Right feel better now! So here's my report.....

Everyone looked fab! Yesterday was so much fun. Laughed a lot!! It could have not worked as there were so many of us and also a blend of those of us who have become friends in last year and those for whom it was their first MU. But it really worked :) I hope those who were there for first time felt welcomed and included and want to come to future ones!

shop's Anya bag is lovely and loved her v casual clothes. Shoes looked great, but then later she said they hurt :(
queenc also looked lovely and casual! love her hair too. And just how funny she is Grin.
dry's outfit was also great. Really loved how she took the black top and teamed it with the very colourful skirt. Given me a few ideas I might try, as I am usually scared of skirts. In fact all the skirts were lovely, Blair who is a fresh faced beauty also did colourful skirt.
Everyone knows I have a thing about Marsha's legs and she didn't disappoint. :) Beautiful colourful skirt showing her lusciously long legs and the most gorgeous blue shoes.
Lib also wore a skirt, but black! fitted really nicely and loved the very funky black and white top that went with it.

So, I almost burst out laughing when I met fedup and topaz. Both of them have described themselves as old. In reality both are nothing of the sort, both pretty. Loved fedup's yellow trousers and topaz's broderie top.

I was so glad linus came over. Her yellow nano is gorgeous! Oh and her hair looked lovely even though she said it wasn't as good as the day before! mara does have luscious locks. Looks very thick and a bit like when I first met dry I found myself resisting the urge to stroke her hair. Was worse when she came to sit next to me and I had drank a fair amount of prosecco!! Oh and I think she was blingiest Grin. Loved her rings!

Finally, you all know I appreciate great boobs too. All I can say is Hubba Hubba to sleep, who looked great in her tart dress Grin.

Sleepwhenidie · 06/07/2014 10:03

anyone read ST Style yet? Shop there's an article your DH needs to shown his employers p38 and Laura Weir is wearing a skirt and shoes I think you will like Dry!

Gorgeous day yesterday,so lovely to meet Blair, Mara, Topaz, Fedup and especially (due to the sheer dedication of flying here), Linus. So much fun and everyone looked fabulous.

MarshaBrady · 06/07/2014 10:05

I too woke at 4.00 but just had another sleep and feel loads better tg!

The zoo sad face was so funny but am kicking self for not using full medium and actually putting in the blue face Grin. Laughed so much over that.

It was really lovely, I am getting closer to being able to do a round up.

Topazandpearl · 06/07/2014 10:08

What great write-ups! They really capture the day; I am smiling as I'm reading (and thank you for the kind words, especially novice). I will truthfully be telling people that I spent Saturday in London with friends.

It is a lovely day, so far, here and will be a domestic day (which I like now and then). No style - just rolled up boyfs and a grey tee. Oh and the dreaded FitFlops as those sparkly skaters have given me a blister (which I don't understand as I wore them all over NY with no problems).

Happy Sunday everyone.

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 06/07/2014 12:15

Hello all. Checking in at last Wink - I am feeling a bit delicate today, went straight to bed last night and I needed a big cooked breakfast this morning before I did anything else. Yes I know it's midday!

Everyone else has already said it but yesterday was really so fab, thank you all for inviting me and for making it so much fun. You were just as I expected from the thread and I loved talking to you all! Can't wait for the next one and yes, the MNV hen do!

We were lucky with the weather in the end, no rain after about 11, and as Sleep's pic shows, even sat outside for the last few hours. Couldn't have gone any better really.

Lol at monkeygate, just picturing shop's face in the bars is making me laugh again.

fedup that bag, haha! Very cute, I love it.

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 06/07/2014 12:23

Oh and if anyone wants to add me on facebook then you should be able to find me through shop and QueenC. (I would be flattered! :))

OneLittleLady · 06/07/2014 12:36

MU sounds like it was lovely. Really gutted I couldn't make it but hoping we'll all be able to arrange something later in the year when I will hopefully be able to make it. Everyone sounds like they were very stylish Smile

AmberNectarine · 06/07/2014 13:31

Yes, also sorry to have missed it! Sounds like you all had a fab time!

libertychick · 06/07/2014 13:54

Oh I am in the hell of a very noisy story time session. Was feeling ok this morning but hangover is kicking in now. Some macaroni cheese for lunch has helped

I have several items of clothing Linus brought with her. Will post details later and people can stake their claims (I may have already taken ownership of some lovely cobalt espirit cords ;) )

shopafrolic · 06/07/2014 14:22

Still Eurrrggggghh! Although more knackered than anything TBH. DS still not great so today is 'challenging' to say the least. He was sat at the top of the stairs earlier pearling down at me through the bars of the stair gate and it made me LOL seeing his face through the bars Marsha - I haven't laughed till I cried for a long time!
linus I am wearing your Jimmies today Flowers with an AV tee. Slobbing out watching the Wimbledon final while DS watches Thomas in the next room.
Dry PM me about owning up?

shopafrolic · 06/07/2014 14:23

Oh and I spent the last hour trying to recall who had told us they were old, as no-one seemed old or out of lace yesterday!
Mara are you doing ok?

shopafrolic · 06/07/2014 14:44

Bloody hell - without a word of warning my local Anna store has closed down!? No closing down sale, just gone!

