Continuing. From here some of us may have jetted off to far flung foreign parts, but we're still friendly, fabulous even in the heat wave and full of frivolous fashion talk. Come and join us Smile

I don't think NB are right for running.

LinusDKD · 06/08/2014 19:00

I saw some NB's on sale in colours I love but I just wanted to know whether they can be used for running if they don't look good with any of my outfits.

Not sure I am cool enough to pull them off.

Great boots shop they look like the perfect colour for you.

marsha the Chloé coat is on Santa's pin as she wanted to know what we would buy off her wishlist.

Love the shape of the Acne skirt, might look if they have it in black.

And sure, the DC are cute [smug mum] but cuteness wears off quickly after a day weeks of tantrums and not listening.

Right, one child in bed, one child to go.

Then Wine and I might even completely bugger up the fast and have dessert.

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 06/08/2014 19:07

santa the Givenchy boots are my favourite, love them.

So I just got the Roland Mouret email inviting me to shop early tomorrow from 8am?! I am so so confused. But at least I don't have to get up early Grin

MarshaBrady · 06/08/2014 19:08

Ah! penny drops! my one was for my AW. I need to look at Santas pin.

Doh

MarshaBrady · 06/08/2014 19:13

Santa yes the Givenchy boots! Divine.

shopafrolic · 06/08/2014 20:17

Boooooooooooooooootsssssss (saying it again as I love them so)

shopafrolic · 06/08/2014 20:18

Do any of you lovely ladies know of any decent hotels in Bournemouth? DH is there on business soon and the company will pay for DS and I to go down for two nights too. Not sure which are good as Trip Advisor is a bit hit and miss on many of them.

libertychick · 06/08/2014 20:22

Shopping update - the Asos trousers are awful. Actually I'll be fair, the shape is good but the material is just plain nasty. I am very unimpressed with The Frugality for recommending them.

DVF bag is lovely but strangely just not right for me. So it's going back too. And I really don't need another bag MNV heresy I know

I feel cleansed and virtuous with all my wallet friendly returns Smile

LinusDKD · 06/08/2014 20:23

Am I the only one watching the GBBO? Mmmm Swiss Roll!

libertychick · 06/08/2014 20:26

We stayed in a hotel there a few years ago Shop but I cannot remember the name - we found it hard to find a hotel then too - hit and miss reviews and the one we picked was only just ok. Sorry, not helpful.

libertychick · 06/08/2014 20:27

Are you having some dessert and wine Linus or just taunting yourself with GBBO? Smile

LinusDKD · 06/08/2014 20:34

Wine, check.

Dessert, check.

Stress levels down slightly, check.

LinusDKD · 06/08/2014 20:35

I might have to change my fast day (usually Wednesday) for as long as the GBBO is on. Wink

libertychick · 06/08/2014 20:39

Sounds like a sensible decision!

Drywhiteplease · 06/08/2014 21:04

Santa Celine rust coloured tote....gorgeous.
Am sending a pm.
X Thanks
Bought some very nice bathroom tiles today. Just saying. Smile

Santa definitely Chloé coat for me. Have a great holiday!

Linus I wouldn't wear the NB for sports but do like them, can see them styled like Liberty's Frugality link from the other day.

Have had a lovely day out with dsis, browsing round shops and a lovely lunch including truffle and parmesan chips, will be dreaming of them on my fast day tomorrow! Got plenty of ideas for a/w and mentally spent £££ but but only actually bought a little white co cushion for ds's bedroom. Saw a gorgeous Joseph forest green cashmere wrap coat. Was set on a camel coat but really fell in love with this one, will link later.

maradesbois · 06/08/2014 21:45

Liberty that's a shame about your shopping, I was happy by proxy about those purchases, particularly the dvf bag but good on you being so decisive.

maradesbois · 06/08/2014 21:49

Joseph coat. Don't think the pic really does it justice, fabric is gorgeous irl and so soft even though have just realised is only 40% cashmere. Going on wish list.

BrandyAlexander · 06/08/2014 22:57

evening all!

drinks tonight overlooking the Thames. very tired and just want to be in my bed. wore red Austin Reed signature dress with capped sleeves and Hepburn leopard skin bag by aspinal and louboutins. my feet hurt!!!

Lib you genuinely can't beat a beautiful bra that fits well. It's known as a win winWink

libertychick · 06/08/2014 22:59

Really beautiful coat Mara. Perfect for you. It was a shame about the DVF bag. It's lovely but I had instant ' not for me' feeling as soon as I put it on.

The shape of the Asos trousers was good. I am definitely on the market for some slouchy trousers this A/W to wear with shirt or fitted sweater and either converse or brogues.

OneLittleLady · 06/08/2014 23:00

evening all

novice your evening sounds lovely

tooth is fixed, just a bit tender from them getting in to fix it, I have a very small jaw, child size the dentist says so they have to use the children's tools on me as they can't get in with the standard size stuff! it's a bit of a faff as it takes them extra time to do it because everything's smaller. i have had that particular filling for many years though so maybe it just gave up clinging on!

santamarianovella · 07/08/2014 00:06

Glad tooth is fixed one ,
mara the coat is beautiful,

Thanks all, I'm afraid there is no way I can afford the boots, Sad it's either marant sweater or maybe Chloe jacket,

I'm absolutely shattered, night all!

AmberNectarine · 07/08/2014 06:49

Louboutins are so uncomfortable novice I only wear mine for very short periods these days!

BrandyAlexander · 07/08/2014 08:43

Amber yes I agree. If there are a pair of shoes I have ever regretted getting, it would have to be them. look great, hurt like hell! they were client drinks and I was stood for hours!

one glad you got your tooth looked at straight away!

so tonight when we get home we will finally have new carpets in the ours and the dcs bedrooms plus our dressing room.

I have escaped and left dh to work from home. at home are 3 removal men, 2 decorators, 2 carpet fitters will be there soon, our gardener and our housekeeper/nanny. I practically run out of the door!!

shopafrolic · 07/08/2014 08:49

Morning all - I read something the other day where Louboutin said he doesn't even consider comfort when designing a shoe - it's all about the aesthetic for him. So I guess that explains everyone's discomfort!
One glad you're fixed
Novice house sounds as though it's really coming along now - how exciting.
Dry how are things going with your work?
Santa have a wonderful break - Marant sweater for me from those two choices.
