Gorgeous! Love the colour.

Karbea · 22/10/2014 21:22

Beautiful.

libertychick · 22/10/2014 21:28

Oh lovely bag Novice. That should take the edge of feeling poorly Smile.

Everything went well today, I am exhausted though. Just had a bath with scented candles etc but it was almost too much - does anyone else love the idea of a hot bath but then feel a bit light headed after it?

One sounds like you had a full on day, hope the rest of the week is easier.

Momin and Dry enjoy your vino. It is rare to hear Dry sounding stressed...half term isn't too far away now.

And I was Grin Grin that my morning musings about all the hipster chaps got you all talking!!!

Blair more details on the dress buying moment please! Was your Mum with you? Did you/she cry? Have you got it home with you or does it need alterations? blatant vicarious wedding enjoyment

Sleep Shock Why are you not there too???

BrandyAlexander · 22/10/2014 21:28

Sorry took so long! Am hopeless at this stuff then realised I wanted to reveal the bag not my house Grin. I once posted a picture of the dcs looking cute on Facebook and the first thing someone said was "cute kids. ooh you have a wine fridge!" Shock. Anyway, the bag has cheered me right up after a miserable day coughing on 5 hours worth of conference calls. Colour is perfect. :) right, off to read the thread now!

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 22/10/2014 21:31

Yay novice finally! Worth waiting for :)

Topaz so glad you had a lovely day, outfit sounds great and well done to your DS. You must be so proud!

QueenC I missed your post about your FIL earlier. Sorry to hear it and I'm sure your MIL will appreciate you helping.

My colour scheme is coral and gold (and cream/white), I have 3 bridesmaids (my 2 sisters and future SIL) and my next task will be to find them dresses! It's not the season for coral maxis though!

I will link my dress again for Karbea :) here It is way way way more sparkly in real life. Also they had the proper samples today, so I didn't have to squeeze into a 6, and it looked a lot better.

Thanks for all the previous dress chat and today's comments :) Thanks

libertychick · 22/10/2014 21:34

Topaz your outfit for today sounded perfect. Congratulations.

Fedup I have seen that Next furry gillet in some of their ads and it does look good.

Betty I am always, always losing posts, drives me nuts. Are you coming to the MU BTW?

Stokey good to see you, was wondering where you have been? Any further developments with work?

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 22/10/2014 21:38

Lib my mum wasn't there, but she was the first time I tried it. My sister was, my style advisor Wink It will be altered, I have ordered it and they're going to make it and then my first fitting will be 5 weeks before the wedding.

Didn't cry, I am extremely unromantic. I was just like "Hmm, well, I'll go for it" but I do love it!

Oh and I am not wearing a veil, it's not really me (see above) Grin

The shoe hunt begins...!

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 22/10/2014 21:41

And I'm glad your presentation went well :) I hate hot baths, always get a sweaty face, not fun. Shower all the way!

Karbea · 22/10/2014 21:41

blair your dress is absolutely gorgeous!
Are you going it get actual bridesmaid dresses or maxi dresses? Colour scheme sounds great.

liberty I always think I've read everything! but seem to miss things too.
queenc I missed about your fil too, sorry.

Sleepwhenidie · 22/10/2014 21:43

Hey Lib glad today was ok, yep, totally with you on the bath thing , I rarely have one and always make it too hot!

Novice beautiful bag

I am not at MOBOs probably because 2 yrs ago we accepted then had to pull out because it was in Manchester and DH had to fly from London early the next day. Last year we said no because it was in Glashow and we cba, this year so I think maybe they figured it would be another wasted invite Sad. Keep spotting DH on TV!

libertychick · 22/10/2014 21:47

Thanks for all the extra detail Blair, I'd have preferred tears but it will do Grin - am very excited for you!

Now I need the house proud people - that's you, Dry and Novice (and lots of others I am sure) - what is the best way to clean carpet? I need details on products and tools. My cream carpet is looking a bit tired in 'high traffic' areas....

Sleepwhenidie · 22/10/2014 21:47

Sad too about FIL Queen, my family have been through it a couple of times, it's very tough.

QueenCardigan · 22/10/2014 21:48

It's lovely novice, really like the colour.
blair I'm sure elie saab did coral this season...

I've been busy pinning wedding outfits. Can't remember who wanted a hat though?

Enjoy your wine, those of you having it. Like mara I am on a fast day but shall make up for it tomorrow night.

I'm sure I've missed mentioning loads that I should but I truly am brain dead now. One day left of school. Hurrah.

libertychick · 22/10/2014 21:49

Oh boo to MOBO organisers Sleep. They are missing out not having you there Smile

Drywhiteplease · 22/10/2014 21:56

Blair I missed that you'd founded the dress. This is fab news. Your colour scheme sounds classy.

liberty you made me choke up a little bit Smile.

Carpets......my specialist subject at the moment gosh I'm so sad :

For big areas I usually get the pros in but it's not cheap.
I was in Johnsons dry cleaners yesterday ...they have an offer at the mo to hire a cleaner for 24hrs for£15, solution for 2 rooms approx £15. Tempting. But I'm not sure I trust myself.
For small stains you can't beat Chemdry "stain extinguisher" carbonated cleaner. It is miraculous honestly.

Drywhiteplease · 22/10/2014 21:57

Fab bag Novice

BrandyAlexander · 22/10/2014 22:00

Right, read back now, busy day!

Blair so happy for you about the dress! Your shoes have to be comfortable, don't do the skyscrapers if you can't stand for 5 hours in them!! Underwear, I got Rigby & Peller. Expensive but lush. Dh loved the garter.Wink

QueenC so sad about your dfil.Sad

FedUp, I love that Next top. I don't have the body shape to carry it off (short waisted) but it's lovely. You reminded me that I used to take dd to parent and baby class every week. Our after class treat was m&co and used to get loads for her from there.

One your outfit today sounded fab, take it easy.

Mom and Dry you poor poor things! Hope you're nice and relaxed now!

Topaz congrats to you all! Lovely outfit.

Lib so glad it went well x

Gutted for you Sleep!

Hello to everyone else as that's all my tired brain can remember!!

Drywhiteplease · 22/10/2014 22:02

Oh I missed p12 ..... Hmm

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 22/10/2014 22:02

Oh stop it QueenC Grin

Thanks Karbea - not sure on bridesmaids, I have read that the dedicated bridesmaid suppliers can be poor quality for the price, but they do have the most choice and I think it might be a bit late waiting for s/s clothes to come into shops (in Jan/Feb? And wedding is April!)
