Evening all.
Sleep sorry to hear of all the bugs. Hope everyone gets better soon. Stinking colds here. Rubbish.
Amber I used to have a social life like yours Envy sometimes I didn't even go home for 3 or 4 days...... Pre-child obviously! Hope you have a fun night.
No news here. DH is off this half term but is poorly too so day 1 of half term consisted of lunch in Wagamamas but not much else. No style news. So many things I want to buy to start my Winter journey but no cash ATM so will have to wait.

Drywhiteplease · 27/10/2014 21:08

Ladies I'm working the Berghaus.....oh yes, I'm kitted out and cosy and dry look like a mountaineer but who cares?

Drywhiteplease · 27/10/2014 21:14

Amber I salute your social life Smile

Drywhiteplease · 27/10/2014 21:16

And Sleep I'm so sorry, the only consolation is that the bugwill have gone through your whole family now and hopefully you'll be bug free from here on Smile

QueenCardigan · 27/10/2014 21:47

Evening all. No fashion news here either. Spent most of the day lazing around the cottage so wore my comfy tracksuit bottoms.
sleep glad ds better but sorry to hear that other ds has it. Sickness bugs are tedious when they take so long to pass round everyone. Hope you and dh escape.

Sleepwhenidie · 27/10/2014 22:23

Thanks everyone, I had it for about 4-5 days but like DD, it was quite mild, it seems to gaining strength Confused! Ds2 is very little, only about 13kg at nearly age 5, there's not a lot to him, I'm thinking maybe get him to the doctor tomorrow as he's not as robust as DS1 and DD Sad. See how we go tonight.

Dry your Scottish hideaway sounds lovely. dSIL is doing a similar thing with her in laws, big house with a pool and a chef in the middle of nowhere. Lovely Smile

Amber - respect Smile!

libertychick · 27/10/2014 22:33

Oh your poor little DS2 sleep. GP sounds like a good idea.

My poor little DD took a nasty tumble from her scooter today. Trying to keep up with some older children. Cuts on her knee, elbow and face.

I was wearing my Whistles peg trousers today and I looked like a total scruff. One wash and they look rubbish. Really wrinkled and baggy. That's the second Whistles item that I am annoyed with. A grey cashmere sweater has bobbled very badly after only a couple of wears. What is going on with their quality????

Another big meeting tomorrow. Friday can't come fast enough then I am off for two whole weeks.

Drywhiteplease · 27/10/2014 22:46

Liberty good luck for tomorrow. Poor dd, scooters are really dangerous but irresistible for little ones.

LinusDKD · 28/10/2014 07:38

Morning!

lib your poor DD! Sad

I hope your meeting goes well today and Angry about the Whistles trousers.

sleep DS is also very skinny so when he's ill I also worry more as he doesn't have any 'reserve' so to speak. Unlike DD Wink

shop sorry to hear you're all feeling poorly too.

I am wearing my new Rails shirt today with some black TS Leigh skinnies. I just love how these shirts feel. I have yet to wash my other one so I hope they are just as nice after washing.

Oh and DH said I looked lovely this morning so that's always a bonus. Grin

LinusDKD · 28/10/2014 13:30

dry pm!

Stokey · 28/10/2014 14:11

The Rails shirts look lovely Linus

Hope DD has recovered from her scooter injury Liberty. Luckily my youngest gets scared when she goes too fast so stays very close to me at the moment, sure it will all change soon.

I've just been into & Other Stories, they do have some lovely stuff. I tried on this silk mini which would be great for Christmas parties. I also tried a sparkly jumper and a black mini skirt which was very flattering. No buys but a good wish list for the winter sales.

libertychick · 28/10/2014 17:17

Thanks all, DD is right as rain today and off as fast as ever on the scooter, keeps me fit running to keep up!!

One my sister who is really into her music pinned this dress and I immediately thought of you!

OneLittleLady · 28/10/2014 17:31

I love that liberty!

I've spent the afternoon sorting through the masses of already bought christmas presents that have been lurking under the clothes airer. Have sorted them all into bags for each person so I know who is finished and who needs a few bits more. I really need to find somewhere better to store this type of thing next year!

MarshaBrady · 28/10/2014 17:33

Did half term London version at the aquarium and Hamleys. Gps are here. Oh my. Need to get ready to go out now.

shopafrolic · 28/10/2014 17:52

Local GPs or Aus Marsha?!

MarshaBrady · 28/10/2014 18:24

Ones from Aus, my parents. It was going well and then it didnt, usual stuff. We're taking them out tonight, better like it!

shopafrolic · 28/10/2014 18:34

Oh! In that case thinking of you and sending minimal stress vibes your way xx

MarshaBrady · 28/10/2014 18:43

Ah thanks I really appreciate it xx

Mominatrix · 28/10/2014 18:47

Evening all.

Was in town today, like Marsha. It was heaving with people. I really have never seen so many people out at the Tower of London (the poppy field is amazing) and along both banks of the river. Mind you, with the weather today, it did have a summer holiday feel about it.

Marsha - hope the GPs and you had an enjoyable evening.

sleep - what did the GP say? Fingers crossed that he takes a dramatic turn for the better.

One - I'm in awe regarding your organisational ability - Christmas presents bought and sorted already? Mind you, the decorations are already out on Bond Street and just waiting to be lit. Ummmm - it is still October!

Liberty your poor DD! Hope she just has grazes and recovers well. Last year I burned had my face pretty badly and smeared La Roche Posey's Cicaplast Baume B4 continuously on it. Recovered well - perhaps some of this after the grazes scab over? Really disappointed to hear about the problem with Whistles. Have you called the shop and spoken to a manager? In the US, they would take back the clothes and give you store credit or a refund. If the clothes are that poor quality, I would complain. Enough complaints, and they might do something about it!

shop hope everyone feels better in your household soon, too!.

Today, wore this dress, black leather biker jacket, and the always-present studded brogues. Went to Rupert Sanderson to exchange shoes (he sizes so large that I am embarrassed to say what my shoe size is in his styles!) but had no time to stop in any other shops (had to walk right past Isabel Marant, Stella McCartney, and Anya Hindmarch without stopping!).

LinusDKD · 28/10/2014 18:48

Oh marsha! I really hope things get better again with the GP's!

(((Hugs)))

Drywhiteplease · 28/10/2014 19:38

Marsha thinking of you xxxx
Shop are your visitors behaving?
Sending love to all of my MN friends who have relatives staying or sick children.
Mom absolutely no one where I was today. A few deer and some sheep, that's it. Incredible! All fashion gone out of the window.....must make an effort Smile

shopafrolic · 28/10/2014 19:42

Dry DSil and nieces left on Sunday. ILs due Friday (my birthday treat!)
Am envious of the amazing scenery where you are. Meant to say - I have a Burberry scarf that I wondered if you might like?

Drywhiteplease · 28/10/2014 21:08

Shop I had a traditional Burburry check woollen scarf years ago. I got to H Nics really early desperate to buy it. Loved it. Went with everything.....until I saw Daniella Westbrook and baby in Burburry over kill, chavtastic. I got rid, have always regretted it chav at heart would look great with my camel coat. Am defo interested..........

Drywhiteplease · 28/10/2014 21:08

BurbErry....gah!!!

Karbea · 28/10/2014 21:32

Urgh Burberry, I have this amazing skirt in the Burberry print that I got just before the whole daniella Westbrook episode, I think I've worn it twice. I won't throw it away but can't wear it either. It's packed away with other items I'm emotionally attached too.
