After the brilliant success of our Christmas Countdown Princessing thread I'm starting a new thread to take us to Easter. From 1st Jan it's 108 days so there will be a countdown to this days.

This idea stems from the original princessing threads but has evolved to accommodate all aspects of beautifying, beauty, clothes, diet, exercise etc.

What we like to do is a list of what your planning on doing and working through it.

Links to follow.

Thanks wolf, that's even easier to do as there's a chemist on the main road! Dp's off out to Lidl in a mo, so will get him to nip in there for me Smile

ControlGeek · 25/01/2014 19:55

Looks like you've had much better advice than I could have given lucysmam - I tend to just scratch it til it bleeds!

Doner meat and chips for tea tonight, that's all part of the diet, right???!!

lucysmam · 25/01/2014 20:45

Envy Control Grin Dd1 is still up chattering away so no chance of takeaway here!

I'm feeling rather blah still Sad Desperately trying not to scratch at my head...just been in the shower because there's two really strong jets of water in there that hit the itchy bits just right...bliss! I daren't actually put anything on my face though apart from the Clotrimazol cream Confused Seems to be helping though, the scabby bits look less red and sore than earlier.

I have three ingrowing hairs too on my bikini line....just not my weekend Hmm Going to share some popcorn with dd and read my book while dp plays Guess Who with her...think tomorrow will be a very early one for me, try and perk up a bit!

Wolfcub · 25/01/2014 21:30

Lucysmam, I believe it will say on the immoral bottle that you can use it dilute to wash your skin with, mine was bloody everywhere. It drives you bonkers.

Wolfcub · 25/01/2014 21:31

Nizoral bottle not immoral bottle

lucysmam · 26/01/2014 10:47

Morning all Smile

Well, I have spoken to ooh about my itchy splotchy bits and scalp...I have impetigo! I thought impetigo was something kids got

My Sunday pamper routine will have to wait until it clears up, doubt that it will appreciate face masks or me de-fuzzing my top lip Confused

I also have a cold Hmm and my eyes look like I spent the night crying!!

Need something to pick me up...obvs the stress of the past few weeks has me a bit run down Sad

lucysmam · 26/01/2014 10:51

btw wolf Grin Grin Grin at immoral bottle! Provided a much needed giggle this morning.

CallingAllEngels · 27/01/2014 11:25

Morning all. Sorry for goingawol. The January blues hit with a vengeance last week. Felt so bloated, exhausted and out of shape.

Kick starting myself again today. Just got my hair cut and off with ds for a walk to blow the c8bwebs away.

out for dinner tonight with a friend so will make an effort to look nice! And will not count tonight as healthy eating!

Going to weigh myself and see what the damage is from the last few months of misery eating! One month to get into some kind of shape before we start ttc again in March.

sorry to hear about impetigo lucy - hope it clears up soon.

Dilidali · 27/01/2014 13:21

Hello all!

Wish me luck, I am halfway through my first ever fasting day. I most probably have had them before, but that would have been due to being insanely busy, with 3456764677 calories when I got gome. Had my swim and a walk. I squeezed in a 'visit' to the charity shop. You know what, stuff in there is expensive!!!! I bought a little game :)
About to do my nails. I have a pretty dress on, the sun is shining and I know I've forgotten to do something really important, no idea what though!!!

lucysmam · 27/01/2014 16:43

Afternoon all Smile

Well, been to new gp's earlier, expected to have to wait for appointments for the girls but got one for dd2 this afternoon & one for dd1 on weds Shock We were on such a roll, I booked my smear as well for next week! Much much better than a three week wait at old surgery!

Anyway, dd2 has impetigo too but only a few spots so should have caught it before it gets too bad. The gp took one look at me & gave me some tablets too to take alongside the cream from ooh yesterday...I must look a state Sad

Nails are chopped shorter than short so I can't itch Confused

Not impressed with nursery/school...I told them about it so they could warn other parents, obv we got it from somewhere....they sort of looked at me like Hmm even though it's contaigous!

At least I still dressed smartly even if I do look like a sack of spuds Grin

ControlGeek · 28/01/2014 09:22

dili well done on your first fasting day! How did you find it? It really does get easier with time, promise!

lucysmam Shock I had no idea impetigo was contagious, I thought it was just one of those things that appeared randomly then vanished again. Glad you are getting sorted now. And yay to the new GP surgery, that is a very impressive turnaround on appointments.

I'm sitting here in scruffs and slobs, hair unkempt (I can't even remember if I brushed it this morning Blush) but will make an effort in a bit. I want to pop into town to pick up some wool for a blanket. They know me very well in the wool shop, and every time I go there I am normally fresh from work so very smartly dressed. Can't be letting the side down now, can I?!

