A safe place to talk fashion stuff. Bring a passion for fashion (high end or high street), a positive state of mind and lots of links.

As I'm about to embark upon sticky toffee pudding (DH & I Sunday evening treat), I am in awe of anyone who can cut out sugar. Sometimes I feel as though my life depends upon it!

In order to cheer myself up about the coat, I may have just ordered this. My DBro is in the US atm and, although he doesn't know it yet, will be bringing it home for me.

It seems as though I'm working my way through the Atlantic Pacific blog now. Told you - bloggers' bitch. Wink

Oh grumpy I'm not planning on giving up sugar - just be a bit more aware of how much of it I eat (and where the hidden sugar lurks).
Love the sweatshirt. I'm still gutted about the timing on the shoes

Because I recently bought a pair of Marant wedge trainers so I say yes!

Shop - I feel your pain. Madewell should definitely expand into the UK/EU market. My heart sinks when I hit the drop down and the only countries listed are 'United States, Canada, Japan'

Shop I read all those articles today too and agree that sugar is a baddie, I have also been surprised at how much sugar I used to eat in fruit and juice. But, although I agree, it all sounded a bit hysterical to me. What none of the articles said was a little bit is ok.
I also love an article about "are you going to the gym too much?" One of the ways of telling is "do you feel like not going?" Hmm I never feel like going! would rather sit on my arse watching tv with a lovely selection of smelly French cheese and a bottle of Bordeaux thank you very much....but I order to keep my back side under control I squeeze my toned, nut breaking buttocks into a teeny tiny Lycra ensemble and get said arse kicked into shape by a hunky gym instructor.....and YES I do feel guilty if I don't go, I feel guilty that I've spend a lot on a lovely wardrobe that I won't be able to wear Grin RANT OVER!

How about swimming ShoppeGrin

shop I read that article too. I'm 5 days without it now and don't feel any different but my skin looks brighter and less grey. I haven't been too hardcore as I still eat bananas and raisins.

Just been browsing online at the new collections and haven't seen anything that takes my fancy. Which is obviously lucky as I have no money to spend!

Hello. Party was lovely. Everyone seemed to have fun and DD loved it. Her first proper party!!

Shop DH and I are planning to reduce sugar too - great to have him on board as he does the shopping so it means there will be no rubbish in the house.

Great sweatshirt Grumpy - I wish Madewell would open up over here too. Shame about the shoes Shop.

Dry I am Envy at the clean house. Our decorations are still up as DD wanted the tree up for her party. As well as giving up sugar DH and I have agreed to do a MAJOR declutter. We plan to immigrate in about 2 years time so we are going to go through the house and ask 2 questions about every single item (1) is this worth shipping to Australia? (2) if not, are we going to use it in the next 2 years? If things don't pass the test they are out - I suspect it may be traumatic but I am looking forward to having a minimalist home by end of Feb Smile

Having just looked at madewell I've decided I need a trip to the US!

liberty that sounds like a good plan on how to declutter.

Grin at Dry's rant - so true, so many of these food things get presented as all or nothing whereas actually moderation in everything is the key.

Dry I love you and your nut breaking buttocks
6 tsps of sugar a day ladies Smile
Liberty I knew you'd ace the party. Yay!! Only two years left with you in person?? Must maximise face to face opportunities!

Yay! Our new fridge freezer is in and working! I never thought I'd see the day I'd be excited about a kitchen appliance but that day is today.

Oh, MIL has one of those fridges Liberty and it dispenses ice as well as water. DP desperately wants one but there's absolutely no room for one without ripping out the tiny amount of worktop space we have!

shop I didn't read it all,but cutting sugar out completely ,is very hard,im very careful with what i eat but I couldn't believe the amount of sugar found in other food, like cereal, and health bars,so I'm trying to cut back on those.
The best change I did, with a good positive result ,was switching from fat free fruit yugart to regular plain Greek one, that I add fresh berries or pineapple too.

because I have mixed feeling about wedge trainers, I think the look best on tall slender women,I have no idea why?,their purpose is to add height,so they should be perfect for the not so tall , but somehow you end up looking chunky,
But they are still popular,I think!

dry I'm sooo Envy of hunky instructor, mine is 5ft, 130lb Of muscle Slovakian female.

Having great fun trawling online shops for things to add to my considering pin board. A fair mix of high end and high street. As my budget is not big on a monthly basis, there's a fair bit of it that'd have to be saved for but I think that will be good for me instead of getting quick, disposable hits in primark Grin

Hello all,

Feeling fragile.

novice I have also been in bed sick since sat eve with noro virus Sad

The worst part of it was being sick at the side of the road and getting some on my cavalli cape and shoes. Thankfully the new Joesph jumper didn't suffer any of the ill effects.

Lost 2kg so it's not all bad Wink

Lots to catch up on. Back soon.
