Stropps, that all sounds really helpful. Well done! Fingers crossed they get the next steps sorted quickly. And that you can return your hair to normal settingGrin

motherinferior · 13/02/2014 13:58

Do you think it might be time for us to ponder a celebratory meetup, perchance in March?

I just did the BBC Relationships Quiz. Pamela Stephenson thinks Mr Inferior and I have a Weak Relationship. Oh well Grin

bigTillyMint · 13/02/2014 13:59

I'm up for that, MI!

herbaceous · 13/02/2014 14:02

Dare I do the quiz? Or is it best to keep the lid on that particular box...

But yes - a meet up in March would be simply wizard. In addition to, or instead of, QQ's Vietnamese meal. She's gone very quiet on that one.

herbaceous · 13/02/2014 14:05

Phew. Pammy deemed ours 'generally healthy'.

motherinferior · 13/02/2014 14:25

We were only just in the 'could do better' section. It's like BMI, a range of depressingness.

Blackduck · 13/02/2014 14:45

Stropps {{ }} Enjoy the dog walk....

We could do better too MI.......

Ho Hum

bigTillyMint · 13/02/2014 14:58

I have found the quiz, but can't get on itConfused

bigTillyMint · 13/02/2014 16:51

Got onto the quiz... seems our relationship seems to display most of the qualities of a healthy relationship. But even full marks seemed to get the same answerConfused

lalsy · 13/02/2014 17:05

I got generally healthy but cd be improved.

I wanted to put we don't have time to most qns - dh and i hardly seem to see each other, certainly not for long enough to have a proper row. We email each other a fair bit - does that count Hmm

cremolafoam · 13/02/2014 17:45

First of all Stropps , very well done this morning . I'm not surprised about feeling wrung out. But I hope ilit was also in a way cathartic ; and you should feel very proud of yourself for today. QQ is absolutely right about dd seeing you applying some self-care.
It's good for all of us, particularly us stoic types. Thanks

I may well be on for a march meetup.
Wouldn't take much to persuade me.... Grin
Garden is blown to smithereens by the gale. My greenhouse is no more Sad than a metal skeleton and we have lost a 40 ft pine ( fortunately into the mini goat's little field next door .- no animals harmed)
I am looking up our insurance schedules to see if anything can be done.

Oh and just a little afraid to do that quiz tbh.Confused

bigTillyMint · 13/02/2014 18:41

Cremo, the winds did look to be bad on the weather last night over your waySad

Gwaaan, you know you want toSmile

MI are you organising us?

Stropperella · 13/02/2014 18:43

Crem, but, but, that's your new garden :( I hope you get something back from the insurance.

Blush for earlier "rung out" typo Grin . Thanks for all the lovely messages! I had a long-planned Kaffee und Kuchen session with my German friends this afternoon, which helped me regain my balance a bit. Then the assessor chappie rang me this evening to say that he wants to see me again as he wants to find out some more stuff before deciding on the CBT options etc. He has written to the GP asking for expert review of the meds. He seems to think I have been on them too long, which is what I think too. I have to see him again in 2 weeks.

I told dd that I had been to an assessment and she was a bit like this => Hmm She is mainly busy huffing about her GCSE art mock which lasts 5 hours and is taking place tomorrow. I have to magic up some corrugated cardboard, apparently. I must go and rummage in the garage, I think.

When I saw the locum GP last week, he seemed awfully familiar but I couldn't remember where I had seen him before. Took ds to his piano lesson after school today and then realised the dr is the father of the pupil who comes in after ds. Perils of small town living...

If the train service to London resumes by March, I would be up for a meetup. Public transport links from Dorset to London are currently rather dodgy, thanks to the insane weather, the next dose of which will be along shortly.

bigTillyMint · 13/02/2014 18:50

StroppsShock at running into the doc!
Good luck to your DD and you in finding all the stuff she needs but hasn't told you about till now.
And fingers crossed re the trains!

Stropperella · 13/02/2014 18:50

(have not bothered to do a restore my hair to normal settings because of impending circuits class Grin )

ps: Google have finally actioned a refund for my kaputt smartphone. Which is splendid because I have had to purchase a new phone. Phew.

Stropperella · 13/02/2014 18:52

Ho yes, BTM, I am expecting a huge meltdown from dd this evening when she comes out with ludicrous list of stuff that she absolutely and totally has to have for tomorrow. No matter that I asked her repeatedly about this last w/e, earlier in the week etc etc.

motherinferior · 13/02/2014 18:54

I will organise but Not Yet. Still in editing hell. There are Tables. Say no more

Have cancelled choir, which I never do. I am however being paid Rather A Lot for it.

motherinferior · 13/02/2014 18:56

Did you know that the longer we stay out of work after having children, the less we are likely to earn afterwards? I mean, did you? Really? Isn't it a shock?

lalsy · 13/02/2014 19:30

Tables Shock

MI< you will need WineWineWine

motherinferior · 13/02/2014 19:35

I am thank heavens not editing the actual tables. But they still strike Terror into my Vitals.

And don't ask about the bibliography: suffice it to say that I have put lots of comments in saying THIS ISN'T CITED or DON'T YOU MEAN 2012 NOT 2010 and so forth.

I will drink gin in front of Nashville later.

wilbur · 13/02/2014 20:00

MI - re your statistic, see my bank account for details.

cremolafoam · 13/02/2014 20:19

Erm absolute no brainer
Childbirth
------
Time elapsed

= crap earnings.

I am pondering this very thing at the moment as my old job in Dublin ( pre marriage) has just been advertised today @ €60,000 p/a plus car and benefits and 40 days leave p/a
I laugh. Not. Sad

Just cycled about for about fifty minutes, done 10 miles on the wretched exercise bike, level 7 and I have burned off a measly 200 calories! However, if you input on MFP that you have cycled x miles in y time it gives a fantastic calorie which bears no relation to what my bike says. So infuriating.

Like Wilbur my bank account agrees with MI's statistic.

I hope everyone's houses and gardens cope with whatever the weather throws at them over the next day or so. We're forecast snow tomorrow evening - but I can't see it being on the same scale as the east coast of the States.

QueenQueenie · 13/02/2014 20:46

No shit MI! Who'd have thunk it!

Vietnamese scoffing trip still very much on offer to anyone within easy striking distance of Norf London.., I wasn't being coy (Herbs), rather not wanting to be all... "pushy" (a great failing in my mother's eyes). If you're free tomorrow any of you it's a date (as am all on my own in London and my friend who I had lined up for entertainment has bailed on me, ). If that is a tad soon let's fix a date!
Definitely in addition to not instead of any other March meetup I think...
