After the brilliant success of our Christmas Countdown Princessing thread I'm starting a new thread to take us to Easter. From 1st Jan it's 108 days so there will be a countdown to this days.

This idea stems from the original princessing threads but has evolved to accommodate all aspects of beautifying, beauty, clothes, diet, exercise etc.

What we like to do is a list of what your planning on doing and working through it.

Links to follow.

Good morning,table dahs so far:

Cleansed , serum and moisturiser
Hair oiled, dried and styled
Make up on (eek), bbc powder, blush, and lippy in addition to my usual mascara

Dishwasher on, son at school, quick whizz round the supermarket done.

Just having a spot of brekkie and then it's a thrilling trip to the tip

Wolfcub · 08/01/2014 10:32

Forgot one, day eight of the plank challenge, ta dah

lucysmam · 08/01/2014 12:14

Afternoon all Smile

Ta-da so far:

Up, spot cream, moisturiser, full face make up...hair looks a bit mop-ish but that's partly because it needs a cut to thin it out (& straighteners running over it).

Dressed smartly.

Several wash loads done & several more to do. Supervised dp making a birthday cake Grin . One box from garage emptied & contents put away...going to try and do another later on. General tidy round done.

To do...midweek pamper tonight - may shorten nails again & paint neutral. Must defuzz and add body moisturiser to shopping list Smile

Dilidali and Control I used to run a bar and then worked in one...no idea what I'd do now though Confused Was debating seeing if there are any dinner lady jobs at school - been a fair few recently.

lucysmam · 08/01/2014 12:15

Forgot to say...kinect doesn't work so my plan for a yoga or zumba fitness game thing have been put on hold but will invest once we have it working Smile

ControlGeek · 08/01/2014 13:12

lucysmam could you volunteer to listen to reading in a couple of local schools in that case? Once they get to know you they'll tell you about vacancies straight away - possibly may not even advertise if they know you are looking for that kind of thing? It's so true that it's not what you know, it's who you know. I imagine bar work would be pretty difficult with the late shifts, especially if you have to do lunchtimes and weekends as well.

wolfcub well done - I love a good trip to the tip, I feel so much lighter coming home knowing I've permanently got rid of stuff.

ControlGeek · 08/01/2014 13:17

Ladies, please give me your advice.

I'm thinking of cutting a wispy fringe back into my hair. I have (to my mind, anyway) quite a large shiny forehead and always used to have a fringe. I grew it out, I suppose, out of laziness - not always washing my hair frequently enough, it had a tendency to look a bit greasy Blush I'm now most definitely an EOD girl though. So what do you reckon, fringe or no? DP is a bit Confused because he can't imagine me with one. I don't think I've ever had one in the time I've been with him (13 years)

smellylittleorange · 08/01/2014 16:51

Tada - nails done , healthy eating fairly well apart from
Pasteis de Nata ( custard tart)which a colleague bought all the way from Lisbon as I mentioned I loved them to her in the summer - how amazing is that! - I gave her a massive hug!

controlgeek get it done as you are gettinginto good grooming habits anyway - also you can always just wash your fringe part iyswim or use dry shampoo

A bit of housework and laundry tonight then settling down to catch up on Sherlock.

1974rach · 08/01/2014 17:44

bit late to the party but may I join you please?

Need to get my glow back so will make a list and post.

Looking forward to being glamorous by easterGrin

thinkofablinkingnamewoman · 08/01/2014 18:32

controlgeek another vote for the fringe from me. I also have a large forehead and it makes a real difference.
Ta dahs today-
Went to the gym again
Very healthy eating
Have done my pedicure, now for the manicure!
Salad made for lunch tomorrow

But still haven't sorted my shoes. Will also book a hair appointment for next week sometime as I'm a bit straggly.

Welcome 1974rach

control another vote for a fringe. I always had a fringe but it grew out. I had it cut back in about a year ago and I loved it ( it's gone a bit wonky as it's been so long since I got my hair cut) and I have a big shiney forehead. I tend to use dry shampoo as it does get greasy quickly but I have very greasy hair anyway.

Good afternoon everyone Smile Hope you're all having a nice day!

Well, I'm a year older today and have been spoilt rotten! New straighteners are fab...never thought I'd rate anything other than ghd tbh but these are gooooood!

So far:

Up....kids opened birthday gifts for me Hmm

Hair straightened to within an inch of it's life, full face of make up on, dressed in my new skinnies and belt from dp, accessorised with new earrings chosen by dd1 and necklace chosen my dd2 (there was a necklace with the earrings that would go better but dd2 might have been grumpy if I didn't wear her gift too).

