Sleep I saw an ad for that in the metro on tue. Their dresses are a bit boho for me (assuming they will have their bridal range in the sale, maybe it's separate)

Well done betty, woohoo!

QueenC I have been meaning to try my new aquazzuras with my boyfriend jeans but not sure when I would wear that combo (or even bf jeans really) on a night out, I like wearing dresses usually. Maybe if it was just out for a meal.

Have a great weekend One, bet you can't wait to have a proper catch up with DP :)

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 19/09/2014 11:45

Oh and I will be wearing my shoe boots to work with opaques or under wide leg trousers. Not sure about with cigarette pants/skinnies, will have to try.

bettykt · 19/09/2014 11:51

Thank you for the congratulations, I’m touched Thanks

Queen I’m planning on wearing them to work with a pencil skirt or a dress but will wear them out too as I think they’re quite versatile. Thanks re the dvf dress I may be brave enough to turn up at the MU now I have something half decent to wear

Shop, hope the ABs are doing their job and you’re starting to feel better. My fridge contents are a bit like yours, always has wine, olives and lots of cheese.

One have a great weekend in London with dp. I bet you feel relieved that your first week is over. Hope you get to meet some lovely people on your course.

Mara I too am jealous at your good TK Maxx I have a rubbish one near me, never anything decent for me although they have some good clothing for the dc. I usually just browse their homeware dept. in search of some Circulon pans.

Linus hope you have a good shopping trip, did you link the Manolos? Envy

Sleep am loving your advice on the other thread, I love the sound of your style and you’ve got me wanting grey cashmere now, thought I wanted a beige one before.

Have decided I’m going to keep the dress, it’s always good to have a LBD to hand if needed. Think I’ve sourced my pleather skirt but will buy it first then link, I’ve learnt my lesson. Grin

Just been to the gym after SR so wasn't looking too glam this morning, obviously I will shower and put on clothes that match for pick up. I always wear a cuff, lipstick and perfume, nothing ott. I ditched the jeans n Converse uniform last year when I started reading S&B so I try to wear shoes, sandal, boots or NB trainers on my feet.

Sleepwhenidie · 19/09/2014 12:11

Blair I tried some very classy wedding gowns on (7 years ago tho), not all boho. Bridal is included in the sale so may be worth a peek.

QueenCardigan · 19/09/2014 12:21

betty do join us. If you like prosecco you'll fit right in. Am I right in thinking you were a sahm? Do you need new clothes for work?

My fridge also has jams, marmalade so and various salad dressings if only dh could use up one jar before opening another I would be a happy wife. The wine chiller is always full of wine, beer and cider though. If heaven forbid I ever run out of white wine I can always rely on my neighbour having some.

maradesbois · 19/09/2014 13:10

Blair I've struggled with bad train wifi for 15mins to get on here to say you'd look amazing in temperley bridal. Smile I could so see you looking a little bit ethereal but not boho. Agree with Sleep that the wedding dresses are beautiful & different to the main label.

maradesbois · 19/09/2014 13:18

Also Shop poor you re dentist, hope you get sorted quickly and painlessly.

Betty well done on getting the job! Glad to hear you are keeping the dress.

QueenC I don't have shoe boots as such but very low ankle boots that wear for evenings with black shorts, opaques & silk shirt.

OneLittleLady · 19/09/2014 14:07

sat outside liberty.i will be making my visit there shortly!!Grin Grin Grin

Stokey · 19/09/2014 14:19

Ooh One You'll love the perfume department.

Congratulations Betty. I wore skinnies and converse on SR this morning, the shame! I did have my jungle print jacket and a bit of lippy on though, and my converse are trainers rather than boots, not sure if that excuses me. Still I dress for work the other days.

Ow on the dental work Shop, I still have unresolved wisdom teeth issues.

AmberNectarine · 19/09/2014 14:38

Have surprised myself by loving it actually QueenC! Enjoying being around for the DCs, plus a little bit of time to myself every day (even if I do mostly squander it on domestic chores). Just on way back from town after lunch with DH - nice Friday treat!

Wearing double denim, tan Marant dicker rip offs from New Look and navy Disco. Oh, and bright red lippy, natch.

MarshaBrady · 19/09/2014 14:47

Well done Betty!

Sounds good Amber.

Gotta say I too am very much enjoying all dc at school but with flexible work from home. Going to be two days a week for a while. This I can handle, very nice indeed.

MarshaBrady · 19/09/2014 14:48

Betty And yes do come along to the MU! I love the DvF dress too.

