One I am cool toned too and suspect I am also a winter. Which Lancôme foundations did you get samples of? I would like to try the teint idole.

OneLittleLady · 04/02/2014 17:15

I know I got the visionairre one, not sure on what else. She didn't recommend the teint idole for me because I have such dry skin.

MarshaBrady · 04/02/2014 17:16

Hello. At work today. Can't believe there's a tube strike tomorrow. Need to plan journey from Liverpool St to Waterloo. So easy on the underground. Bus I guess!

Anni so glad you had a wonderful night. Sometimes it's just what you need to get the skip to the step back.

MarshaBrady · 04/02/2014 17:21

Shop we are last minute packers! I have sort of formed a list. Prescription sunglasses and passport are key. Bikini and sun dress. Other things too.

My dad has been cracking me up by sending lists to the children about what they need to bring and do before boarding the world's biggest passenger plane. The dc are so excited. He'd run a good press campaign Grin.

MarshaBrady · 04/02/2014 17:23

Because how lovely! Bet it is really very nice.

Shop yes NBs are good I think or Nikes as Dry says. I like how they look.

BecauseIsaidS0 · 04/02/2014 18:20

Marsha we flew in an A380 to KL. I'd only been in one of these once before and it was in the upper deck so it felt like a normal aircraft. This time round we were in the lower deck. It feels rather spacious. We could see the wings from our seats - they are huge!

LinusDKD · 04/02/2014 18:38

because Bali sounds heavenly!

We are planning to stay there for a week next time we go and visit DSis in Oz.

So happy you had a good time anni! And glad the jeans are a keeper.

Can't wait to reach my target weight and buy another pair of Jimmies as I really miss wearing boyfriend jeans. Might have a look at TS to see if they do any nice boyfriend styles.

shopafrolic · 04/02/2014 19:08

Marsha I still remember my first long haul flight to the USA aged about 9. So exciting running up and down the aisles, the flight socks, the colouring books, the way the lights went off and on - thinking about it, I bet I really pissed off the other passengers. We were taken to see the pilot too. Ace.
Hope work is going well.
Sleep eggs for lunch and no wine tonight - thanks for today xx

shopafrolic · 04/02/2014 19:10

Anni good call on the smaller size then - how's the head now?

Drywhiteplease · 04/02/2014 19:52

Secret teint idole was my favourite posh foundation until recently. I would highly recommend it. Fabulous matte coverage. Goes on like a dream. Smells divine. Still love it but occasionally looked like a ghost in photos and worry about matte foundations emphasising wrinkles. Lancôme and MAC are my 2 favourite make up brands.

But I wear no7 lift and luminate for everyday. They colour match it to your skin. Goes on really well. Not too matte and v forgiving to my skin.

Evening all! Great to hear you had fab evening Anni!

I meant to say, we went out on Saturday night and I finally got to wear this Armani sparkly cardigan after almost a year of owning it! It was fab. I wore it exactly like the model with black Ann Taylor trousers (the holy grail, trousers that actually fit me without looking like I have crapped in them!) and a black silk top underneath. Felt very glamSmile

As for MU, my dry cleaner returned some of my Christmas / sale sweaters so I am likely to be in one of the cashmere that I have fallen in love with!

Marsha, I used to be a last minute packer. I once packed for a 2 week holiday to Buenos Aires in 30 minutesShock this was pre-dcs. I wasn't feeling well and wasn't sure whether I could be bothered to go on the 15 hour flight and literally changed my mind and decided to go at the last minute! It's now a military style operation that takes about a week!

Drywhiteplease · 04/02/2014 20:42

Ooh I still get excited flying.

Love getting up early.
Love packing my flight handbag.
Love the airport bit.
Love breakfast in the airport.
Love unnecessary airport purchases and testing perfumes.
Love the little airplane food.
Love the free flight goody bags with tiny toothpaste, weird socks etc....
don't love the loos
Imagine how much I LOVED being upgraded to business class on a transatlantic flight 3 years ago it's a long and good story for a MU LOVED the huge seats, free champagne, decent sleep.
Oh yes I love flying.Grin

Shop I've never been in the cock pit! don't think I'd be able to contain myselfGrin

Glad you had a great night, Anni, outfit sounds great.

I have cool toned skin and I am a summer, luckily I've gone off black a bit for day in recent years so not too much of a shock!

I bought these jeans today with the Gap code, so nice I am going back for another wash in the same jeans tomorrow.

Annoying about the tube, it has scuppered my trip to Harrods bag dept! Grin Dry, I have been giving the bags much thought! I would like a grey and a navy bag. I was considering a grey Balenciaga/Chloe Marcie/Burberry however not sure I love the first two enough to pay over £1000 for a bag that will get wrecked in a pale grey. Prada is the only designer I am happy spending that much on but I don't love the colours at the moment. My DD2 is two so still at the monkey music/toddler group stage so my friend is bringing me back a grey M by MJ Natasha from the US, it's a bit cheaper there.

For navy, I was thinking of a navy Gucci disco, satchel www.anyahindmarch.com/View-All/Maxi-Zip-satchel/Navy-5050925812641.html?start=2 or maybe the smaller version. I have a few AH bags so maybe should go for something different but I like them a lot.

Also like this purple Burberry too but maybe in the sales.

It all depends on how much the bags I list on ebay go for and how generous my father and DH feel on my birthday!

Decameron · 04/02/2014 20:55

satchel

Decameron · 04/02/2014 20:56

I love flying without my children!!

shopafrolic · 04/02/2014 20:59

LOL @ Dry unable to contain herself in a pit of cocks! Grin

shopafrolic · 04/02/2014 21:03

I love flying too. I miss the business flights. Back in the day I had quite a good strike rate for getting chatted up by very handsome men in airport lounges. Happy days!

BrandyAlexander · 04/02/2014 21:14

Oh dear and I am always moaning about flying!Blush

shopafrolic · 04/02/2014 21:28

Just send me next time Novice I'm sure I'd have it covered.... I mean, how hard can it be right? Grin
Are you loving the house?

Drywhiteplease · 04/02/2014 22:08

Shop Grin

shopafrolic · 04/02/2014 22:24

Meant to say earlier that the Me&em dress is a keeper.

BrandyAlexander · 04/02/2014 22:31

GrinGrin Probably true!

I am totally loving the house! I am also super loving the audio stuff. I was in the shower this morning with music blaring from the ceiling speakers and singing along. I love being able to see all my clothes, handbags and have a jewellery shelf for my jewellery boxes. Happy days.Smile The only time I get overwhelmed is when I think about redecorating from top to bottom. I know what order I am going to do it now (basically ignore 5 rooms and focus on 2 rooms plus master suite in phase 1) so that makes me relieved!

BrandyAlexander · 04/02/2014 22:31

Oh that's great! Have I missed pin photos?

libertychick · 04/02/2014 22:54

Grrrr - have logged on as I got my 'refund' from Atterley Road today and I'm fuming [anger] - story on the AR thread. I am done with them.
