mara Grin re the % discount, you know me well!

Sorry to hear DS isn't well Sleep hope he feels better soon. Enjoy your night out.

One Shock at your sister and the hair!! She should treat you to a hairdresser visit. I would be devastated!

Have MIL, SIL and DNephews here atm, drinking lots of Wine and watching gogglebox.

Maybe the wedding pin board can wait til I'm back from holiday QueenC? Wink

OneLittleLady · 24/10/2014 22:07

I feel so pathetic but I'm really struggling with this haircut. I feel like it makes me look like a middle aged woman. My lovely long hair was the only thing I liked about how I looked. I know this is a totally pathetic thing to be upset about though Haloween Sad

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 24/10/2014 22:23

It isn't pathetic at all One, it must be a shock. Can you look on Pinterest for shorter hairstyle inspiration?

OneLittleLady · 24/10/2014 22:26

I'm trawling pinterest now. So much had to be cut off to get anywhere near in okay condition. It was down to the back of my bra and now it barely grazes my shoulders so it may well be more than five inches they had to take off. I closed my eyes and just told them to get on with it, i didn't want to watch in case i started crying Haloween Sad

libertychick · 24/10/2014 22:31

one I could imagine shoulder length looking good on you and not at all middle aged. And don't say that's the only good thing. You have lovely skin, are v pretty and have a great sense of style. It is really upsetting when you don't like your hair but it will grow. And I am absolutely certain you still look lovely. Xxxx

OneLittleLady · 24/10/2014 22:36

aw, thanks liberty it's just a real shock, I'd spent ages growing it out as it really softened my features which can look quite masculine with the wrong haircut, especially short ones which is why I told them no pixie cut as they definitely don't suit, I don't have the right face shape for those.

santamarianovella · 24/10/2014 22:42

one I'm sure it's not that bad.

linus the leggings were by dorothee Schumacher ,

LinusDKD · 24/10/2014 22:53

Off to have a look santa!

OneLittleLady · 24/10/2014 23:36

pfft, tried to take pictures of my newest dresses tonight bu the light in here is awful and none of them came out right. I'm struggling to decide which to wear for MU. I have told Dp he has to take me somewhere I can wear the other one though Halloween Grin

shopafrolic · 25/10/2014 09:01

If anyone still wants that Helmut Lang red dress in a Medium then PM me......

Mominatrix · 25/10/2014 10:39

one: sympathies regarding the hair. To have such a large percentage lobbed of is quite a shock - similar happened to me earlier this year due to a very bad cut, so I really can empathise. Still growing out, but I took the opportunity to do something funky to make it less middle-aged woman (i had a very choppy bob-ish thing done to my hair with long layers and that flicked out at the ends even when air-dried. Gave me a more hip, youngish look, and my DB who is one of those hip designer types, LOVED it and said it actually made me look younger.

liberty: Love the skirt, and although normally I prefer natural fabrics, I'd rather have pleather in a white skirt style. I'd style it as it is shown in their cookbook, or with a grey or black roll neck. Black opaques and with stiletto ankle boots. In this weather, I'd skip the tights and wear stiletto courts. Might have to check it out - I'd have to have it taken just above the knee because of my (lack of)height.

linus: those leiderhosen Shock. Um perhaps for Octoberfest (really clutching straws)? However, Alexa Chung could probably wear those with clunky flats , and baggy jumper on top, tights under, and look amazing.

sleep: hope you had a great evening. Love your outfit. Also home DS is better. The only good thing about tummy bugs is that they tend to not last very long. The horrible thing about tummy bugs is that they are quite catchy - meaning I always pick them up from DC.

dry have a lovely holiday!

mara love your outfit from yesterday too.

santa did you have any insurance on your phone (credit cards often have insurance on them)? How irritating!

Quiet morning with no kids. I'm going to take pup for a long walk by the river and check out a new farmers market. Going to meet friends for lunch, then get the kids back. Nothing too fashionable today - Lululemon yoga cover-up trousers, thin stripy black-and white v neck cashmere, biker leather jacket and converse.

Someone asked about Pup - she is a gorgeous 7 month old black wavy-coated cockapoo. Sweet, but has a taste (literally) for nice shoes.

If anyone likes Rupert Sanderson shoes, there is 20% off until Halloween with the code "TreatForFeet" - took the opportunity to restock on these as Pup ate a previous pair. Told you she had good taste!

Mominatrix · 25/10/2014 10:39

liberty - lookbook, not cookbook. I really am a cr*p typist.

