Ouch queenC broken toes suck. Take it easy and rest it i'm sure you know this

I'm not overly stressing, I just get myself wound up and then into a negative spiral of not feeling good enough. I thought that maybe this time, admitting to it might stop it from spiraling, IYSWIM?

Fedupnagging · 29/10/2014 21:27

Ouch, Queen hope the painkillers and Sauvignon blanc help with the pain.

Santa shame that IM skirt is too short - I really like it.

Sounds like you had a good day Shop. I guess it will take a while to build your wardrobe back up in winter colours.

Marsha glad your meal went well last night.

Linus and Sleep hope your ds's get better soon.

The Halloween outfit sounds great One. You are very creative.

Took ds3 shopping today and as usual he chose some great clothes - nothing for me though. In fact the only style news I have is that I have just painted my nails this colour.

libertychick · 29/10/2014 22:30

one describing yourself as a Yorkshire weeble made me laugh! You are so not like that. I cant wait to see you! It will be fun. Just chuck on a dress and some lippy and remind yourself you are meeting friends not the style police Smile

OneLittleLady · 29/10/2014 22:34

I generally aim for humour when I'm not weeping lib Wink

ooh, I have lipstick choices actually, I bought myself a nice little Estee Lauder gift set of lipsticks the other week, there's a very bright pink, a nice red and a couple of more neutral ones. They are lovely on, a really nice consistency and good pigmentation. not that I didn't already have loads of lipsticks

Dp is back for a week long visit tomorrow so I may not be around quite so much for a bit. I will keep lurking if not posting though so I can keep up

libertychick · 29/10/2014 22:34

Oh sounds sore QueenC.
Great skirt santa what a shame it's too short.

I found a lovely pale grey cashmere Theory sweater in TKMaxx today. V neck with a rib knit front, relaxed fit. V happy with it.

libertychick · 29/10/2014 22:37

There you go one. Blue MK dress, new pink lipstick and the pink mini Gracie. You'll look amazing!

OneLittleLady · 29/10/2014 22:39

liberty you read my mind woo 'cause that's pretty much the outfit I had in mind! I just need some shoes really, the only decent black ones I've got are too high for me to walk in now

libertychick · 29/10/2014 22:44

Some sparkly flats would be lovely. Maybe a gold sparkle to pick up the gold hardware on the Gracie or navy would look good too. Going to bed now but I'll keep an eye out for something for you.

Drywhiteplease · 29/10/2014 22:47

Shop I love you! thanks xxxxxx
Mara Hamleys with dcs is torture, but heaven for them.
I have never enjoyed a bottle of champagne as much as today...big, high hike, COS cashmere hat served me well despite derisive comments from my teenagers " Mum, you wearing a beanie? You trying to look like a bad man, skater mum?" honestly they do NOT appreciate what a fashion forward mother they have, how rude! Grin

Mominatrix · 29/10/2014 22:48

Evening all. Ooh - some wired dictation thing showed up on my iPad when I went to type! Very excited as I am a rubbish typist, but can't try it out just yet as I am next to a sleing ds.

foxy, I have a pair of leather leggings which I rushed out and purchased 5 years ago. I had just regained my pre preg figure after DS2, and they were just in style. I never thought they would still be hot 5 years later! I have really gotten my money's worth. I purchased mine from Joseph, and I wear them with converse as often as I do with heels.

santa, that vert short mini skirt style was in all the boutiques in Paris. I bought a couple that short from Vanessa Bruno - however, as I am so short, they don't look as pornographic on me. I do however think i might be in the last years of wearing such short skirts - mutton and lamb spring to mind.

queen, ouch! Guess the running will have to be halted for a bit? What about cross trainers in the meantime? Or swimming?

shop, you were in my neck of the woods! I need to get myself to Westfield to see the IdlF unipolar things in person. I really liked the Jill Sander collection they did, and hope this one is just as good.

marsha, glad the evening went well. How much longer are they here for?

one, don't fret. You'll look lovely. Also, I often find that it is not necessarily what one wears, but how one wears it (ie, werk it ).

Everyone with poorly children, I hope all are on the mend. I have a dog with a cold - who knew dogs got colds?!? She is fine, just a bit mopey.

Wore these heels today with a sleeveless Charcoal Maje dress from 2 years ago. My feet were in shock after the weeks of traipsing around in brogues or trainers. Must practice again!

OneLittleLady · 29/10/2014 22:49

dry how rude of them! Do they not know you are at the forefront of style?! Well done on the big hike though, the champagne will have been well deserved!

thanks liberty Smile

Mominatrix · 29/10/2014 22:49

Just reread my post - see I need that dictation thingy - I can't type!

OneLittleLady · 29/10/2014 23:11

You're right mom I just need to learn to 'work it' other people manage it, why can't i?! Grin

shopafrolic · 30/10/2014 08:44

Mom Most of the IdlF collection had sold but they still had the polar stuff. Best make it quick if you're interested I think. I missed out on this unfortunately

shopafrolic · 30/10/2014 08:48

LOVE those heels BTW

LinusDKD · 30/10/2014 09:18

Morning!

