Ohh QueenC that sounds very unpleasant, hope you're alright now. Are you staying somewhere nearby? I love my HOF outlet, I nab many many bargains in there!

maradesbois · 26/10/2014 21:00

Here are my burgundy Colts. Have been lusting after these for a while and £160 of discount finally swung it.

Dry so with you on being glass half full. Having what sounds a similar weekend to yours in a few weeks and can't wait. The colder it is the more you appreciate a roaring fire. The last time I was in Scotland in winter we did swim outside so can't wait for your pics*

*disclaimer, was in boiling hot hotel pool Grin

Gorgeous boots Mara. Great discount.

santamarianovella · 26/10/2014 21:10

Very nice mara,

dry enjoy the highlands,we usually go there around this time of year,

sleep ,your poor DS

LinusDKD · 27/10/2014 07:42

Lovely Colts mara!

Hope to wear mine next time I go out as they are a bit too high to wear every day.

sleep how's your DS today?

Just went for a run and need a shower. Not sure what I'll wear today.

Fedupnagging · 27/10/2014 08:38

Novice'what a rude little man. You must be secretly pleased that you are ageing so well Wink

Sleep hope you had a good time last night. How is your ds this am?

Queen hope you are feeling better today.

Dry your weekend sounds lovely and relaxing despite the weather outside.
I was Shock at swimming outside Mara until I read your disclaimer.

The last time I was in the highlands, I came home with the mother of all souvenirs - pregnant!!

I am idly wondering whether I should get a tan/brown bag for Christmas. I looked at loads last night but lost all my links. However,
this Ralph Lauren caught my eye.

I love the colour of this bag. Am heading to JL later as have loads of gifts to buy so may have a little detour to accessories.

Marsha, nearly forgot - love your boots. Fab colour so hope you keep them.

Fedupnagging · 27/10/2014 08:40

Oops, the colts are yours Mara.

MarshaBrady · 27/10/2014 09:23

Mara love those boots.

MarshaBrady · 27/10/2014 09:33

Sleep hope all ok at the gp this morning?

Stokey · 27/10/2014 09:47

Great boots Mara love the colour

Can't stand those sort of people Novice petty power trips.

I did Sunday lunch for 8 people yesterday, working from home today wondering if I can be bothered to make stock (which I should) or just chuck carcass away to tidy up. Made a yummy pear and maple syrup cake, suprisingly easy.

Hush is mid-season sale, pretty paltrey discounts to be honest but I'm considering this stripey dress or maybe the Rosie one.

I quite like their lattice stitch jumper too although DMBL40 linked to a New Look one which is far cheaper.

maradesbois · 27/10/2014 10:43

Morning,

Linus was wondering about the height but tried on the rag & bone newburys which think are similar and they were ok. If I keep them think it will be for smartish daytime.

Sleep how is ds today?

Fedup wow, you certainly enjoyed the highlands! Fab memory. Nice bag btw.

Hi Stokey, love the sound of your cake. Do you have a recipe you could link?

OP posts:
Stokey · 27/10/2014 10:56

Here's the recipe Mara. I didn't have any ground ginger so used fresh but couldn't taste it much. It was easy enough for the DDs (5 & 2.5) to help mainly by licking the sppons - enjoy!

QueenCardigan · 27/10/2014 11:01

Morning. Feeling much better thanks. No idea what set it off as I haven't had pain like that for months/years since dd was little. one we're fairly near you and being a Sunday afternoon your town was the place where there was an out of hours pharmacy.

sleep how's ds?
Nice boots mara. I reckon burgundy would be very versatile. I'm still wondering about further navy boots or whether they just look odd with dark jeans?
fedup really like that white stuff bag. The colour is lovely.

Did anyone see that in style mag hipsters are out and chavs are in? Apparently tattoos are the new beard.

OneLittleLady · 27/10/2014 11:09

Glad you're feeling better QueenC

Lovely boots Mara love the colour of them

AmberNectarine · 27/10/2014 11:16

Ruinously hungover today. Out with friends last night - wore grey long sleeved ribbed crop top, leather mini, opaques, pistols and leopard faux fur coat. Am lazily wearing same crop top today under dungarees with high top gazelles. Out for date night tonight with DH. Trying to decide between new black Helmut Lang dress or purple leopard print Stella McC vest and coated skinnies....