OP posts:
libertychick · 06/07/2014 17:18

That's a shame about Anna Shop. I wonder what happened? I forgot completely about the money for the sweater - don't worry about it - I have pm'd you.

ok - so Linus brought some lovely clothes to share around. Linus I am going to keep the white skirt and the cobalt cords - love them. Up for grabs are:

UK size 12 Landsend white linen trousers - these are lovely and very flattering, I would keep them but they are a fraction too short for me - one they might be just the thing for your trip to Florida next year

Uk size 16 Espirit forest green skinny cords - same as the blue ones I am wearing, I think hope they are a bit small to size - they are Italian 46, French 44.

UK size 14 Espirit comfort slim fit jeans, dark wash, again I have tried and they are lovely, but I have enough jeans for now.

Size 31 James Jeans 'Twiggy', these are lovely and I was also tempted to keep them. They are dark wash, mid rise on me (just under navel)

If anyone wants any of them just pm me and I'll stick them in the post.

AmberNectarine · 06/07/2014 17:54

Am I deluding myself that this could suit me?

MarshaBrady · 06/07/2014 18:03

It would look great on you Amber. With the Wang shoes? What others do you have.

Shop ha at you ds.

Linus how are you doing? Hope all the travelling was ok.

Blair I'm sure we'll all chip in with wedding plans Wink

MarshaBrady · 06/07/2014 18:04

The stair gate visual that is! Hope he's feeling better.

santamarianovella · 06/07/2014 18:07

Don't do it amber, its too girly for you I think, and besides its made of plastic!

Love reading all your posts about MU,hopefully I can do the next one,

MarshaBrady · 06/07/2014 18:11

Oh I missed the fabric, bummer.

Santa your new apartment sounds lovely.

maradesbois · 06/07/2014 18:18

Hello,

Been out at art week all day after meeting a friend for breakfast. No hangover but am exhausted. Dh suggested a prosecco at our local Italian cafe just now and couldn't do it though!

shop thanks again for organising yesterday. Hope ds is feeling a bit better by now. x

A few of my thoughts on the mu as follows:

novice oozes glamour as expected but can can truly rock the bling without looking ott.

sleep and marsha pretty much as described here, tall, slim and leggy but very different styles. Particularly loved shop's anya and bracelets and marsha's GR shoes and effortlessness.

blair will make a beautiful bride and looks fab in yellow gold, can't wait to see the ring. Love the stella skirt.

liberty cool outfit, love that skirt. Great curls and very slim - does herself a disservice on here sometimes.

linus euro chic as expected. Lovely cobalt shoes and leather Hermes bracelet. Thanks for raspberry Paige jeans. They are short in the leg but will turn up to look cropped and if the diet keeps going to plan won't need them for long and will be able to pass on.

sleep has a fabulous London life. Made her dress work brilliantly for daytime.

topaz lovely watch and NYC bag. Also what a coincidence! Will pm when next in your neck of the woods.

queenc hilarious 'stamen' confusion several bottles in! Am following you on pin now. Casual and stylish, made me think about colours.

fedup a lovely lady. Glad I got to chat to you properly later on. Looks good in yellow and nice necklace.

And last but not least...the lovely dry. Polished and chic as expected. Works a pencil skirt to perfection.

Phew, that was a long one. Ds is clamouring for his dinner, will be back later or tomorrow.

AmberNectarine · 06/07/2014 18:19

Basically nothing Marsha - have got a bit slim for my existing wardrobe (and my diamond shoes are too tight). I did think that about the fabric content, but I don't want to spend a bomb on something I won't wear a lot. Is for a wedding so will probably only get the one wear.

I did worry about it being girly. It arrives tomorrow - will post pic for your opinions.

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 06/07/2014 18:37

Am sure you could toughen it up with accessories Amber.

Lovely roundup mara, as expected I am now picturing everyone and reading their posts in their voices! Surreal! Had forgotten the "stamen" conversation... omg Grin I couldn't have drunk any more prosecco today either, shame as we had some congratulatory champagne delivered yesterday.

santa so glad your apartment hunt was successful. It sounds lovely.

Just bought this Paul smith bag for my brother's 21st next week, feeling relieved as he is tough to buy for. (He has just competed in the La Marmotte cycle race and got a gold medal for finishing in under 8 hours, so it's very apt and I'm really proud of him!)

Also I bought the Coast shoes that Belinda and Eve have been raving about. Here They are quite rockstud-esque.

santamarianovella · 06/07/2014 18:37

If its for one occasion then I think its a good idea,it looks perfect for a wedding,
Im just like you, hate, wasting £££ on dresses for weddings, I don't get o wear them again.

MarshaBrady · 06/07/2014 18:40

Yep me too, I didn't buy a new one in the end for the last wedding. I still want a new dress at some point, weird how's there's not much out there.

Mara I love your round up!
