After the brilliant success of our Christmas Countdown Princessing thread I'm starting a new thread to take us to Easter. From 1st Jan it's 108 days so there will be a countdown to this days.

This idea stems from the original princessing threads but has evolved to accommodate all aspects of beautifying, beauty, clothes, diet, exercise etc.

What we like to do is a list of what your planning on doing and working through it.

Links to follow.

Good evening all Smile

Helga how is your dh this evening? Is he able to take time off work to just relax? (not that it's very relaxing with small dc Hmm )

Control have you and your dp made up? Is the website you linked earlier beauty stuff? I clicked but didn't really look properly Confused

Calling I wish I could run like that...running is not my strong point! Dp always laughs at me running for the bus Hmm

We've had an interesting weekend here. Dd1 has a rash under her arm..
.several trips round various dr's had it diagnosed as shingles, a cat allergy, an allergic reaction and we've come to the conclusion that she's had a localised reaction to the adhesive on a dressing I used to cover where something had rubbed and made her sore under there.

Good news on the job front for my dp, he's waiting for a call back in the morning with a start date somewhere closer to home!

I found my epistick eventually so top lip is now defuzzed, brows are finally looking better and not so straggly. Think I'll give them until the end of the month and have them threaded again, that'll make it six weeks from last time I think.

Nails are unpainted, I took a chunk out of one the other day so might leave them until that outgrows.

Walked two miles again today (plus another trip to dr's in town so probably another half mile or so to bus stop and in town).

Brekky was porridge with golden syrup...forgot how much I like porridge, will be having the same again in the morning once I've run my errands.

Right, I bet this is epic so am off for half an hour with my book before I head to bed Smile

Wolfcub · 13/01/2014 21:20

Evening all, great news about dh linesman

First day of the new job wasn't bad but the commute there was help, hopefully tomorrow will be better.

Tas dahs

Hair oiled dried and styled
Broke away from my penchant for jeans and trousers and wore a skirt to work
Basic makeup, mascara, powder, lippy and blush

Since I got home I've had a face scrub, changed, got tomorrow's outfit and all the bits and bobs for me and ds together for tomorrow.

I've planked for 60 seconds made tonight's healthy tea and started tomorrow's, done a load of washing and done the meal plan and shopping list for next week

control, well done about the shredding!!!!
vvviola, enjoy job hunting :)
engels, super! i'd die after 1km, let alone 5 or 10 (that'd be science fiction!)

Got some days off coming up and I'm looking forward to them :)

Hope you have a fab day.

DH is feeling a bit better today so will probably go back to work tomorrow. He's not under a HUGE amount if stress. He's been in his job less than a year because he'd completely re-trained and just got his degree last year. He had a review last Friday and they're really happy with him.

At home we have DD but she's pretty good - as I BF he doesn't have to do nights My Aunt (lives with my parents) isn't in great health but we've been through the death of my uncle and other aunt and I don't think it's that.

He's refusing to go to the docs but if it happens again I'm not giving him any choice.

Hi all,

I am so sorry not too catch up – I am so busy at work – having to take some home- doing bare bones maintenance at the moment, so nail polish touch ups hiar semi dried , still managing to be reasonably smartish. Have a haircut on Thurs Eve . Tried to do a plank the other day lasted 10 seconds [weakling emoticon].

Tada! lost another two pounds to bring me to 14st 10.

ControlGeek · 15/01/2014 17:18

Helga how's DH now? Did he go back to work today?

lucysmam thank you, we did make up pretty much the same evening that it happened, but then it still hangs like a cloud for a day or two iykwim, in case it all flares up again. All is good now though.

ta da
Up at 6am to shred and do housework
Laundry put on
Nice dress and shoes, even though I was going to the clinic rather than to work today
Makeup, and hair brushed and oiled. Ran straighteners over it quickly but didn't do a proper job as it wasn't too bad.
Going out to a craft workshop this evening so changed into something more casual, reapplied makeup, rebrushed hair
Have bought a 2litre bottle of water that I'm going to refill each day to help me keep track of how much I'm drinking.

to do
put evening meal in oven, put a few veg on the hob
Go to craft workshop and enjoy!

