It was a nice night! Glad I did it.

santamarianovella · 28/10/2014 22:25

I've just googled Daniella Westbrook, and the first search that came. Up was danilla Westbrook burberry, dear god, that was back in the 90s right?

marsha that's great Smile,

shopafrolic · 28/10/2014 22:29

Good stuff Marsha
Burberry are over all that now I think. Dry it's yours. Will get it sent x

OneLittleLady · 28/10/2014 22:43

I remember that whole burberry ensemble! Put me off the print for a long time as everyone in this town seemed to have a knock off version of it, usually in the form of a hat or scarf.

AmberNectarine · 29/10/2014 00:41

I was devo'ed about that whole DW/Burberry thing because I had just saved up all my pocket money (bear in mind I was about 15 at the time) on a navy nova check hat and scarf. I still have them somewhere!

libertychick · 29/10/2014 08:37

Glad you had a good night Marsha.
I'm dithering over what to wear....it's chilly compared to yesterday.

maradesbois · 29/10/2014 09:26

Morning,

I think Burberry has successfully turned around the image of its check since the DW low point. That was years ago. A classic scarf is gorgeous.

Really cross about My Wardrobe customer service. When I ordered the Colt boots the other day there were loads of glitches with the site, upshot was I ended up ordering twice. Despite emailing them seconds after placing the order they said nothing they can do, have to take delivery and return. A real pita. Would just like to reject the second package and tell courier to return to sender but if I do that guess I don't have control of tracking it. They've already debited my account twice so need to be able to confirm delivery of the return. Wish I hadn't bothered ordering at all. Halloween Angry

That is crap Mara. Outnet are able to recall.

mom I meant to say yesterday that I love that Vanessa Bruno dress. I am debating bringing trousers and sweater back to Whistles. Both were sales buys over the summer. Means finding receipts and the time to go there.

Today I am wearing grey A line H&M mini, black sleeveless uniqlo silk shirt, Gap black merino cardi, black opaques and black brogues. Various bits of silver jewellery.

santamarianovella · 29/10/2014 10:20

liberty I just read your post about DD, poor thing,

mara that's rubbish, they could've easily canceled order before it was dispatched,

mara I love that VB dress,

Its freezing here today,it was 2 this morning, I'm wearing burberry short coat, leather leggings, and brunello cucinelli sweater,

Stokey · 29/10/2014 10:43

What a fab dress Mom, love it.

I had to brave Hamleys for a present yesterday (it's about 5 mins from work) - it was insane, and the checkout girl said it was even worse from 2-5, well done for going Marsha & Mara. Very annoying about mywardobe, I was thinking about buying some blue Ash Jalouses from them, then realised the WIT discount had expired and I should really buy black boots first, & now am getting bombarded by emails telling me they're still available.

I'm wearing a J-Crew pencil skirt, blue v-neck and Kurt Geiger black heeled Chelsea boots. Last day at work, I'm looking forward to being a lady of leisure.

LinusDKD · 29/10/2014 11:02

mara that is bad CS! Why would they not cancel one order?

momin that is a lovely VB dress. I have never tried any VB but maybe I should.

Great pencil skirt stokey! I tried on a lovely J Crew one in store which was perfect (very flattering scuba material) but it had a zipper that bunched up underneath my bum. Such a shame because otherwise I would have bought it.

Pretty cold here as well but sunny. Wearing TS Leigh skinnies, Uniqlo Merino jumper and will wear a very old DKNY princess coat when I go out.

foxysocks · 29/10/2014 13:50

hello again!

have just read the last few pages, linus love the look of the rails shirts. what's the sizing like? am very tempted! esp if shop bop do another site wide promotion in the near future, I didn't get anything in the last one and now have loads I'd like!

I've been looking at leather leggings recently. have any MNVers got these? think I have my heart set on the helmut lang version but they are so expensive I could cry. do selfridges or my theresa ever do good discount codes?? NaP stock the pair I want too but as we all know they are awful at discounts!

sleep POOR you, sickness is the worst esp in holidays. I'm home alone too at the moment, husband in Oz for three weeks (grrrr). I tracked down the coat on vestaire in the end it should be here this week!

marsha hugs, my dad similar. I hate it.

OneLittleLady · 29/10/2014 17:16

Foxy

No leather leggings for me, I've too many lumps and bumps to disguise!

