A safe place to talk fashion stuff. Bring a passion for fashion (high end or high street), a positive state of mind and lots of links.

Oh Linus hope you are ok - a week is long time with 2 small DC.

NUFC69 · 12/01/2014 21:43

Linus, even now, although both of my children have little ones of their own, I still remember what it was like when my DH used to go off on business for days at a time. The evenings seemed endless and even the days stretched away. It's good that you have friends on MNV.

MarshaBrady · 12/01/2014 22:14

Linus yes thank you they are lovely. We'll try and take some of the edge off. It must be hard, big hug.

Liberty I really like your staples thread. Smile

Although I did think I listed 90% of what I have, maybe I need to mix it up a bit!

To bed, back tomorrow.

Drywhiteplease · 12/01/2014 22:16

Evening all! Grin
Linus go out as much as possible during the day or you'll get cabin fever. If I were you I'd get a great book and a load of DVDs (pref a box set) then you'll have the evenings sorted too! Get some friends round for a girlie evening too. Well look after you.
Grumpy have you found the bag yet? I hope you do .

justasecond · 12/01/2014 22:18

Happy birthday Sleep and One!! Cake Flowers
Hope you both had a great day. Love, love, love the Rockstuds!!! Enjoy them!
Welcome to NUFC! great to have you here, your style sounds fab!
Be back when I have caught up.

GrumpyOldHorsewoman · 13/01/2014 00:28

Linus - hope you don't miss DH too much. Yours is obviously more agreeable than mine - I enjoy the peace and order when he goes away!

V Envy at the notion of a Longchamp store locally, although having a town with shops like that on my doorstep would be a dangerous thing. If you see the bag in there, please kiss it for me, the red is my favourite.

QueenCadbury · 13/01/2014 02:35

The one good thing about being up with dd right now is looking t the golden globe dresses. Most of them them have made me think WTF rather than wow.

Barbie1 · 13/01/2014 03:11

queen I'm watching too Smile

Julia Roberts wtf?

Emma Watson I like...

Barbie1 · 13/01/2014 03:18

Oh dear Sad

This is the second time this week that Heidi has worn floral. I really don't like it on her. Coupled with that necklace this style just really falls flat in my opinion

Barbie1 · 13/01/2014 03:27

one potatoe in a cake? ! Shock potatoe? (Shakes head in disbelief)

The only thing to be in cake is chocolate Wink

Regardless I hope it was lovely and your birthday was a good one.

LinusDKD · 13/01/2014 06:12

Morning!

Thanks for all your kind posts. The DC had a good night, I didn't as I woke up several times and was completely awake by 3 a.m.

Think I will have a nap when the DC are at nursery.

Off to look af the GG dresses!

MarshaBrady · 13/01/2014 06:30

Linus me too, ds asked for water at 4 and I couldn't get back to sleep.

So Golden Globe -
Worst
Julia Roberts- eek
Not keen on Uma either, too severe
Or Heidi in floral

Emma Roberts looks very pretty from the front, the back is not good.
Amy Adams looks great in those colours

Am so tired with shots of Reece W back. It's always that shot. I care not about her back.

Barbie1 · 13/01/2014 06:31

Oh linus you will be exhausted if you carry on like this for a week. I'm the same when dh goes away, it's something about being soley in charge of two little ones that leaves me totally on edge. I hope you do get some much needed rest during the day.

I can't remember how on earth I coped with dh going away for 4 months at a time Shock thankfully now it's a few days here and there. A weeks tops.

Barbie1 · 13/01/2014 06:36

Kate beckendale, flawless.

Reece, bland

Who on earth are the girls from 'the girls' not a good look on either of them.

I had a girl crush on Margot after seeing her in the wolf on Wall Street (brilliant film if you like drugs, nakedness and sex Grin) however her Gucci dress seems so predicable.

Is it me or does everyone's hair and makeup seem bland. Lots of straight hair just hanging? I wanted more glamour. Taylor swift always makes an effort...

MarshaBrady · 13/01/2014 06:39

I mean Emma Watson. Love that colour.

Barbie1 · 13/01/2014 06:39

Emma Roberts not Watson as I previously called her is wearing the dress of the awards, the one everyone is talking about. I do like it.

She is young enough to pull off the twist. It's fun.

Poor j law is getting slated in her white dress. I do agree that bottom 'band' doesn't do her bum justice in some shots.

MarshaBrady · 13/01/2014 06:39

I really want to see that film Barbie, love Leonardo.

Barbie1 · 13/01/2014 06:40

Roberts or Watson...now I'm all Confused

The Harry potter chick Grin

Barbie1 · 13/01/2014 06:42

marsha I blame you! Grin

Yes do see that film. Leo is superb. Excellent portrayal. Lots and lots of boobs and bum shots though. Sadly not enough of Leo's Wink

MarshaBrady · 13/01/2014 06:44

Haha Barbe Grin

Yep I meant HP one too. She looks very pretty.

MarshaBrady · 13/01/2014 06:45

Barbie! Perhaps I should get up and have that coffee.

Barbie1 · 13/01/2014 06:47

marsha make it a strong one Grin

Annianni · 13/01/2014 07:40

Emma Watson is the HP chick.

Emma Roberts is Julia's niece, and got done for dv recently.

Will check out the dresses later.
Been awake since 5 with ds2 (yawn)

I forgot to say, I tried the Gap patched skinnys on Saturday, they were ok... Dh didn't like them... The pale patches on my knees kept wrinkling and stood out too much.
A darker patch would have looked better on me.
Also didn't like the faded bits on the back of my calves, they looked like chalk marks.

Annianni · 13/01/2014 07:45

Also, if anyone (lurkers probably) are under a size 30 in jeans and near Manchester HN, they have some bargainous jeans left in the sale for £35/40.

I saw some lovely black Paige skinnys, along with J brands and various others.
Lots of coloured skinnys and velvet ones too.
