I bought one for myself as a bit of a secret xmas present to me. Didn't need it (I thought) but just fancied something just for me.

I used it this morning for the first time. it is absolutely amazing!

I have very wavy, very thick, very strong & sometimes very frizzy shoulder length hair cut into layers. It has turned my frankly fugly bed head mop into a lovely smooth, neat and flicky do. It looks fab and it took all of about 3 minutes and I didn't even really know what I was doing.

Wish I had of bought one ages ago!

I have fine shoulder length hair and would not be without mine. It give my hair body and leaves it smooth and shiny.

Just wanted to ask, do I need this if I already have a straightener? Or does it do a different job?

I am getting one too! I am hoping it will change my life co love my hair but with 3 young DC I hardly ever have time to do anything but tie it back in a dry-shampooed greasy pony tail. Am looking forward to gorgeous no hassle hair!

I didn't get on with mine. The bristles slid over my hair rather than getting any "traction". I need a stiffer bristle. I do wonder if the new bbh has better bristles.

They are miracle workers!

For added traction lightly spray with a gel spray or hairspray.

They are brilliant on dry hair as well.

Do they work on very thick curly/wavy hair? Or will the rotating brush just get stuck in my mane and need cutting out?! Want one, but nervous!

You take a section of hair and put the brush at the end and then press the button and the brush will rotate and draw your hair up to the roots. Let go of the button and unwind the hair. If you do it in smallish sections it should be fine.

I was just bemoaning my thin, fine, no body hair - is this the answer? Or is it only good for people who have lots of hair?

My hair is fine but with a lot of wave and can frizz a bit. It gives lots of extra body where you want it at the roots.

Keep the receipt though. I have been through 3 of these and I'm not buying another. The last one broke on first day of my holiday I was ConfusedConfusedConfused because I had no other means of styling my hair with me.

I bought one (when they were recently reduced to £28 in Asda) for my super thick wavy/unruly curly bush head hair. Absolute rubbish fir my hair! No comparison to the sleek taming powers of GHD's fir me. Tge only thing that has transformed my hair is the keratin treatment which I used fir the third time (lasts 3 months) so ready fir Christmas and makes my hair fabulous. Even my hair dresser commented on the difference. Has been godsend since dc3 arrival to get out tge door and to school/preschool on time!!

I have one and I think they are brilliant. I have fine shoulder length hair, but lots of it. I blow dry my hair with my head upside down, and then use the BBH. It's not a hair dryer. It's meant to be used on dry hair. Sally Hughes has a good video of how to use it. I would link to it but I'm on my phone and can't do links.

It does a different job to a straightener. This is for adding volume, and some big flicky curls.

You have to section off a piece of hair, hold the brush at the ends, use your spare hand to kind of encourage your hair around the brush a bit, and press one of the buttons to start the brush rotating, so that your hair gets drawn up around the brush. Hot air comes out of the brush, so drys and styles it at the same time.

If your hair does get caught/tangled (happens rarely), then you press the other button so it rotates in the opposite direction and quickly releases your hair.

Had mine for over 18m and it's never broken. Can you tell I love it?

my hair is longish very very thick and I always manage to tangle it in :(
DO you use it on nearly dry hair? Thats what i tried, months ago & just gave up :(

Can anybody help me with the sizing? I can only find 42mm and 50mm for sale. I have medium length hair a little past my shoulders. Which size will be most suitable?

I'm not overly keen on it, had mine 2 or 3 years and hardly ever use it now. I like my natural curls and it loosens them too much. I feel a bit fake and unnatural with big bouncy hair.

I have one and really like it. I have to run the my straightners lightly over my hair after to get rid of the fly ways though.
