Hi everyone!
No big NYE plans for us,had some friends over last night, cooked a pre NYE meal, and tonight we will relax with tv,and some leftovers too tired to cook
Loved hearing all your other plans for NYE,

And Loved looking at all your shopping.

liberty hope you are better, today

RubyLovesShopping · 31/12/2013 15:36

Going out now for early NYE dinner, like grumpy hoping to be home in pjs by 9.

libertychick · 31/12/2013 15:41

Thanks Santa. I am getting better but still not 100% - looking forward to a lazy day tomorrow and probably taking Thursday off as it's DD's birthday - although TBH if the weather is really lousy I may just work and have a day with her sometime we can actually get out and do something. Her party is on Sunday.

Shredded I haven't tried Whistles jeans - if you go for them would be good to get some feedback!

libertychick · 31/12/2013 15:43

I am resisting the Anna sale - going to try and fit in a flit around regent street between meetings next week and see what's about.

shopafrolic · 31/12/2013 15:44

Lots of lovely lovely links today.
grumpy I particularly love the knit and yes! your wedding outfit was so super stylish - just gorgeous
marsha I feel guilty now about the orange knit. Sorry.
Survived the party. Lots of toddler tantrums going on left right and centre. Too soon after Christmas I think. Pass the parcel was a completely alien concept! Grin
Happy new year barbie - another Elemis lover here. I got a HUGE tub of marine cream from DH for Christmas but reading the base it only has a 6 month shelf life? No way I can use that much in such a short space of time.
Anni that is gutting for me about the crofts! Such a bargain. If they were a bit longer in the leg I'd be asking you to pick me up a pair in a size down but I won't.

shopafrolic · 31/12/2013 15:50

Hi shredded no idea on Whistles jeans I'm afraid but let us know if you go for it

libertychick · 31/12/2013 15:53

Shop re toddler parties, one of my Mum friends (who is a primary school teacher) says you should only invite as many friends as they are years old so 3 friends for a 3 year old, 4 for a 4 year old etc as apparently they can't cope that well with any more. For DD's party on Sunday we have followed her advise and just invited 4 kids - assuming at least one won't turn up! I am very nervous about hosting my first toddler bash!!!

Annianni · 31/12/2013 16:04

I'd forgotten how nice the crofts were Shop. I tried them again, but I've put so much weight on I didn't want to risk it, with which size to get.
I'll probably regret it in summer though!

I'm playing chicken/stalking a pair of jeans online anyway, at the moment anyway.

I've tried Whistles jeans, whoever asked... And they were ok, reminded me of French Connection ones. Nice enough denim, with plenty of stretch.
Didn't buy any though.

Got some bargains from Gap, will link later.

We're having a quiet night in, with steaks, fizz etc.

Hope everyone has good nights Wine

shopafrolic · 31/12/2013 16:12

That is good advice Liberty but so tough when there are younger siblings too. Too late for us this year (jan 26th) as invites already sent so wait for my meltdown! Grin
I'm sure you party will be ace!
I've been to two recently - I found myself wondering where the jelly went? There was always jelly when I was a kid? Is that not the done thing anymore?

Drywhiteplease · 31/12/2013 16:13

Right, I've prepared Spain and am getting dd to make little flags.
Bought marguerita instead of mojito to drink in Mexico, knew it started with m, oh well, don't like monitors anyway!

Am giving my Warehouse dress it's fourth, and final, outing tonight.....am a bit bored with it now. That's £10 pw, not bad! Will have to think of something else for Burns Night no silly tartan suggestions thanks Grin

Grumpywhat are you wearing to the races tomorrow?

BrandyAlexander · 31/12/2013 16:15

Hello everyone. Sorry if this puts a downer on thread (I don't mean to as I do also have fashion news including the Maje top I am wearing). Dsis just found out she has cancer. She didn't cry. I didn't either as I think I just knew.Sad

Drywhiteplease · 31/12/2013 16:17

So so sorry Novice that's terrible news

shopafrolic · 31/12/2013 16:19

Oh Novice I'm so very sorry. When does she start treatment?

BrandyAlexander · 31/12/2013 16:20

I should add I don't want to derail the thread and stop chatting fashion. 1. The world would end! and 2. She's hosting a fancy dress party tonight. As she said to me, there will be plenty of time for tears tomorrow.

BrandyAlexander · 31/12/2013 16:25

Shop, Dry, thanks. She has a lymph test on Friday. That will decide whether she has operation plus radiation or chemo as well.

libertychick · 31/12/2013 16:27

So sorry to hear that novice (((hugs))) for both of you.

santamarianovella · 31/12/2013 16:27

novice so sorry to hear this,

WhattoWearNow · 31/12/2013 16:30

Novice - I am so sorry to hear that. Love to you both.
Dry - missed the chic lady in the trilby. I was the harassed lady in the bar necking prosecco..

Annianni · 31/12/2013 16:32

So sorry Novice.

libertychick · 31/12/2013 16:34

On toddler parties - I am going to do some jelly! I don't care if it's out of style or not! I'm making snowman sandwiches like these but using circles of bread and cheese instead of pretzels and various veggies for the body parts, santa strawberries, cocktail sausages, mini jelly shapes made using a ice mould and this cake. Will I be labelled a terrible mother if I don't do party bags? I detest all the crap that comes in them.

Mignonette · 31/12/2013 16:34

Have PMed you Novice.

Tons of love to you, your sister and family. Flowers. Heaps of flowers.

shopafrolic · 31/12/2013 16:43

Liberty I hate party bags too but it seems that the kids have been expecting them at both parties I've been too. I was going to do them but just have some crayons, some stickers, a piece of bday cake and some bubbles.........

libertychick · 31/12/2013 16:47

Looks like I need to pop into Tiger Tiger then for some cheap tat!! Or as there's only a small number I might get them a helium balloon each - ok back to fashion!

Did anyone see the blue J Crew shirtdress Laura Weir featured in her column in the ST style mag this week - it's lush but I can't find it on the website.

Drywhiteplease · 31/12/2013 16:54

What I was in the bar too.....with two batty old people. 10 of us in total. We had a shout out "people from Yorkshire !" I may have screeched Hmm Blush

Annianni · 31/12/2013 17:09

I hate party bags too. For ds1's last party, I gave a mini lego figure with a choc mini roll (plus cake) and the boys were pleased.