I have two bottles of wine chilling in the fridge from my dad and best bud, plus a very pretty looking bottle of peach liquer from my dad and some smellies so am going to have a relaxing soak later on I think with a Wine and my book. (am feeling slightly guilty about wanting to drink the liquer though....it's in a pretty star shaped bottle with my name painted on one side and a very discreet label on the other & I think it might have cost a fair bit Confused )

I have still had to do some bits around the house...washing is finally caught up on barring one last load of whites that'll get done in the morning and bathroom is spotless ready for later on. Living room has been tidied up too since my best mate popped in for an hour.

lucysmam · 09/01/2014 13:32

I forgot to say, my trusty needle and thread fixed the zip on my lemsip chair arm that got pulled during moving...I'd forgotten all about it until my mate came round earlier. will strip and wash it tomorrow because it looks a tad sorry for itself atm Confused

Just mooching around amazon atm, dp says he has £27 left of my birthday budget that I can pick something with, so am debating a couple of random beauty purchases (cheap from china with free postage ones to play about with) and a couple of decent make up purchases instead of my usual Primark/Poundshop/Superdrug teen ranges because they're cheap...just can't decide what to get so suggestions are welcome Grin

Wolfcub · 09/01/2014 15:24

ta dahs so far:

day 8 of the plank challenge
hair oiled dried and styled
mascara, powder and blusher on, no lippy today as my mouth ia a bit sore
bought a mew handbag for work as my old one was looking tatty amd I've been disappointed by it. Also got a nice scarf in flattering colours.

had another trip to the tip, got rid of some coats and clothes that I won't/shouldn't wear again.

Also cleaned the whole of downstairs of the house including the bathroom

lucysmam · 09/01/2014 22:06

I think you lot have gone on strike tonight!

I've been browsing hair colours....fancy a dark cherry red I think buuuuut, will definitely have to grow out the blonde for it to take Confused My roots are doing my nut in already!

Birthday bath with Wine and book did not go as planned Hmm Dd1 has come home with what looks like a burst blister under her left arm & can hardly lift it so needed some tlc. There's no lump or bruising so far as I can see so I think it's just where something has rubbed but she's very Sad & doesn't want to go to school in the morning because of it. We'll see what she's like when she gets up & go from there. If it's still as sore in the morning I might try my luck at our new Dr's surgery and see if I can get her looked at.

Wolfcub · 09/01/2014 22:48

Happy birthday linesman Cake

Wolfcub · 09/01/2014 22:49

Lucysman, sorry! Bloody spell check

smellylittleorange · 09/01/2014 23:53

Happy birthday Lucysmam sounds like a great day. The one purchase I go back to which is spendy is my Clarins flash balm, it is a great primer which makes your skin look glowy and fresh and moisturises too. You can also use as a facemask. Rest of my bathroom cabinet contains Nivea, no 7, rimmel etc on their website they have samples or gift sets.

Tadas today, morning routine done.dressed.smartly, hair straightened, make up on, washed some walls feeling bleeeurgh.again but although I am at my heaviest I feel more glam and groomed lately than I Ihave in ages thanks to this thread

smellylittleorange · 09/01/2014 23:56

Forgot to say eating healthier and getting lots of veg inside of me tada and also
Thanks ladies

Happy birthday lucysmum!!! Cake

thinkofablinkingnamewoman · 10/01/2014 06:17

Hope your DD's feeling better Lucysmam I like the flash balm too - it really brightens my face up.
In the middle of a particularly painful period so not been to the gym this morning. But I did use some new dead sea exfoliating salts in the shower this morning and my skin feels amazing!! And I did say no to wine and pizza last night in favour of a jacket potato and sitting on the sofa watching Sherlock. Yum. To Sherlock, not the potato!

vvviola · 10/01/2014 07:10

Happy birthday lucysmam Grin

I'm just coming to the end of a nasty period complete with weird shoulder pain, so haven't done much other than the basics. Visit to doc today suggests pain may be endometriosis. I'm not sure what to do with that piece of info. Hmm

DH has been working in the evenings which is usually great for doing beauty type things. But DD2 is being an absolute brat difficult at bedtime so by the time I finally get downstairs in the evening, he has usually finished work and is sitting waiting to watch something on tv with me. which is lovely, but infuriating when I had thought I'd get some time to myself.

ControlGeek · 10/01/2014 07:46

Sorry for lack of posts, DP and I had a blazing row a couple of days ago and it's put a bit of a spanner in the renovating works. I've kept up with hair, makeup and clothes and have shredded every day but the house has gone a bit to pot.

Ta da
Up at 6am
Shredded
Hair, makeup and clothes done
Laundry on
Moisturiser and protective cream on my face and hands
Nail varnish removed

To do
Dunno, cba to think about it right now

smellylittleorange · 10/01/2014 08:38
