Am I too fat for this Oasis winter rose dress? Be honest.

I have fat arms, this doesn't do good things to them as the pudgy above elbow bit is showing.

Also wearing spanx here but the split means the thunder thigh holding in bits might be seen, so the dress is spanx prohibitive. Other pant options would be needed.

Should I send it back and just accept I need a nice mumsy wrap dress that covers all the fat bits?

Honestly? I think you're very beautiful woman. But the dress and shoes are not doing you any favours. I think it's the pattern and colour of the dress that are not working for you, and the colour and height of the shoes. Sorry, I know that sounds very negative but I think you should be aiming for a different look altogether. What is the occasion? Maybe our more stylish S&B people can find a better outfit for you.

Late to this....sorry but you are not fat but the dress does not do anything for you. It is very mumsy and curtain. You would look great in a one colour dress in a shade that suits you and a better fit to show off your great amazing shape.

Oooops....sorry....I was responding to the original picture but hey....I was right anyway. Tight dress and one colour. You look beautiful and sexy and great. Well done !

I think the second outfit looks stunning on you really suits your shape and the hat goes really well.

What shoes are you after? I have a soft spot for m&s limited collection stilettos. Not high, comfy and range of colours. Oh and £19 Wink

Oh I love a happy ending. I was scrolling down to say "you are not too fat but the dress is too frumpy", and I see that you have been found a frump-free dress already, by the S&B Posse. Looks lovely.

Wow, they both look great! Really flattering and great with your hair colour etc. I want those dresses!

Clearly we have similar tastes- you have the same fireplace as me Grin

I had to just do an update.

I bought the clarks opera ticket suede shoes in black. I wasn't planning on buying these but they look so fifties pin up and are way nicer on than I expected. Oh and like walking on air.

Doing hair tonight.

Onemorethennomore - clearly you are a woman of immaculate taste!
Goodasitgets - I don't know if they are limited collection but I have two pairs of mid stilettos from m&s that I think only cost £15. I love them but in the end the lure of new shoes won!

Oooh I like those shoes too! You must do another update with your full outfit and hairdo when you've got it all sorted. Smile

Ok last one I promise, I'm sure you are way too bored of me in these dresses.

Dilemma, the dresses I ordered came today. DH is beside himself over the black Delores, it's very tight! I think I'm going to keep it anyway, making my collectif dress total stand at 4!

I should stick with the teal yes? Not sure about black for a wedding.

The second one is the Simone dress but I think it makes my arms look like a wrestler's. Think I'm sending that back.

Plus I'm also not sure about the red lipstick now. Am I just chickening out?

Hair is, um very orange!

I agree about the other, I don't like it as much
Hair looks fab! And wear the bloody red lipstick Grin

Yes the teal for the wedding but I would keep the black Dolores too-you always need a little black dress and this one looks amazing on you!

You MUST wear the hat,red lippy and seamed stockings!

If you are looking for any other Collectif dresses I can recommend the Regina style-not as much room in the boobs though so I take a 16 in this-the Violet dress but again size up.

If you are looking for any xmas party dresses then I think the Delilah dress would be stunning on your figure

Yes- stick with the teal for the wedding, but keep the black one anyway! Grin

And the red lips suit you, go for it.

AndTwoBits · 24/10/2013 20:29

Agree with others, keep the teal and the black, they are both fabulous on you, teal for the wedding, black for dh! The other dress isn't working. I love your hair colour and red lipstick. I have the same hair colour and am wearing red lips out on sat night! Delighted you found two great dresses.
