babyliss big hair omfg!

I bought one for myself as a bit of a secret xmas present to me. Didn't need it (I thought) but just fancied something just for me.

I used it this morning for the first time. it is absolutely amazing!

I have very wavy, very thick, very strong & sometimes very frizzy shoulder length hair cut into layers. It has turned my frankly fugly bed head mop into a lovely smooth, neat and flicky do. It looks fab and it took all of about 3 minutes and I didn't even really know what I was doing.

Wish I had of bought one ages ago!

I got mine ths morning....I'm so happy, not had a chance to use it properly but my hair is bsl and thick, but v fine at front.....I'm so excited! The little bit I did made me so groomed!

Just how easy are they to use? Suitable for someone who has no hair styling ability except running a comb through it?

They couldn't be easier to use. I love mine. I use it on my dds curly hair and it has transformed it,

Dead easy to use too. You just stand there and it does all the work, you just need to move it to a new bit of hair every so often.

50mm for long hair, 45mm medium, 42mm short hair or basically bigger more gentle curls the bigger the barrel....I think? I've git long thick hair (bra strap) and have the 50mm

I bought myself a Big Hair once. I didn't get a chance to try it out for about 3 weeks. When I did take it out to try I found that somebody had cut the prongs off about a third of it. Hmm. When the DC are older and less destructive I may buy myself another one.

I have the thickest, coarsest hair of anyone I know, shoulder length and when not straightened I look like a lego head.

Im going to get one i think. I have thick wavy hair and that sounds ok when i type it but it isnt.

I think I need one! Judging from your op I have similar hair, usually straightened to within an inch of its life! I am in a vicious hair cycle and can't get out , this sounds like the answer Smile

I got one 2 years ago having read a thread on here titled something along the lines ''OMG If you haven't got a Babyliss Big Hair Get One Immediately You Need One''

I was abroad at the time but ordered one immediately from Amazon (they were on offer at £26) and loads of people on that thread said yes get one you can't live without etc.

I was nervous about being a lemming but oh boy were they right Wink

However, I managed to break it within 6 months...sent it back and got a replacement under the 3 year guarantee....then it went again after another year but they replaced it again no bother. I thought maybe it was me but my best friend's BBH also went after about a year.

I couldn't do without it, it IS the best thing since sliced bread.

Best thing ever, haven't picked up my ghds since having one and it gives a lovely big bouncy blow dry and so easy. My mum says hers has saved her hundreds and hundreds in going for blowdrys for nights out at £20 a pop Smile

I got one about 18m ago on the recommendation of Mumsnet and I agree it is a total miracle worker. At first I only used it for "special occasions" because it does take slightly longer than my usual method of drying (bend over and blast with hot air til dry).

But when I realised just how much better it made me look, and loads of people would compliment me, I thought fuck it, I owe it to myself to do this ALL the time. So I do. And now I'm much quicker at it (only about an additional 5-10 mins). And I look and feel SO much better for it.

GET ONE.

P.S. I have long, thick course hair. The Babyliss makes me look less like Mary off Corrie, and more like Nigella.

You won't regret it!

My tip is to dry your hair as normal for a bit, so that it is only slightly damp. In fact, almost dry. Then use the babyliss to finish it. It takes too long to dry it from scratch using the babyliss if your hair is long and thick.