Well, that's it, no more shredding in the mornings for me, nurse's orders Grin

humanordancer · 16/01/2014 13:27

Hello everyone, I've not been able to keep up, but am getting back on the case this week.

I have managed so far though, to focus on the sort of underpinnings which take more time to fix. So I've joined the low carb bootcamp, which is working, and have kept up the body brushing and the birch oil. I've been brushing my hair much more too - incredible the difference it makes!

Oh, and I've done some exercise every day, even if just a walk. Now need to start building in some of the other things. Baby steps for me Grin

Hello all. My plans for the evening sort of went to pot, however, got my clothes ready, listened to loads of good music whilst doing some chores, manicure done etc.

At one point this week I went for a quick drink with an old friend. Totally spontaneous, at the end of the work day we decided to go and just went. It was fun and I was glad I've gone back into putting some thought into what I wear/make up etc, felt ok, you know, as opposed to oh christ, I'm wearing THAT, I look like a right frump etc etc etc.
slid off the wagon with my vitamins, must do better!!!

DH and I entered a challenge: we sat down and wrote all the stuff we'd really like to buy/do 'for fun'. We need about a grand, we reckon, so the challenge is on, we gave a year to raise the funds. A one off 'sod it, we're enjoying ourselves'. We didn't ask the DD, she'll blow our salaries double quick :)

Here is where the weekend starts for me, so have a fab one everyone!

ControlGeek · 17/01/2014 07:45

helga I hope everything's ok with DH now.

dili it's so lovely to do something spontaneous, and even better then you feel dressed for it! Glad you had a good time with your friend.

Morning routine is all done, minus the exercise - it kind of feels weird, but I don't miss getting up at 6am! Diet is a bit odd at the moment. I'm not allowed to continue the 5:2 for the next month, and need to reduce my carbs slightly and increase my protein and water a lot. Yesterday I managed 3 litres of water and 1 litre of decaf latte, plus a protein heavy lunch and evening meal. I'm just about to boil myself an egg now. Dinner tonight is steak with roasted mediterranean veg - yay!

HelgatheHairy · 17/01/2014 10:51

Well DH is back at work anyway. He says he's fine - not sure I totally believe him. Beautifying has gone out window and my skin is having a melt down

afternoon all, this week I've managed to lose three pounds, survive my first week in my new job and almost, but not quite, keep up with my routine. not sure how long it'll last though, after a week of very early mornings and a lot of travel I'm pretty knackered

lucysmam · 17/01/2014 15:54

Good afternoon everyone Smile

Hope you're all having a good day?

Helga glad to see your Dh is feeling a bit better, hopefully you'll not have to drag him to the Dr!

Control glad you and your dp made up Smile I know what you mean about it sort of hanging round though...we've been sniping at each other a fair bit with the stress of moving/dp switching job & it does tend to linger alllllll day Sad

wolfcub Doing one thing a day might be easier than trying to do loads if you're knackered from commuting/working?

I can't remember any more posts, sorry!

I'm having a lazy one today...comfy trousers, oldish jumper, no make-up and hair was left to its own devices last night. Dd1 is still at home but is thankfully not contaigous, just very uncomfy with her blisters Sad so has been wearing my t-shirts because they're looser on her than her own.

Am looking forward to opening my birthday Wine later on! Been a tough week money wise & it's been playing on my mind a lot. Dp should start his new job by Weds though so that's a weight off!

My plan for this weekend is to do a bit more house princessing...plan what to put outside the front door in a large planter and hanging basket, clean the front door and window, find wardrobe frame and get that put together so we can clear our bedroom floor and find some nice bedding sets for our room (desperately need bottom sheets at the very least for us all).

