Gucci envy? Omg !

No sign of that parcel One Little Lady but don't worry, I'm sure it will turn up this week

ScienceRocks · 23/03/2014 22:37

Today I wore arquiste boutonnière. Lovely flowery fragrance, apparently gardenia based but also featuring lavender, bergamot and mandarin among others. Lasted well too.

BeCool · 24/03/2014 10:33

This morning DD1 used my Serge Lutens Feminite du Bois as room spray in her bedroom! Liberally!

Shock

It is now kept on the Highest Place.

Stokey · 24/03/2014 10:59

Oh dear BeCool

DD2 (toddler) ran off with a bag of samples yesterday but I managed to rescue before she'd eaten/spilt them

I'm wearing Serge too today, have a cold so, sfter sandalwood chat last week, have gone for Santal Majuscule

Not getting any rose but think it is my sadly blocked nose, nice creamy sandalwood though.

FuzzLightbeard · 24/03/2014 12:48

Crikey MissBattleaxe I will have to have a look! Looks like I'll be going over the budget ths month...

Funnily enough my nearly 3yr old also had a perfume mishap this morning, got into my box of minis and spilled some Tristano Onofri on the bed. So yes, that box is now up on high too Grin

Yesterday I caught both DS's in the spare room, painting their toenails with gold nail polish in spectacular messy fashion. 'It's SO beautiful' said the littlest one.

SOTD is Bulgari BLV II, light and powdery violets.

ScienceRocks · 24/03/2014 12:55

Damn children! WinkGrin

Wearing tauer noontide petals today, courtesy of wiltingfast. When I first put it on, I thought it smelled of love heart sweets. Now it has settled down and is light, sweet and floral with a touch of vanilla (I think). Seems to be lasting well too.

wiltingfast · 24/03/2014 13:15

OMG BeCool were you cool?! I bet not, jesus wept! Hope you have explained to her now the difference between serge and glade!

Glad you like the Tauers Science Rocks! Good to see them in an appreciative home Grin.

Sounds like the Nose was a big success, must go back and order my own set of samples...

wiltingfast · 24/03/2014 13:27

Ok, all ordered!

Told them I like Chanel 19, Ninfeo Mio and Mona di Orio Vanille.

My recommendations were:-

Biehl parfumkunstwerke, pc02, Eau de Parfum, 2ml
The Different Company, Rose Poivre, Eau de Parfum, 1, 2ml
Diptyque, L'Eau de Diptyque, Eau de Toilette, 2ml
Miller Harris, Le Pamplemousse, Eau de Parfum, 1, 6ml
The Different Company, South Bay, Eau de Toilette, 1, 2ml

Will report back in due course Grin

FrugalFashionista · 24/03/2014 13:28

I've been postponing my SOTD willing new decants to arrive. Not today Sad and leaving for another trip early tomorrow.

Loving the mini perfumistas, Feminite is a pretty impressive start (mine like really pedestrian stuff like Pink Sugar and Princess Night).

You ladies are so sophisticated! Arquistes are super high-brow stuff and Uncle Sergey is also pretty selective and bargainous Envy is fantastic...

Wearing Eau De Cartier today.A light unobtrusive perfume of bergamot and coriander initially, leading on to a heart of violet and musk.I really like this but silage and longevity are minimal( sometimes that's nice though).I'm enjoying the peppery, woody finish .This to me, seems quite a feminine, rather than a unisex scent.

BeCool · 24/03/2014 14:21

We don't even use/buy room sprays! (though I do make my own with essential oils :) so she must have seen me spray the rooms with those occasionally I guess).

I was quite cool - I imagine I'd be the same when faced with a large dangerous creature. Do. Not. Move!! Step away from the Serge. I didn't shout or anything at all, but DD did cry a little bit so I think my face & seriousness must have shocked her. I did use the word never quite alot. Bless her. Grin

Serge Feminite is my choice to wear for the rest of my life (If I have to). And it is quite pricey.

ScienceRocks · 24/03/2014 18:45

Not sophisticated at all. Arquiste was in my perfumed court samples and the tauer is courtesy of wilting Smile

OneLittleLady · 24/03/2014 19:01

SOTD is L - Lolita Lempicka. One of my comfort scents. Down to a third of a bottle so need to hunt some more down

SheherazadeSchadenfreude · 24/03/2014 19:51

AllBeauty have a sale on - there is a lot of crap on there, but also some interesting perfumes for under £15 if anyone's interested.

wiltingfast · 24/03/2014 21:08

OLL! Your Y has arrived Grin, thank you so much, looking forward to giving it a full test run but initial sprays are v positive Wink

OneLittleLady · 24/03/2014 21:09

Brilliant wilting glad you like it Smile

cosikitty · 24/03/2014 22:22

Allbeauty is great, I see they have more niche type brands now as well, they have Robert Piguet and Creed at great savings, also free delivery to UK addresses. Tempted by Fracas.

cosikitty · 24/03/2014 23:12

What do you recommend for under £15 Shehera? I could do with a bargain!

bewleysisters · 25/03/2014 01:02

Interested in the good reviews for Nose. Have been playing with the preferences, and driving myself half mad now I've figured out how to re-set different combos. How did you decide which three to include to generate your diagnosis?

FrugalFashionista · 25/03/2014 07:18

At a heavenly duty-free - they sell Lutens here and you can sample Hermessences next door!!! But I'm ignoring all that and testing bestselling masculine blockbusters - 1 Million, Luna Rossa, Invictus, Valentino Uomo - on strip. Philip Kraft's FB pages make new mainstream releases really compelling as he has some of the insider backstory.
And some of the bottles are just OTT Grin - Invictus here.

Wearing Chanel No. 5 Eau Premiere for the trip.

SheherazadeSchadenfreude · 25/03/2014 07:27

Cosi - how about Halston? Quite a classic.

wiltingfast · 25/03/2014 08:24

Yay, allbeauty deliver to ireland and have gres cabochard for just over £15!

SOTD is Y by ysl and I am really enjoying it. A burst of old fashioned aldehydes and green woodiness shapeshifts down to a surprisingly gentle floral though you can still smell the green wood or maybe it's mossiness? faintly in the background. Initially I thought it would be too strong for everyday but the dry down is v gentle. There was a bit of a disturbing burst of dirtiness in the middle which was a bit disconcerting but it doesn't last (thought it was dd's nappy it was so strong Blush).

Have it my bag for refresher sprays Grin

OneLittleLady · 25/03/2014 08:52

So glad you like Y Wilting I loved it in the bottle but hated it on my skin, it just didn't suit so I'm glad it's found a good home Grin

ScienceRocks · 25/03/2014 09:17

bewley for the nose diagnosis, I put three scents I adore on me, not just ones I like or are good in the bottle but not on my skin, if that makes sense. I tinkered a little and usually only one of the recommendations would change, so I clearly have a type!

SOTD is Guerlain Rose Barbare. The initial burst of rose has now gone into something earthier and deeper. I will be interested to see how it develops throughout the day. At the moment, it feels a little too grown up for me (in the same vein as Chanel), but I may change my mind.

Frugal, enjoy the duty free perfume porn!

teta · 25/03/2014 10:01

Acqua De Parma today- loved it initially but smells so masculine now.I have also jumped on the Nose bandwagon.I'm really looking forward to the samples posted by them.Anyone else buying from All Beauty?I'm seriously tempted by Creeds Virgin Island Water( and I thought this was going to be an inexpensive pastime).
Frugal I'm so jealous of your solo perfume forays in duty free.Mine take place with a grumpy husband and 4 cross kids in tow.Enjoy ( one of the benefits of being a frequent flyer I guess).
