I need a lovely leather biker jacket for my mid-life crisis. Please help.

That's it really. I want to wear doc martens and a leather jacket (and probably some other clothes too, I wouldn't want to shock the neighbours). There are no decent shops nearby, so online it will have to be. I have quite long arms and find lots of jackets can be a bit short on me. I'm 5' 9" so it would have to be on the longer side as I don't want to be showing midriff.

Soft leather would be nice too (so not a real biker jacket afterall).

Please help!

Levi surprisingly do some very nice ones, have you had a look on-line?
I also like Sienna Miller's Twenty8Twelve and Whistles, although they don't seem as hard wearing.

I have tried to look, but I'm not really sure where to start. Things can look good online, but insiders know they are poor quality.

I really wanted a real leather one but couldn't afford it so bought a pretend leather one from next. It's quilted and I love it and have worn it so much I've now decided I need to save for a leather one!

Pricey but All Saints leather jackets are lovely.

I don't mind spending a bit more if it's a jacket that I can wear until it falls apart.

I have monkey arms, honestly freakishly long. The oasis one I bought was long enough in arm length.

If you want an absolute bargain, H and M do a fab imitation leather jacket(lovely and soft and great quality) and it's on sale for 12 quid! I bought mine a few months ago and it's awesome! I too have ape-arms and it fits well

I am 5ft 10 with wide shoulders & long arms but the sleeves on this are plenty long enough for me. It's lovely and soft and a bit of a bargain too - I get loads of compliments when I wear it

The most promising thing about the Barneys jacket is all the comments saying "I had to return it, the sleeves are too long, no good for short people" :o