I've rediscovered porridge with golden syrup so been having that for breakfast every day and dp has sorted the kinect eventually so once we have the spare cash I'll get a zumba game thingy for it.

Right...off to make tea. Will check in over the weekend. Have a good one all of you Smile

Isn't it quiet in here at the moment!

wolfcub congrats on your 3lb weight loss, that's brilliant stuff. Give your routine time, it always takes a while to settle in to a new job and a new commute. Everything else will fall into place once you've got used to that, and how much time you have outside of all that.

helga oops! Happens to the best of us Grin What is it with men not wanting to admit they might need help, yet others get man flu at the drop of a hat? I have one of the 'I'll see a dr when I'm good and dead' kind too.

lucysmam I hadn't realised DH had moved jobs, I think the last I heard was things were very quiet for him. So pleased he's managed to find something, you really didn't need any added stress of prolonged job hunting. Have you given any more thought on what you'd like to do in September? How's DD's armpit now - sounds terribly painful for her, poor thing.

Decided today was the day, my leaky workshoes are getting ditched and I have been to a shop to get new ones. It took me about 5 minutes to find a pair that I can wear on days when I am wearing socks (ie trouser days) but another two hours to find a pair that fitted and that I liked that I could wear with tights Sad Had to compromise in the end and have a really skinny heel that I'm going to wear out in no time at all - that's when I'm not falling off it and twisting my ankle!

Morning routine has been rumbling along, I even managed a bit of makeup today even though it's the weekend. Need to get the laundry done and give the bathroom a wipe down. REALLY need to allocate a filing day and get it all put away. I hadn't realised until I was looking for something that I haven't actually filed anything since January last year Blush

Pollywallywinkles · 18/01/2014 17:45

To break up the quiet...

I'm doing ok, other than the exercise. I started off the week full of optimism and managed to up the exercise a little, then my dog wasn't too well and need up not being able to walk very far and then had an anaesthetic for X-rays and some dental work. So I had two days without even doing much walking.

Hopefully she is now on the mend with her meds (as much as an old girl can be), so I can try and get back into an exercise routine.

Dilidali · 18/01/2014 22:11

Hello all,
What's with the tumbleweed?
Came to report on the same tumbleweed, I've done nothing today, I partied hard yesterday though, so it's been a duvet day, really.

Tomorrow I plan a bit of pampering ready for next week. Hopefully I'll go to bed a little earlier. Must remember to use hand cream more often!!!
How is everyone else?

lucysmam · 18/01/2014 23:39

Evening all Smile

Dilidali I need to remember hand cream more often too, we walked to asda earlier & I looked at my hands at the bus stop to come back up...they look dry and awful Shock

Control yes, he's moved from one company to another doing the same thing Confused Silly bugger hasn't sorted holiday pay right for the holidays he took before moving & is now having all sorts of difficulties getting it paid though Hmm

I have gone on strike for tonight. Just eaten an entire bag of popcorn by myself while watching the internship with dp....and drunk a bottle of Wine ! Hair isn't dried or straightened but not looking too bad (just been up to cannesten dd1 who now has thrushConfused ). I do have a giant spot on my right cheek though Sad trying not to squeeeeeeeze Grin

I earned £10 from my princessing habits this week :)

I'm feeling a bit guilty stuffing my face with protein while DP does his fasting days, but it's only for a month. I can survive. I'm finding it rather harder than I expected to be off exercise. My weight has remained pretty much static so far, as has my waist measurement though, so that's good. I have come to the conclusion that I really don't like eggs or whole milk :(

You'd be so proud of my water intake - approx 3 litres per day, plus (don't know if this counts) shedloads of decaf milky coffees. Need to find some salty stuff to eat that isn't primarily carbs.

Hair and makeup are done, indigo skinnies and white fluffy jumper on as I'm off to meet some mn friends today. No alcohol will be involved in this meetup though!!!!