Karbea · 25/10/2014 10:48

Oh I'm so tired!
mom I can sympathise re the pup, I've two and my little boy loves expensive underwear, especially bras, he runs off into the garden with them... I'm just waiting for my poor old gardener to find something before I do. He (pup not gardener) also chewed the heel of some loubies!
What with dh shrinking things, pup eating things and me on a spending ban, I'm
Surprised I've anything to wear!

BrandyAlexander · 25/10/2014 10:59

Morning all! I feel like I should change my name to Old Lady Novice or Whining Novice. Two weeks of constant coughing appears to have done something to my muscles. It hurts. as does the coughing. Sad and my period started mid week which means my haemoglobin levels drop. lots of gritting teeth to get through the last couple of days! However my new bag has helped! This afternoon we are decorating the house for Halloween. dcs are v excited!

fashion wise feeling v snug in my powder blue J crew cashmere sweater with black J crew matchstick jeans and RB biker boots. A rare day of gold jewellery but started with 3ct blue topaz earrings, gold bangle watch, swarovski gemstone stacking ring and a gold bracelet that's got interlinking gemstones with tiny diamonds. I love the bracelet but don't wear it often enough.

OneLittleLady · 25/10/2014 11:12

Ouch novice have you maybe pulled a muscle in your chest from all the coughing? Outfit sounds fab and I bet your house will look super spooky! we don't get trick or treaters here mostly because they can't get into the flats so I don't decorate.

karbea what a bad pup! I have a cat, yes a cat, who chews things as well as scratches them! I had a lovely gouge out of a pair of purple suede shoes she'd taken a shine to but luckily, the shoe repair man could fix them and you can barely tell they've been damaged!

libertychick · 25/10/2014 11:50

You would look great in the skirt mom. It definitely needs stillitos and I can't wear them. I have decided to return the sweater. Wore it around the house for 20 mins last night and it felt really itchy. I now really want a pale coloured, oversized roll neck sweater in a decent fabric so links are very welcome.

Ouch at hurting yourself coughing novice. So annoying but easy to do. Good on you decorating for Halloween. I don't bother with it at all. I'll probably have to as DD gets older!

BrandyAlexander · 25/10/2014 12:00

One yes I think that's what's happened. v odd but hurts! popping into Boots shortly to get something for it.

We don't have any pets so like hearing about everyone else's!

OneLittleLady · 25/10/2014 12:03

The only thing that really helps pulled muscles is......yes, REST. you really need some proper downtime novice really starting to worry about you lovey

BrandyAlexander · 25/10/2014 15:22

I know! I know!Blush I am hoping the worst of it will be over in 2 weeks time. Unfortunately I have to get through the next 2 weeks. Thank you for caring. Thanks

Karbea · 25/10/2014 17:48

one as well as two dogs, I've four cats! When the youngest was a kitten she loved chewing the handles on the windows.
novice I've more than enough pets for all of us!

Karbea · 25/10/2014 17:52

mom love the roll necks especially the Reiss one, very snugly. Jumpers are on my list, but I think I'm going to get v neck ones as I think they'll suit my body shape better, I've quite a few roll necks and wore one to my friends diwali party the other night (as we were outside a lot), and I was very aware of having a mono-boob.

bettykt · 25/10/2014 18:18

Mom I particularly likes the Whistles sweater you linked.

Liberty Will you have a change of heart re: the White pleather skirt. It looks lovely.

Karbea naughty puppy but they have great taste. Grin

Novice hope the next 2 weeks go super swift for you and hopefully you can take your foot off the gas for a while, hope you feel better soon Thanks

Blair Dry and QueenC hope you have a great holiday

Mara & Sleep!hope you both had s fab night out last night.

One'can you get a complete re-style re: your hair? I'm at the in between stage atm and if my hair doesn't play ball closer to the time of the MU I'm getting it all chopped off Grin

Fedup think we may do the same job Wink

Marsha, Shop, Linus, Santa, Stokey, Topaz, Turq , Amber hope you're all having a great weekend and massive apologies to anyone I've missed Blush

Off out to dinner later with dh, I'm wearing DVF Bentley and leopard print heels. I'm MNetting whilst waiting for my nails to dry. I'm wearing Eternal Optimist by Essie, it looks very neutral on me.

libertychick · 25/10/2014 18:40

Thanks Mom. I love the Reiss one and the Whistles one looks good too. Will check both out when I'm in the city next week. Will report back!

Your outfit sounds great Betty. Hope you have a great night.

MarshaBrady · 25/10/2014 18:40

Have fun Betty

I'm on detox for a bit. So have decided to stay in.