Have spent all day creating a wicked witch of the west costume for my Dsis out of, well, basically bits from my wardrobe and the stuff i could get in the poundshops. it's pretty good to say I had only been told it was needed last night!

santamarianovella · 29/10/2014 17:45

I tried this skirt this afternoon, boy was it short, I tried looking at my reflection in the changing room mirror ,while bending, and I could almost see my cheeks Blush, and the black stripe is almost faded, can't see it looking good with any of the black sweaters I had,

one i bet with all your vast knowledge in all matters of quirkines the costume must look pretty awesome! and you are a much nicer person than me, I wouldve told her to do it herself, seeing she only informed you last night!

foxy I have leather leggings, your probably could get HL ones at Black Fridays, through shopbop, but better try them on somewhere that stocks them, first,

I've just listened to the avicci new single on the radio the guy singing the vocals sounded so familiar, turned out to be Robbie Williams! I never liked any of his songs, but this is one is so good, lyrics were written by Brandon flowers, very strange collaboration,

OneLittleLady · 29/10/2014 17:56

Thank you santa i have to say, it does look pretty good to say it's been thrown together in a matter of hours! I don't mind so much, this time, as she has good reasons for not being able to do it herself.

Skirt is lovely but I can see how short it must have been on! I love that shape and style skirt, I've seen a lot of them around but just can't decide if they are best left to the slim of hip rather than those like me with an over abundance of curve!

foxysocks · 29/10/2014 18:00

oh black friday, good call santa. yes I've tried them on from MyW but I need a 0 and the smallest they do is a 2. shame as the discount is mammoth with the current code stacking.

hi one! bet you'd be surprised how blinking flattering they are, I was amazed. look ace with heels and a longer top or jumper. I am outfit planning them already in my head, haha.

shopafrolic · 29/10/2014 18:02

Waving to all. Plonks bags down and pours cup of tea.
We went to Westfield, in Half Term week. I must be mental.
The plan was to do Christmas shopping. The plan failed, but I got some lovely bits from Uniqlo Grin
I tried the silk shirts that everyone has been raving about - didn't think much to them (even for the low price). Bought an Ines de la F denim shirt reduced, a black merino polo neck and some heat tech and loungewear.
Had a neck massage and a nice lunch. Came home.
Foxy no leather leggings here but I too am tempted (they are so £££ though)
One costume making sounds awesome
Lib loved the sound of your outfit today.
Santa that is short - but lovely

foxysocks · 29/10/2014 18:54

I know shop but am thinking CPW...???! how are you getting on with the season switch, btw? feeling good as a winter?

OneLittleLady · 29/10/2014 18:59

Am starting to fret about MU outfit, I'm a little ashamed to admit this but I feel so scruffy compared to you lovely lot. you're all so polished and poised and I am but a little yorkshire weeble! I know it's silly to feel that way, I'm just so unsure of myself all the time. I have nice clothes, really nice clothes in fact but I never wear them from fear of looking stupid Sad

shopafrolic · 29/10/2014 19:02

Foxy I reckon I'd live in them with slouchy knits if I owned a pair..... But I wonder how long they'll last as a trend? I should have gone for it last year I think.
I definitely feel much more me as a Winter, I just can't afford to buy the things I'd really like. Am gutted that I bought such good quality stuff that I know I won't wear so much now. But the colours are great, so strong, more me. :)

shopafrolic · 29/10/2014 19:04

Don't stress One - we want your company, not your wardrobe. You'll look lovely x
Have we decided on venue yet? I'm thinking of booking a hotel......

LinusDKD · 29/10/2014 19:14

Evening!

sleep how is your DS1?

Poor DS had a temperature tonight and complained of a tummy ache but he has gone to bed now. Let's hope we have a quiet night. Sad

shop sounds like you had a great day.

foxy I have an S in all my Rails shirts. When I tried on an XS it did fit but was maybe a bit too tight around the shoulders so if you are broad shouldered I would go for an S.

Great skirt santa but a bit short, even with opaques. I saw a kakhi VB skirt today and thought of you but maybe it was a bit too plain.

Will try and find a link.

LinusDKD · 29/10/2014 19:17

VB skirt

QueenCardigan · 29/10/2014 20:38

one seriously don't stress, you've got some lovely clothes and a great sense of style so don't let it worry you. I've had 'the talk' again comes round every so often, I'm good and then I ignore, cycle repeats itself so won't be buying a new mu outfit. I'll be in a blouse and trousers.

The holiday is going better than expected. Fil is better than I was lead to believe although the dog is on his last legs and I came down stairs ths morning to a puddle of piss to clean up. We've had some nice days out and I'm coping with the evenings by glugging Sauvignon Grin.

I had a great run again yesterday and then came back and slipped on the bathroom floor bending my toe underneath me. It's purple and swollen and likely broken but as it's the second toe anyone is unlikely to X-ray it as it doesn't change how it's treated. I'm on pain killers and I've strapped it up and hoping that it heals quickly as I kind of have to walk on the side of my foot. It had better be better for wearing heels at the mu!
