115 days to go

Here we go!

Blondie, it might be muscle not fat. muscle burns more energy than fat so the more you build it the more it contributes to weight loss in the long run.

TeaAddict235 · 04/09/2014 22:35

all the best for rest tonight helga and biddy, already brought DS into our bed which means no exercises on bedroom floor before bed.

blondiebonce · 04/09/2014 22:47

Helga - in fairness, 3 layers.

Orangey - I hope you're right :( it's probably that or I'm eating more than I thought and moving less :(

PinkSquash · 04/09/2014 23:17

Oh I could do with this as I've put on a lot of weight in the holidays as I have no willpower, at all so:

Considerate eating and portion control
Plucking and general hair removal
Good dental routine
2l of water a day
Less tea
Plan winter clothing better than usual
Take care of skin
Exercise 3x a week
Sleep earlier

111 days to go

A decent nights sleep!

OP posts:
lucyintheskywithdinos · 05/09/2014 08:48

Morning!

orangey that sounds do-able and yes, evening snacking is eeeeeevil.

helga hurrah for sleep!

I did not have a good nights sleep. Had the exH yelling and swearing at me, so drank a glass of Prosecco and rang my sister for a chat...which went on until late! However, I am going to go out dancing with her next week. Went for a 3 mile run last night which was great.

Today, oil cleansing, shower, taking the DDs for a giant park walk, green tea and yoga.

Has anyone got any exciting plans for the weekend? I'm off to town tomorrow (ex has the DDs) to do a wardrobe update, will go for a run then out for dinner and drinks with my lovely boyfriend.

SteveBrucesNose · 05/09/2014 09:42

Morning!

I've had a setback in my start to this, due to being ill.

However, I have managed to cook 3 of the 5 nights this week and only drank alcohol once, a bottle of champagne to celebrate my new nephew Smile

I've managed 4 of my fifteen.

Hopefully feeling better now so onwards and upwards for next week

Helgathehairy · 05/09/2014 10:01

lucy hope you're ok after your run in with exH. Is he always like that? You definitely deserved a drink.

steve take things easy till you're sure you have recovered bit sounds like you're doing well.

No plans for the weekend. Have a feeling DH will be working on our patio most of tomorrow. Sunday going to in laws for dinner.

I've started eating healthily again, drinking plenty of water and taking my vitamins. I have my first exercise class tomorrow morning which I'm quite looking forward to. I'm doing Boogie Bounce, has anyone tried it?

Pinkfrocks · 05/09/2014 10:13

Oh FGS! Xmas is 1 day out of 365- why the need for this NOW when it's months away? Why the need anyway? Just don't get it.

OrangeyTulips · 05/09/2014 10:25

For me it's not so much Christmas as the end of the year. It takes time to adjust to new habits and then see results and I don't want to crash diet. It's more anonymous than weight watchers and I enjoy hearing what others are doing. I'm picking up tips and the posters seem to be a supportive bunch. It's just a bit of fun Smile

OrangeyTulips · 05/09/2014 10:35

Those jeans and jackets are definitely going on 31 Dec...

Helga I'm originally from the east coast of Ireland but now living on the east coast of Scotland. Weather has turned here a bit but got my walk in. We have a sea mist called the haar here which was around yesterday. Really spooky at Halloween!

blondiebonce · 05/09/2014 11:43

Pinkfrocks it's just a day to aim for because having a set date in sight helps some people. Is that ok?

Ladyofthehouse · 05/09/2014 11:47

I started on Monday and not done too bad....

Exercise every day
Drank 2 litres water every day
More fruit and veg....about 6 or 7 a day
No crisps!
And no alcohol....woohoo!
On Wednesday was in bed by 9 too!

Not doing so well on the beauty front though.....have been moisturising including hands and feet but nails, hair etc haven't really started yet! Early days though! Dd1 started school this week but only mornings and dd2 starts nursery next week so will have more time!

Sounds like everyone else is doing well! I do feel so much more awake!

LairyPoppins · 05/09/2014 12:22

Hello, please can I join?

I have 4 year old twins and a 3 week old and have totally let myself go.

I have 6 stone to lose too - am ebf baby so that should help but looking after myself is also key for me - I put myself last and eat junk on the run. I want to lose 2 stone by Christmas by making small changes every day.

My list

  1. 5 pints of water a day
  2. Using some kind of regenerative face cream once a day
  3. Taking a walk every day
  4. All snacks to be fresh fruit or veg
  5. Healthy breakfast daily.
  6. No alcohol during the week
  7. One early night once a week. Suggest 9PM.
  8. Regular hair removal
  9. Chocolate only once a week
10. No night time snacking during feeds!
OrangeyTulips · 05/09/2014 12:51

lairy hi there. Gosh you must be busy with your little ones. I have fond memories of walking fast with the buggy.

Helgathehairy · 05/09/2014 13:33

pink feel free not to join in. I fail to see the point of coming on the thread just to scoff at people. Why waste your time?

OP posts:
PinkSquash · 05/09/2014 14:57

Shock I thought I had posted something horrid then, but thankfully I didn't.

No need for others to come on and piss on chips tbh.

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 05/09/2014 15:01

At this time of year , when I start thinking about nice and glamorous things that I won't buy (like nail varnish and perfume)

But I want nice comforting moisturising shower gels and bath foams (too lazy to use body lotion)
My neck is looking a tad crepey now so I need to invest in a good moisturiser .

I love Autumn and Winter , the clothes , the wrapping up, pretending I'm all glam'n'stylish (which TBH, I cannot do in a strappy top )

Smilesandpiles · 05/09/2014 15:10

No need for others to come on and piss on chips tbh

Like you did?

Smilesandpiles · 05/09/2014 15:11

Sorry - ignore that, got confused with the posters names.

Helgathehairy · 05/09/2014 16:07

pinkSQUASH not you!! Abbreviation fail for me.

OP posts:
Helgathehairy · 05/09/2014 20:59

lady it's all about the baby steps. I've only managed about half my list this week.
lairy sounds like you have your hands full!

OP posts:
TeaAddict235 · 05/09/2014 21:21

hey ladies, wow, well done! you all sound so motivated already.
welcome newbies!

So today I had BIG plans to do a lot being a Friday and all; but DS had other plans.
Did manage to walk to and from town to the market. Took the hilly route there and the scenic route through the park for DS on the way back.
drank a BF tea to the end- hurrah.
put on a face mask for about 3 minutes in the bath until DH came in with DS, at which point I jumped out did a quick moisturise (was planning to use a nice cream but DS was getting hysterical and sweating), so no hair mask today.

sending you lots of admiration lairy with the full house and little ones. Ebf will definetly help shift weight if that's what you want.

am eating a carrot while I type and wait for dinner (spag bol). Tomorrow planning on working in the garden.

blondiebonce · 05/09/2014 21:51

You guys are so motivated! Not doing well so far :( please may I have a kick up the bottom?
