So glad you got that dress Blair. You are going to be such a gorgeous bride! Now onto shoes etc!

MarshaBrady · 22/10/2014 17:46

Blair it's coming together, how exciting!

Here's some hair inspiration from Vogue.

Better than the hair are the actual pics, there are some gorgeous wedding shots in there.

MarshaBrady · 22/10/2014 17:47

I love that Linus. Especially last pic, you're right it looks fantastic.

Santa sounds brilliant.

Mominatrix · 22/10/2014 18:19

Hipsters - don't really encounter them much in my world. However, there is a husband of a fellow mum (hipster herself) whose husband is very much facial-hair-wearing-hipster type (and an in-the-news designery sort). I'll let you all know when he finally shaves - that will really be the death-bell of hipster facial hair.

V jealous of this wedding stuff. I HATED everything about my wedding except the venue (Brittany on the Cote D'Amour) right by the sea. Once we said we were getting married, everything seemed to be taken out of my hands, especially as I was working crazy hours and the location was a continent away in the sticks. Ah well, it all ended up well in the end.

Queen - really sorry about your FIL. Must really be tough on everyone.

Linus - I love Uniqlo and live in their Heattech things. Not quite cold enough for me to start wearing it, but when it is, I live in them (even sleep in them).

Liberty - how did it go?

novice - coughs are exhausting, and seem to last much longer than the cold which caused them. Loads of warm honey lemon ginger teas are what I rely upon to get over them. Sending loads of good health wishes your way.

I'm off to have a large glass of wine. Have spent all day today with 4 screaming 6 year olds with the Star Wars soundtrack blasting in the background. DH is off sick, and he is in shock due the the noise and mess - well, welcome to my world.

LinusDKD · 22/10/2014 19:01

queenc the sizing seems true to size as the S fits me well but I like my layering tees quite tight fitting.

I might have to order more but as they don't deliver here I will have to send it to DMIL or DM.

So far I'm happy with the superfine merino jumper as well but apparently you can machine wash it so that will be the real test.

mominatrix I think you deserve some Wine after that.

MarshaBrady · 22/10/2014 19:01

Haha Momin your last line made me laugh, I say that to dh when he's presented with more child related stuff.

Drywhiteplease · 22/10/2014 19:24

lol Liberty how rude!!!!! But I agree, beards are taking over. It makes me laugh really to think ten years ago any young man with a beard would have got >Shock reaction. And it's so ageing. But does suit a lot of them in a rugged, Neanderthal wayGrin.

Not like me to be sensible Blair is it? I always try to remember Mara saying when she joined I was madly saving for my handbag impressive self control, unusual as you all know then when I'd got it I went I went bonkers spending again!!! Grin I try to be good! it's hard.

Finally, moan alert* I've had one of those days rare for me when I feel so stressed I feel I could choke. Everything is reaching a head and I just need it to be Saturday so it will stop. Nothing serious though. A glass of Wine will make me feel better I'm sure.

MarshaBrady · 22/10/2014 19:26

Yes Liberty where are you? Look what you started Grin. How was it today?

For Dry and Momin Wine

Karbea · 22/10/2014 19:27

blair how exciting about your dress! Can't wait to hear about all the details.

OneLittleLady · 22/10/2014 19:31

mom you definitely deserve that Wine!!

QueenC I am so sorry to hear about FIL, it must be so tough on you all Sad

Dry deep breaths for you too and a nice Wine or two if you dare risk it on a school night

I have collected a load of charity bags for AgeUk and I shall be tackling my wardrobe/shoe boxes this weekend! anything too big/unliked/unloved/notsureof will be gone. They have told me if I ring the shop and let them know i'm done, they will send someone out to collect them from me.

Topazandpearl · 22/10/2014 20:18

Catching up on the train home after a fantastic day at DS's graduation. Felt very, very proud of him and all the young people who had worked so hard. The weather was lovely so I wore my aubergine Me&Em dress, a mustard Hobbs jacket, black opaques and pointy toed, skinny heel shoe boots. I also have a silk scarf in shades of aubergine with gold thread which goes well. Saw all styles of dress (in the mums) from top to toe Chanel to fleece and track suit bottoms! Most were smart though.
Lol 'ing at the beard chat!
So glad you got your dress Blair, you sound very excited.
One and novice and anyone else who is sick, I hope you get better soon.
Liberty do ease up on stress if you can. (I think it goes with the heritage to want to be all things to all people and it doesn't always do us good).
Mom and Karbea, hello! Looking forward to getting to 'know' you.
Queen my DF has dementia and it is a horrible, horrible condition. I'm sure your DMIL will appreciate your support.

I'm sure I wanted to respond to more of you, but if I scroll back, I'll lose this, so waves to all.

Fedupnagging · 22/10/2014 20:27

I have just spent a good hour looking at pictures on WWD and Vogue linked by Marsha and Santa. I noticed from the pics of London fashion week, no beardy blokes, so obviously beards are now passé!

Loved Farah Fawcett Majors wedding hair style (I am a child of the 70's) and read the lovely article Anna Wintour wrote about Ocsar de la Renta.

Mom and Dry have some more Wine. Guess your half term is next week Dry same as mine. Yippee.

Enjoy your few days out and about with dsil and nieces Shop.

Fedupnagging · 22/10/2014 20:36

These rockstud alikes from Sam Edelman are winging their way to my wardrobe.

I have been after them for a while but couldn't get hold of any in the summer when we were in the US and any I have found in the UK are either not my size or end up oos. Finally I nabbed a pair from Ebay in the US. Am very pleased so hope they are as nice in rl!

Sleepwhenidie · 22/10/2014 20:41

Whey hey well done Blair on finding and buying The One. Bet that's a huge weight off your mind.

QueenC sorry to hear about dFIL you too Topaz bet you were full to burst today at ds graduation.

Fedup great shoes & a good ebay find.

QueenC love your tee, really unusual. Hope all goes well next week.

Blair yay! So glad you went for it. A stunning dress.

Amber nice cocktails anywhere suitable for MU?

Have been packing tonight for a few days in beardy-hipsterville London. Dh is definitely not amongst them but maybe am missing out there... Smile. Loads of plans to catch up with various friends so should be a fun weekend. Would love to join Dry and Mom for some Wine tonight but on a fast day.
