one: I want to go back and get a masters in Nutrition. Kings College has a great programme, but it is really intense, requiring research and a thesis. That combined with a medical degree will allow me to quite a bit of flexibility in repositioning myself.

Linus: you could SO rock leather leggings. I am quite conservative, and definitely NOT rock chick material, and I don't think I look terrible in them.

OneLittleLady · 24/10/2014 12:34

Sounds very interesting Mom I'm sure that when you have sorted the time and space to do the studying, you will do really well at it Smile

I would love some leather leggings but am concerned that I have the wrong shape for them and that they would emphasize every lump and bump that i have so I've decided against them for the time being

MarshaBrady · 24/10/2014 13:01

I can vouch for Momin looking completely incredible in leather leggings. Linus you should go for it.

Nutrition sounds really interesting, and I love Kings, I had my first ds there.

I feel horrible atm, have been out too many times. Am going in to detox. Have a night out next week then I am definitely having a long break!

shopafrolic · 24/10/2014 13:02

I really want some leather leggings. Not sure I can justify the ££ though.....

shopafrolic · 24/10/2014 13:05

Sleep's fab Tart dress is on the Outnet with a further 40% off taking it down well below £75 if anyone is interested.......

shopafrolic · 24/10/2014 13:15

Pistols down to £323 on My Wardrobe with a further 25% off using the WIT code WIT25.

shopafrolic · 24/10/2014 13:15

Paige jeans on there too Dry

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 24/10/2014 13:32

Oooh is the 25% off WIT discount on top of the 15%? 36% off sounds pretty good to me!

Sadly I'm not really in shopping/fashion mode as I am spending next week on a boat, and not in a glamorous Dry way either. Sort of looking forward to wearing fleeces and boots for a week (ok, and new cashmere scarf) but sort of not.

santamarianovella · 24/10/2014 13:36

My new iPhone6 is dead Sad,
I dropped it this morning on carpet,so thought there can't be any damage done, then the language setting kept changing all morning, just took it to have it fixed, and they said, it can't be fixed, SadI have some important things written down on notes, and pictures I've taken this morning, it's all lost now,

I've had fab pair of leather leggings shop they were by Malene Birger, they were on sale when I got them, and they lasted about three years, Just replaced them with another I found in a store here,

blair your holiday plans sounds awesome,

mom enjoy your your evening out

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 24/10/2014 13:54

Oh no santa that's awful about the stuff you've lost. Surely it shouldn't break by being dropped on carpet?!

santamarianovella · 24/10/2014 14:18

No blair it shouldn't Sad, The phone works, but can't type anything, or search or use any of the apps.thats it I'm going to go all hipster and start carrying a real camera and note pad Wink,

Wow, that's a great price for pistols,

LinusDKD · 24/10/2014 15:41

Oh no santa! I have been contemplating an Iphone 6 especially after I saw how 'cheap' they were in the US. But my Iphone 5 still works well so I'll stick with it fot the time being.

Ok then, I'll go on the hunt for leather leggings. Any brands you can recommend? I will have to try them on IRL I guess and wear lots of talcum powder

That Masters sounds very interesting momin. I have been thinking of studying again once the DC are at school but I think I'd want to do something completely different than my original degree (which I have never used in the first place)

libertychick · 24/10/2014 15:53

I have just spent about 20 mins in Zara contemplating an off white pleather pencil skirt. Left it behind though. (a) I could not figure out what tights and footwear would work with it and (b) I reckon it would take me about 10 mins to stain it :). Shame though it was a good fit and quite flattering - something I would never have thought I could say about that type of skirt!

OneLittleLady · 24/10/2014 16:38

5 inches.i have had to have 5 inches cut off my hair it had all matted together at the bottom like ginger dreadlocks.dsis is never ever ever ever ever touching my hair again Sad Sad Sad Sad Sad Sad Sad Sad

libertychick · 24/10/2014 16:45

Oh poor you one. Not surprised you feel so sad. That's terrible. Hugs for you.

Karbea · 24/10/2014 16:52

one oh no, that's terrible. I'm annoyed with my hairdresser for cutting too much off my hair, but doubly frustrating it was your sil.

Fedupnagging · 24/10/2014 17:18

Yippee, it's half term and no work for a week Grin.

One sorry about your hair. I would be a bit cross too.

Santa how annoying about your phone - am surprised as you dropped it on carpet not a hard floor.

Mom enjoy tonight. Like the sound of both your outfits. Am always really impressed when people go back to study later on. Nutrition sounds really interesting though.

Linus you so have the figure for leather leggings - get looking!

Shop sounds like you and ds had a lovely day in London.

Good call on the skirt Lib - white is harder to wear in the winter I always think although brown/tan boots would look really good.

Queen glad you like the lipstick. Hope the hangover has cleared.

Yay, Dry, the east wing is nearly completed.

Phew, that's a long post! Hope I haven't mussed anyone out.

Fedupnagging · 24/10/2014 17:43

'Missed' not mussed!

maradesbois · 24/10/2014 17:53

Hi Everyone,

One oh no, your poor hair. Definitely ban dsis from coming near it in future.

Blair enjoy the boat, once you're there am sure that keeping warm is going to take over from any doubts about wearing fleece!

Shop glad you had a lovely time in town with ds. Must say I've been pleasantly surprised my how lovely people are to ds on tube etc.

Momin love the sound of your style and think that yours is definitely the way that Linus should wear leather.

Had a lovely London day today, bought a gift for a friend at Jo Loves which is Jo Malone's new venture. Apparently she had an enforced break after selling her company to Estée Lauder but is now back. The SAs were lovely and took ds round the store getting him to smell different fragrances and guess what they were. It was positively educational! Also went to visit a school and while don't think it's 'the one' feels good to have made a start on getting ready for The Big Move.

Going out for dinner tonight with dh's colleagues, not dressy so going to wear black Leigh skinnies, pistols (tks for MW heads up btw Shop, going to check it out), zara cream silk shirt with really fine knit 3/4 sleeve pale grey cashmere sweater.

Santa how crap about your phone. I had to pay over £200 to get my broken 5 replaced recently then they brought the 6 out the same week. Didn't lose any data though it all transferred via cloud. Are you sure it can't be retrieved?

maradesbois · 24/10/2014 18:13

Haha, I thought that you got the MW discount % wrong Blair 'spreadsheet' Waldorf and said to myself surely it's 40% but of course you're correct Blush. Still, the burgundy Acne Colts I love are £267 down from £420, very tempting...

Drywhiteplease · 24/10/2014 18:53

santa project will be complete w/c 10/11... Wardrobes are being fitted then. Will take pics.

Started packing at 4pm... Left for holiday 6pm!!!! Shock have packed "light"...

Karbea · 24/10/2014 19:01

dry I always start packing a couple of hours before we leave. I don't really think about what I'm packing, always pack too much and often things that don't go together.
Used to drive my girlfriends mad when I was single, as weeks before they'd hang up outfits, day by day...

Fedupnagging · 24/10/2014 19:07

Blair and Dry have a lovely time away.

Mara enjoy tonight

Queen nice top.

I am going to be sofa surfing tonight and will be showcasing my grey Nike yoga pants and grey pineapple hoody. Will accessorise with fluffy pink socks and a glass of dry white!