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 19/09/2014 15:27

Thank you mara, it's really nice to have that sort of semi-objective opinion :) I was looking at lots of dresses last night and ended up wondering if even I knew my own style!
I don't think I could make the temperley sale though, I'm at work and got 20 min drive home, 10 min walk to station and 35 min train journey into town before I even get on the tube. And it ends at 8 and today's the last day!

I can't remember if I mentioned it but I'm going to the wedding show at ExCeL tomorrow so that will be fun.

MarshaBrady · 19/09/2014 15:59

Blair yes I think Mara has got it, Temperley bridal would look beautiful on you. Ethereal is the word! Delicate and stunning. Have fund tomorrow.

I am deeply contemplating whether I should finally buy a blazer.

It would be a Marant one, navy, straight style. Perhaps I should.

MarshaBrady · 19/09/2014 16:00

Fun! Not fund

Awks · 19/09/2014 16:04

Marsha so am I. I can picture a grey one but something is making me hang back. Off in an hour to get a fringe cut back in after 5 years. Am aiming for this

OneLittleLady · 19/09/2014 16:18

two notable style disasters.one lady in leather knee high boots, leather leggings AND a leather mini skirt and the couple in matching, oversize white denim jackets.

santamarianovella · 19/09/2014 16:22

marsha you should , I know which one you mean, I've just tried it myself today, but nooooo! Bad on me,
I went and tried the pistols today, and my god! They totally look horrible on me , they looked too chunky when I took a sideway pic Sad, I really like the style was very disappointed,

Fedupnagging · 19/09/2014 16:23

Yes, wish my tkmaxx had better stock too.

Just found this leather skirt - not sure you've tried this one yet dry probably the only one! Maybe too long for you though.

Bettyk congrats on landing the job. Will we be seeing lots of workwear links?

Blair have fun tomorrow. You are so stylish am sure you will find 'the one' but you do need to try on loads to get an idea of what suits you and that you like.

Have been given 20% discount code for M&S that needs to be used. Trouble is there is not a lot I like in there - apart from Shop's coat obviously! Think I will stock up on opaques, underwear and socks for dh.

MarshaBrady · 19/09/2014 16:27

Santa Nooo! I fear the same fate for me on both accounts!

The pistols I want to love them but maybe they give me clown feet. Blasted dh has thrown out the paperwork but I still gave the box and haven't worn outside. I'm so torn now. Why do they put the bobbly end on the boot, curse you acne you so nearly do a perfect boot. And breathe. Ok I'm going to try them again.

Awks fab haircut.

One that is funny.

santamarianovella · 19/09/2014 16:40

marsha I went to a boutique that stocks acne and other desginers, the equivalent of matches,a stylist who works there told me that not many people are suited for the pistols, and told me that marant boots are better for me, I loved the dickers but I don't think they are warm enough, they look like spring boots, the tall chess ones are much better, but my size is sold out , so I will source it elsewhere.so I'm bootless!

The blazer is so you, when i saw it i though of you instantly, its not good on me,because its a bit long and I need to wear heels with it, to balance it out, but you don't need heels, but do size down they are huge,

shopafrolic · 19/09/2014 16:48

Fedup buy the coat!
I wonder if I'm not suited to Pistols after all that then!? Confused

So, I have had a successful lot of high street store internet purchases delivered.

Lulu for Uniqlo sweat is a keeper. It comes up a little big but the next size down would be too snug so am hoping it'll shrink a little being cotton. Same goes for the plain grey Fab quality for the price, and I won't mind if they are wrecked in a year.
I'm also keeping the TS Leigh black skinnies. The ones with the rips were hideous on me - my knees bulges out of the rips very unattractively so I have gone for the bog standard black. Surprisingly soft. I went for the 30, could ideally do with a 29 but they only do even sizes and I think a 28 is ambitious. Hope they don't sag too much.......

MarshaBrady · 19/09/2014 17:03

Shop I reckon you are one of the few who can.

Still not sure what to do, but if I send them back I am bootless. Well I have the suede pettys but they are hopeless in the rain.

santamarianovella · 19/09/2014 17:03

I did try the rock studs in antique rose ,sooooo beautiful ,I didn't want to take them off, I had the hardest time convincing myself I don't need a third pairBlush

shop they look amazing on you,its more suited for tall people as opposed to not so tall ones, I can't even show you the sideways pic I took ,they literally looked like clown shoes on me! And from what I remember you looked great sideways,

Dental work uggh
My fridge freezer is supposed to be frost free but once a year makes a hideous noise that I ignore until it sounds as if it's going to take off....have just had to empty it into the garage Booze ff, annoying.
Fedup that skirt looks a bit long for me! nice though.
Temperley does sound good for you Blair
