MN Secret Santa is a lovely idea........so happy for you One

LinusDKD · 30/10/2014 19:33

Oh those frayed dresses would drive me mad! I would be twitching to get the scissors out and chop them all off.

I'm not good with fringeing either. DM once bought me a cardigan with fringeing on the arms and I took them all off.

Such good news one, you deserve it.

marsha glad to hear the visit is going better again.

queenc ouch! But good that your toe is better today.

stokey lovely skirt!

shop hope your day in Brighton was lovely. Very Envy

santamarianovella · 30/10/2014 19:46

What happened to matches? Why are they stocking ugly clothes?

Drywhiteplease · 30/10/2014 20:38

I reckon I could run up a few frayed garments on my machine for a fraction of the price, PM me if you're interested Grin no whiskey consumed this eve Wink

BrandyAlexander · 30/10/2014 21:05

Just popping in to say hello to everyone. Smile

shopafrolic · 30/10/2014 21:25

Evening all. Special wave for lovely novice - how are you doing?
Fab day in Brighton. The weather was amazing. Loads of seafood, a very happy DS playing with stones on the beach - good times.
I wore Pistols, black TS skinnies! Ines for Uniqlo denim shirt and bright red lipstick (loving it).
I keep seeing lovely things in Russell and Bromley at the moment. Some great pointed flats and lovely ankle boots.
Sleep glad everyone is on the mend. I love Kew - one of my favourite places when I lived in W Ealing.
My ILs arrive tomorrow Hmm

libertychick · 30/10/2014 21:42

Great outfit shop, sounds like a lovely day. Which TS skinnies do you have? DH said my trusty black Levi straight legs look a bit frumpy is there a bastard emoticon?? Grin and while I told him to sod off it's now bugging me so I want black skinnies. Good luck with the ILs.

Are you back in the UK Novice? If so, log off and get some sleep Smile.

shopafrolic · 30/10/2014 21:51

Mine are the Leighs Lib but I haven't been impressed TBH. They have faded quickly, and are tight on the knees but saggy at my bum and waist. I know others on here rate them though so perhaps I was unlucky? I'm hoping I'll be luckier with the Paige. I am super fussy.....

Drywhiteplease · 30/10/2014 22:26

Good luck with your visitors Shop

BrandyAlexander · 30/10/2014 22:34

No not in the UK. Back tomorrow. Absolutely exhausted.

Lovely news One and glad to hear the mini Sleeps are better.Smile

This is how busy my week has been....I didn't do any shopping.Shock

maradesbois · 30/10/2014 22:45

Hello,

Been trying to catch up but this half term has been a whirlwind of activity. 'What are we doing today mummy?' Feel like an event planner! I thought Hamleys was a bit crap tbh and shabby-looking. The toilets were pretty squalid. Ds thought it was amazing though so wondered if it was just one of those things that was never good to start with but feels so when you're little like the Blackpool illuminations?

Santa we have stuff from le nain bleu in Paris, they closed the store but still operating. A friend got a handmade bespoke teddy bear for ds when he was born, lovely thing to do but he picked scary eyes!

Dry your holiday sounds amazing. The perfect thing to do this time of year.

Betty very nice classic coat.

One how nice to be nominated. Your mu outfit styled by liberty sounds ace.

Momin love those heels.

Shop wow at your beach pic, so envious.

Haven't had time to have a proper try on of either marant top from last week or burgundy colts, need to sort it all out tmw and get my money back for the duplicate pair. There's no way I'm paying the DHL charges for the return..can feel a battle with MW coming on.

Topazandpearl · 31/10/2014 07:32

Hello everyone. I am back from a lovely few days away and am trying to summon up the energy for all the laundry, shopping and housework that needs doing today.

Had a MNV moment on the plane. I was sitting next to a mum and her DS and mother were across the aisle. There was another woman inside them on the window seat. I chatted a little bit with the woman next to me and offered for DH and I to swap with her DS and mum so they could sit together. Through chatting with the other woman as well, we discovered that all three of us worked in schools (hence going away at half-term) but didn't notice till the end of the flight that we were all wearing Breton tops! We decided it must be a uniform..... It did make me think, though, about getting the balance right between looking current and not being the same as everyone else.

It didn't put me off my top this one which is a little bit different (maybe that is the answer?)

I hope all the ill and injured Voguettes and DC are recovering Thanks

All the Hamleys talk reminds me that, as we don't live near London, my DC's idea of heaven on earth used to be Toys R Us (DH and I hated it!) We took them to London when they were 10 and 8 and all they could talk about was their visit to Hamleys!

AmberNectarine · 31/10/2014 08:05

Funny you should mention the illuminations mara, we are currently in Blackpool having a fantastic time! It is tack central, but living in London it makes a lovely change. The children are beside themselves with joy!

LinusDKD · 31/10/2014 08:33

Oh amber I just saw your hair on your blog, it looks fab. A bit like a modern Louise Brooks cut.

Off into town in a minute to look for a Christmas present for DMIL and maybe some leather/pleather leggings for me.

Fedupnagging · 31/10/2014 08:37

Mom fierce shoes you linked on weds, not surprised your feet complained!

Shop and Amber sounds like you both are having family fun. I have fond memories of Blackpool and the illuminations as lived near there when I was a young girl. We took the dc's years ago - they loved it but it wasn't as fabulous as I remembered!

Mara, you sound exhausted.

Glad you had a good break Topaz. I am rather partial to a Breton but have banned myself from buying any more. Am down to 4 now!

One am so pleased you have been nominated for the secret Santa. You deserve it.

Met up with a couple of friends in London yesterday and after seeing the poppies at the tower (amazing) did a spot of shopping. Will link later.

The weather was gorgeous so I wore jbrands, navy l/s fenn wright Manson blouse and my giant tartan blanket scarf. No jacket needed. We managed to sit outside for lunch and then drinks in the evening it was so warm.

libertychick · 31/10/2014 08:40

Such a lovely morning. I have left the house without a coat and I am wearing nude tights.
Have fun shopping Linus.