Sleepwhenidie · 27/10/2014 13:40

Hi DS1 was awake and feeling awful but rallied by 8am, ate loads of breakfast. So didn't call GP. Bought tickets for Lego exhibition, got ready, got tube into town, off tube and DS2 promptly throws up HmmSad...here we go again, third week, third child, what a half term!

Sleepwhenidie · 27/10/2014 13:40

Thanks everyone for asking btw Smile

bettykt · 27/10/2014 14:11

Aw Sleep poor ds2 but glad ds1 is feeling a bit better Thanks

Amber hope you're taking it easy today Grin

QueenC glad you're feeling better.

Stokey cake sounds yummy

Mara great boots, I love the colour.

Novice hope you had a good flight after that dodgy start

Waves to Marsha and One

Am having a relaxing day today so not looking very stylish. Jeans and tank will put on Pettys when I take dc to the dentist later on.

Fedupnagging · 27/10/2014 14:17

Oh Sleep poor you. It's awful when all the dc's go down with the same bug, it feels like you are being nursemaid for ever. Hope you don't catch it too.

I had a look at the white stuff bag, gorgeous colour but didn't like the strap so didn't buy. Was very focused and only bought the things I actually went shopping for

Stokey, not so keen on the stripey dress but love the Rosie one. Pear and maple syrup cake, yum! I made tea bread last night which I absolutely love, warm with lashings of butter.

Amber sounds like you had a good time last night - hope you recover in time for tonight. Have you decided what you are wearing yet?

Stokey · 27/10/2014 14:23

Gosh Amber I'm impressed with yopur stamina - a Sunday and Monday night seems so much more decadent than a Friday and Saturday

Sorry about your DC Sleep typical that they all get it one by one.

Good focusing Fedup

I'm trying to sort out DD1's party in two weeks time. Have got books for the party bags but want a couple of other small things. What do you think are good fillers? we have 37 coming eek, so nothing pricey!

santamarianovella · 27/10/2014 15:27

How about Stickers? Crayons? stokey

sleep , poor you,

amber I'm impressed and a little Envy,

Mominatrix · 27/10/2014 18:01

Evening all.

What a stunning day it was - well, weather wise. Took the dog and DS for a run by the river today, and ate back all the calories at a nice lunch. The things that made the day not great was that my phone has gone MIA. On the iPhone app, it is showing up at a strange location which I have never been to. Even stranger, the phone seemed to have walked itself out of my house between lunch today and dinner last night - without me even leaving the house! Mysteries!

stokey what about those rainbow band kits? They are cheap, and kids love them.

Amber - strong work! Hope today was not difficult. Which outfit did you decide on in the end?

sleep - hope DS is doing better, and the GP was able to give him something.

novice - I would have been livid. No chance then of that airline moving up in your esteem!

mara - gorgeous boots, and what a price!

dry - the weather sounds perfect...to relax indoors.

Hello to everyone else!

LinusDKD · 27/10/2014 18:53

Evening!

Pretty gloomy day here weather wise but at least it didn't rain.

stokey how about barettes? You can buy packs of them (and other bits and bobs) quite cheaply at H&M.

amber respect! Have fun tonight. It's clear you're still in your twenties as you seem to recuperate a lot quicker than us oldies. Wink

sleep hope DS2 had it less bad than you or his siblings. Courage!

My Shopbop Rails shirt arrived and I love it! Can't wait to wear it tomorrow.

I even have my eye on another one but I'm afraid I will be taking the Plaid Love a but too far if I also order it. Blush

OneLittleLady · 27/10/2014 19:39

Evening all.

poor Ds2 sleep I hope he doesn't get it so badly as his Dbro

Amber you have the stamina of an ox! oh to be young

Another night where I will proceed to whine about feeling rubbish.I'm mostly alright all day and then as soon as the evening hits, I'm exhausted, achy and shivering like I've got the start of flu please keep me protected flu jab I'm not sure if I caught a bug of some kind or it's my body letting itself go after a busy few weeks in the run up to reading week. Am sipping hot honey and lemon from a huge mug snuggled in my big wonder woman dressing gown. Hopefully I won't have such a disturbed nights sleep as I have the last two and should feel better by morning

AmberNectarine · 27/10/2014 19:42

Wore the purple leopard stella top, Goldsign leggings, black patent Louboutin pigalles, Zara blazer and baby Balenciaga bag with lots of silver rings and a cuff.

Out tomorrow night as well ;)
