A safe place to talk fashion stuff. Bring a passion for fashion (high end or high street), a positive state of mind and lots of links.

Dd has just been sick. Always a dilemma now I have teens. Feel bad leaving her home alone but feel bad missing work. Sad
Emma Watson. Hmm

Drywhiteplease · 13/01/2014 07:54

Emma Roberts Smile but very "grown up" for a young woman.

Barbie1 · 13/01/2014 08:01

dry I know if I was sick as I teen I would of wanted to be left alone to rest and watch crappy tv. Hope she feels better soon.

I think I'm the only one who likes Emma's dress, I hope it's not all the drugs distorted my mind Hmm *disclaimer but drugs I mean flu stuff not the Wall Street kind Grin

Annianni · 13/01/2014 08:09

But which Emma Barbie? :o

Dry, I'd leave her with a bucket on an old towel, bottle of water and a phone.

Barbie1 · 13/01/2014 08:14

The chick from HP Grin

dry could you leave work if dd gets any worse?

MarshaBrady · 13/01/2014 08:27

I do love the front enough to forgive the back. I don't actually mind the back of the dress, it's just the black trousers- but they're not too bad. So I'm with you Barbie.

Dry tv, food and duvet on sofa?

Annianni · 13/01/2014 08:54

I've started a thread, the 5k one.
If it all kicks off, I'm n/c :o

Where have MrsR and Paris gone?

Barbie1 · 13/01/2014 09:00

anni when you name change can you pm me
Your new name? I can't keep up Wink Grin

Annianni · 13/01/2014 09:11

Will do...
:o

MarshaBrady · 13/01/2014 10:41

Lovely MrsR is taking a break.

Paris not sure!

What is everyone wearing on this fine, chilly morning?

I'm afraid my outfit is not note worthy enough, rag&bone skinnies + jumper.

BecauseIsaidS0 · 13/01/2014 10:48

I'm still in my yoga clothes...stripey Lululemon capris, orange vest, blue hoodie from Anthropology NY. For work it will be a cobalt blue dress and my leopard print ballerinas. And pearls; I'm feeling a bit blue so it has to be a pearls day.

Barbie1 · 13/01/2014 11:02

because why so blue? You mean emotionally rather than colour?

I'm in skinnys, new LNA t and that oversize cardi, paired with nike wedge high tops. Feeling blurgh so went for comfortable over style Blush

BecauseIsaidS0 · 13/01/2014 11:11

PMS getting to me. Trying to conceive (that's how I originally landed in MN; through the conception fora) but not having much luck. Think that boat sailed away (I'm 40)

shopafrolic · 13/01/2014 11:14

Morning you lovely Voguettes - how the devil are we?
Linus Hope you are getting on okay today. DH leaves us on Saturday until Friday. The worst bit is the weekend for me - I hate being by myself with DS when everyone else is doing family stuff - probably yet another trip to the zoo for us. Maybe I should branch out and try London zoo!
Marsha cream APC knit, with cream Rosemunde silk vest, navy Jigsaw straight leg trousers (feel too elderly) and tan suede Ash Spirals. Michael Kors watch, diamond studs - no other jewellery.

MEEEEEEEET UP!
So... hair appointment is booked for 9.45am on Sat 8th Feb. I should be back in the West End for 12.30 I guess. Can anyone who is up for the MU PM me and then I'll get something booked? I think so far it's Novice, Sleep, Liberty and Marsha ??

I'm sorry to hear that because Sad

I ended up on mn after a mmc, it really is a diverse place to be.

I hope the pms doesn't drag you down to much and your day starts to improve.

At least you are going to look fabulous Smile (small attempt at making you smile right there)

shopafrolic · 13/01/2014 11:16

Sorry to hear that Because - I can't offer any advice but am happy to hand hold.......

MarshaBrady · 13/01/2014 11:34

Shop excellent! yes to mu. Just what we need Smile

Because I'm sorry to hear that. Hug from me too.

Just going out, back later to check out fab outfits.

Sleepwhenidie · 13/01/2014 11:36

Shop I am on my own with the DC's this weekend too, DH going skiing with his mates Envy. Think I am going to take them swimming on Saturday morning but let me know if you do decide to head to the zoo, maybe we could wander over and meet you in the afternoon? We went yesterday and froze so if the weather is rubbish this weekend, I may see what is on at the cinema for them. Have you tried DS at cinema yet?

Yes, pretty sure I will be at MU!

Thank you for all the birthday wishes, had a lovely weekend with DH and Dc's. One how was the cake?

Because

Foxy - advice please, I think I need to start doing some yoga! What kind of class would you recommend? I like full on type exercise, but probably need something that is the antithesis of that, particularly to stretch and unknot all the muscles I'm winding up with weights and kickboxing…Confused. Would probably only be once a week. Thinking of going here but there is also a new hot yoga place up the road here

OneLittleLady · 13/01/2014 11:40

The cake was actually nice Sleep! DP didn't rate it because he thought the texture was weird but I enjoyed it and it didn't taste like potato, just normal lemon cake!

I'm sorry to hear that Because I can't imagine how difficult it is for you Sad

BecauseIsaidS0 · 13/01/2014 11:42

Thanks ladies! I'm all dressed up now and feel like I can face my day.

Sleep, if I may jump in, I've been doing Ashtanga yoga for over a decade now and what attracted me to it is that it was quite dynamic. I love me a slow yoga class now, but at the time I wouldn't have stuck to it. I'll take a look at your links when I have a second.

I'm not too much into hot yoga because I feel it's better when the heat comes from the body itself, but other people swear by it.

BecauseIsaidS0 · 13/01/2014 11:44

Oh, I think that place is what used to be Alchemy.

Would you consider Triyoga in Primrose Hill? It's very well established and I know a lot of the teachers there.

Sleepwhenidie · 13/01/2014 11:47

Yes because, it was Alchemy, I do kickboxing downstairs - could I do a kickboxing session then yoga Confused? I like Triyoga, did pg yoga there, but this place is slightly more convenient.

BecauseIsaidS0 · 13/01/2014 12:09

Yes, no problem with doing yoga after kickboxing!

Sleepwhenidie · 13/01/2014 12:19

Ok, so kundalini would fit, timetable wise. Would that be good to try do you think?

NUFC69 · 13/01/2014 12:26

One, I am pretty certain that the Good Food mag for next month has a small extra cookbook "Gluten Free Cooking". I glanced at it and it looked interesting. Have passed my copy to DD; let me know if you can't get hold of a copy and I will see if she still has it.

As I am waiting for DGS to come to stay for afternoon and night my outfit for today is simple - yoga type trousers and pale grey round necked sweater. Fashionable I ain't, comfortable yes, but as DD will arrive with baby too, it's needs must. Will probably get changed if we go out for a walk/scoot!