Pollywallywinkles · 28/01/2014 17:40

No. You can't be letting the side down!

My exercise has gone out of the window as my little dog is not well at all, and consequently we have not been on anything resembling a walk. It doesn't seem right going out for a walk without the dog at this point in time.

ControlGeek · 28/01/2014 19:37
lucysmam · 28/01/2014 20:43

Control yep, unfortunately it is very contaigous so dd and I are avoiding people as much as we can...quite hard to do really! Thankfully my face seems to be drying out now although I do have a couple of small new patches on my hip and one on my leg Confused Much less itchy today too (apart from at lunchtime...God I could have itched my eyes out they were that bad.

On the upside, the cream we've been given is apparently good for acne/blackheads so if there's any left I will be keeping hold of that for future use! (have wiki'd all the stuff we've been given).

80 days to go

ControlGeek · 29/01/2014 17:58

ta da
Showered
Dressed
Makeup (minimal)
Hair dried and brushed
Went out for a walk into town, 30 mins or so
Not so good on my water drinking today, but have kept my fruit intake up.

Got loads of spots right now, and not a darn thing I can do about them. Can't wait for this to be over so I can get back to being able to use my cleansers.

Dilidali · 29/01/2014 22:31

Fab, control!!!!

Princessing in my household consisted of nice flowers, some amazing new shower gel, new top to go with an old skirt, routine done. Tomorrow I am having my eyebrows threaded again :). And I am going to look for a pair of shoes.
A day for myself tomorrow :)

79 days to go

lucysmam · 30/01/2014 09:34

Good morning Smile

Well, it gets better....and worse here Confused

Dd1's rash is back with a vengence but still the Dr has no idea what it is Hmm My itchy scratchy bits are finally starting to itch less and clear off, dd2's are clearing but not quite as well.....& we all have a snotty cold Confused

BUT! Since my face is clearer, I'm going to start wearing more make-up than just basics and sort my hair out properly tonight because it looks a touch birds nest ish. My nails are actually growing back quite nicely since I chopped them off (short and neat) so might paint them if I don't bury my head in my book again tonight.

Just off to make my porridge & take vits. treated myself to some instant latte and vanilla syrup in Lidl yesterday, not quite the same as Costa but still cheered up my day so think I'll have one of those while I do the oh so exciting task of writing my shopping list after brekky.

Hope you're all good! Have a nice day Smile

Dilidali · 30/01/2014 14:53

Lucy, be careful with using make up whilst you have impetigo, it's an absolute pain to get rid of! Careful you don't contaminate your make up. :)

Black velvet trousers, anyone? I just bought my first pair, been looking for one for a long time, found some that fit beautifully. No actual money spent, had a christmas vouchers I've been saving.
I did however, think of your encouragements when I bought boots for next year (heavily reduced) and a pair of wedges Blush, equally cheap (because of massive reduction).

Quite happy :). Admin day tomorrow, deep clean the house and as a reward, a hot bath Grin

lucysmam · 30/01/2014 16:12

I didn't think of that Dilidali...might hold off a while longer! Can't afford to replace the whole lot if I contaminate it. Good thinking batman Grin

StyleOverSubstance · 30/01/2014 19:50

Back again - will catch up on some of the earlier posts as have not had time to look for a couple of days as I have been ferrying various members of the family to and from hospital. This month has been a nightmare of illness!

My re-boot starts on the first of Feb, so will be looking over my princess plan again tomorrow and getting started with diet again too. Any ideas for a healthy breakfast option gratefully received as I seem to end up with either the porridge or Weetabix option as usually rushing around doing school run, so am aiming to eat a more leisurely breakfast when I come home as apparently eating slowly is supposed to be better for you in terms of digestion and allowing your brain to recognise that you have eaten and are full. My mantra for this year is Fit not Fat - just hope it works this time and I don't end up being derailed again.

Nice to see some of the familiar names still on here - Lucy, Control, DiliDali to namecheck a few. You all seem to be doing well, so am hoping I can catch up with you all soon and even if not where I had hoped to be by Easter, at least be well on the way again.

smellylittleorange · 30/01/2014 21:35

styleover smoked salmon and scrambled eggs?

Hi all, things not too well here but I think I have lost another pound 14st 9 from 15st 2 if memory serves me right. January has been stressful and unbearably sad for me I just feel really down. Am trying to get back on track , think more fresh air will help...hard when it ius constantly raining. Work is still rubbish whilst boss is away trying to sort her messes. Dd9 is playing up and DH is on earliest which is never good. I feel like I should just snap out of it for once in my life finances ok , we've had dates and dinner etc and I have holiday to look forward to in feb