Yawn, didn't get much sleep last night. DS woke me up several times during the night so in the end I took him in bed with me. DH is traveling anyway but I still didn't get much sleep as he kept waking up every time I turned round.

He does seem to be better today, he doesn't have a temp anymore and has eaten a bit. It's all very strange because he only had a temp and a tummy ache and no d&v.

shop I so wish we had a Uniqlo here. I am wearing one of their bretons I bough for USD 10 in the sale and I love their superfine Merino jumpers I bought at the same time.

I have to say I have been dissapointed with Hamleys the last few times I've been in there. When we lived in London many years ago it seemed like they had better merchandise but maybe I'm wrong.

LOVE these but really need some black flats. Haven't found my perfect pair yet though.

bettykt · 30/10/2014 12:57

Linus sorry to hear ds was poorly but glad to hear he is feeling a bit better today. Lovely boots you linked, have you found your grey ones yet?

Sleep how is your ds, feeling better I hope?

Mom wow love the VB shoes they are fierce.

One I'm sure you will look absolutely lovely at the MU.

QueenC how's your toe today? Glad to hear Dfil is a bit better than expected.

Fedup I love that colour nail varnish, not sure if it will suit me but I'm going to give it a go Grin

Shop glad you had a good spree at Westfield, I too am thinking of booking a hotel for MU, although I haven't told dh yet, I'm about an hour outside London and was wondering how I am going to negotiate train n tube in heels Hmm

Hello Foxy I don't think we've met, I hope you get to find your perfect pair of leggings

Santa lovely skirt, did you buy it Grin

Liberty hope your meeting went well the other day and that you'll take it easy when you're off.

Slowly buying some things for work, not going overboard as I only work part time but have ordered this black coat didn't think my arctic parka would cut the mustard. I also ordered Me and Em top I'm slowly introducing moss/olive into my wardrobe as an alternative to grey and camel, go me push that boat out Grin

WFM today, am a vision in black, black tank, skinnies and cashmere card and when I go out I'll put on black R&B ballet flats and an LV stole to brighten things up.

santamarianovella · 30/10/2014 13:19

queen ouch that sounds painful

mom , I love your shoe boots,

shop I can imagine Westfield during half term is madness, leather leggings, they are an AW staple for me, perfect with knits or evening tops,I just replaced my old ones, expensive purchase its just one of those things that you feel guilty buying, but end up loving it ,and can't imagine not owning it, look around and try loads on,

linus dd,had the symptoms a few weeks ago, low grade fever, tummy ache , and that's it, but after a couple of days, she was fine,

fedup, that's a great colour, I admire anyone who paint their nails and looks after them, maybe because mine are rubbish and I only clip and buff them mysel

I would have to agree that Hamleys has lost it's spark. when I first moved to the uk, I was in complete awe of Hamleys,I've never seen a toy shop that big, and i was 18! but kids now days hardly play with anything, and i think this reflects the state of the toy shops. my foundest memory as a kid was of my parents taking me to the Au Nain Bleu toy shop on the st honore,

shopafrolic · 30/10/2014 14:08

I am getting sunburnt in Brighton

MN Vogue - vol. 47
OneLittleLady · 30/10/2014 14:12

i think I might do a little found out this morning that someone has nominated me for the MN secret santa. I am so touched that someone thought of me, it's totally and utterly unexpected and I'm certain there are others more deserving than me!

Utterly farcical at the doctors having my blood test and ECG, ended up in just my pants and bra as we couldn't get the ECG monitor wires to stay put while I had my dress on. It's a good job I'm not shy about medical professionals seeing my body parts is all I can say Grin

QueenCardigan · 30/10/2014 14:47

No idea what the secret Santa is all about but one that founds great.

I'm looking a vision of style today in navy tee and navy sweatpants. Accessorised with wellies and fleece Grin. Everyone else has gone out whilst I look after the dog so just took him for a stroll up the lane. Bloody dog wouldn't then give me his muddy paws to wipe so I'm trying to ignore the paw prints all over the kitchen. Toe is much better since I strapped it up and the swelling has subsided a bit so not quite so painful to walk on.

I remember as a kid visiting london and Hamleys was a day out in itself. Maybe there's just too many toyshops around now and too much internet availability but it's lost its specialness and uniqueness.

That polish is lovely fedup although a bit pale for me.

libertychick · 30/10/2014 14:49

Oh that's lovely One I wonder what you will get? Exciting!

Brighton looks great Shop. I think leather leggings will be around for a while. It's a classic silhouette, leggings with an oversize top and leather makes it much more luxe and edgy - I think you'd work it well. My thighs are a bit too chunky for the look I think. Foxy you would look great in them too.

santamarianovella · 30/10/2014 15:13

dear god! please ignore my appalling mistakes, Blush, I'm having trouble typing on phone, and deleting U2's album

one that's amazing!

Wow shop, sunny beautiful weather, Envy
It's cloudy and grim here,
