Thanks dry Blush

safe travels novice I hope you get some rest soon, you must be worn out!

Sounds fabulous QueenC you looked killer in the dress

MarshaBrady · 03/11/2013 18:28

Christmas Vogue Edition sounds fab. Very stylish.

BrandyAlexander · 03/11/2013 18:39

Thanks all! Thanks I am so knackered as of course I try and pack a million and one things in with the kids. It's Paris tomorrow morning. I have moved meetings so I can drop dd school but it will literally by drop dd, rush home and car should be waiting for me. Back Tuesday night. I have 4 more trips before XmasShock

Marsha, I admire you running in this weather. It's strictly treadmill for me till April!

So, big announcement. I am in love. except I cannot find this coat anywhere in a 6 or 8.

I have seen this one which I like but it doesn't make my heart race as much.

BrandyAlexander · 03/11/2013 18:42

Dry, don't worry, you will have plenty of company. I love Christmas. Maybe even more than the MaxMara coat!

MarshaBrady · 03/11/2013 18:47

Oh no Novice you have to get the one you love! The cashmere looks divine. I wonder if the MaxMara shop has it?

I know I love a bit of winter running. I remember running round a lake in Boston in the snow. I was all kind of colours from purple to yellow when I got back Shock. And I underdress with just shorts and t, hate loads of layers. But maybe I'll buy something really lightweight.

shopafrolic · 03/11/2013 19:19

DH is upstairs putting DS to bed secretly getting him to draw in a birthday card for me. He seems to have forgotten that I can hear their schemes on the monitor - very cute.
novice surely there's a store in Paris? Please tell me you take a decent holiday at Christmas. You must have been on this thread for a year now and I can only recall you going to CP for a week..... You need a rest.....

LinusDKD · 03/11/2013 19:46

novice that is a gorgeous coat! I hope you find one in your size.

And reading about your life makes me feel tired! Wink

But seriously, you do need to take care of yourself and not overdo it!

shop that is so sweet! DS helped DH make breakfast in bed for me this morning but he also ate most of my bacon. Hmm

And your lunch sounds delicious! Restaurants are such a dissapointment here. Average food, average decor, average service but above average prices. I do miss London food wise!

queenc it sounds like you had a wonderful party!

I have just realised I have no plans for tomorrow, apart from grocery shopping.

DC are at nursery, DH at work so I have all day to myself but I have no clue what to do.

DH let slip that the store where he bought my present is holding something for me in case his present isn't right (I guess size wise) so maybe I'll have to go into town and exchange it.

shopafrolic · 03/11/2013 19:49

linus there must be a beauty salon nearby?? Book yourself in for a facial / massage / manicure?
Health centre? Swim, sauna, jacuzzi?
I am alone in the afternoon with DS - I'm praying there won't be tantrums, I think I'll cry!

shopafrolic · 03/11/2013 19:54

QueenC loving the photos on FB. You look stunning.

shopafrolic · 03/11/2013 19:54

And quite pissed Grin

Drywhiteplease · 03/11/2013 20:08

Mmmmmm......think I may make Christmas cake next week very boozy of course MNV Christmas edition is an excellent idea! Found a sparkly possible Christmas Day jumper in Zara but website is going a bit funny and I can't link....is it just me Hmm
Shop that's so cute....kids love a conspiracy Smile
Linus I agree with Shop pamper yourself.
Marsha you're amazing.....I hate running at the best of times! running in the rain......noooooooooooooooooo.
Novice beautiful coats.....hope you can find them in Paris .

LinusDKD · 03/11/2013 20:19

shop I have just painted my nails (a very fetching grey) and I had a facial and hammam last week but maybe I'll see if I can book a massage or a blowdry.

dry that is such an English tradition, a Christmas jumper! Grin

BrandyAlexander · 03/11/2013 20:29

Have to say I feel knackered today! I feel like I just have to grind through the next few weeks. Funny you mentioned holidays Shop as i was thinking about them today as to didn't feel we had enough of them this year despite 10 days long haul just after Christmas, then the Med in April then CP in August. Two were hard work though as ds wasn't sleeping. Dh doesn't want to go away after Christmas this year but we will have 10 days at home for sales shopping. I am thinking of Turkey in April, Cyprus in July and CP at the end of August.

shopafrolic · 03/11/2013 20:32

Glad to hear holidays are on the agenda novice
linus nail painting here too - anyone would think we had a birthday coming up. Definitely pamper yourself tomorrow. If I could fly over we could spa day together!

MarshaBrady · 03/11/2013 20:35

Ah I wish we were in the same city Linus, we all were we could sneak off and do a birthday lunch mini mu! We'll be singing happy birthday to you from afar.

Dry I'm not that keen on the having to get fit first part, so once I've started I have to go otherwise I fade out and lose interest!

Drywhiteplease · 03/11/2013 20:39

Am wondering whether my nail varnish will last one more day...v fussy about chips but can't be bothered to do them again.
Linus it's a v tasteful jumper!!!!!
Anyone else having problems with Zara website? Or is it just me? Hmm

shopafrolic · 03/11/2013 20:40

dry whack another layer of topcoat on

OneLittleLady · 03/11/2013 20:46

I've painted may nails, bright shocking pink with black crackle polish over the top and I have a cake in the oven for DP Grin I hope it turns out ok, I haven't actually baked anything in years!

Drywhiteplease · 03/11/2013 20:47

Will do Shop and it can dry during Downton.......

LinusDKD · 03/11/2013 20:48

Oh don't let me daydream about spending the day in London tomorrow.

Breakfast at the Wolseley, some shopping, sushi at Kulu Kulu in Soho, some more shopping and then dinner somewhere yummy. And drinking bubbles with MNVoguettes, of course.

Last time I was in London I was pregnant with DD and got all dressed up for dinner with DH. Only to find that the über fancy Italian restaurant we had booked (on Savile Row, forgotten the name) had been closed that day by Health and Safety because of a 'mice problem'. Shock

So DH and I (hobbling on high heels) ended up trying to find a table on a Friday evening in Mayfair without a booking. In the end we had a nice meal in an ok fish restaurant but were decidedly overdressed.

QueenCadbury · 03/11/2013 20:51

Phew, the hangover has subsided finally!

I've spent the evening looking at grey bags and there's a couple I quite like on the coach website. There's also a clay longchamp which may be a grey-y brown colour in a style I love. But now I'm having cold feet about spending more than £200 on a bag. Tell me ladies, is it really worth it? I need convincing.

LinusDKD · 03/11/2013 20:59

queenc it really depends on the bag. But if it is a quality bag and you love it and will get lots of enjoyment from it, then yes.

Right, bed time. Need my beauty sleep for the big day tomorrow. Night night.

MarshaBrady · 03/11/2013 21:11

Sounds lovely Linus, good night!

QueenC if you love it and as Linus said yes.

Just started watching a movie Now You See It and it starts with magic tricks. Someone flicks through a deck if cards for someone to choose. And I picked the right one. Freaky!

Drywhiteplease · 03/11/2013 21:34

Am bidding on Ebay....stressful........for DH

santamarianovella · 03/11/2013 21:52

linus hope you get to do something enjoyable on your birthday,i didnt get to celebrate mine,so its nice to here all your celebrations, i think the restaurant you mentioned on savile row is sartoria? if so ,you have not missed a thing!
