Foxy, or Amber just the person I needed... :o

What's the sizing like on your Asos jeans?
I'm considering the slim Brady jeans, am I right in thinking they're small size wise?

foxysocks · 30/10/2013 15:40

oh i don't know if they come up generally small - my asos 8s fit fine. they are a loose style but defo not too big.

shopafrolic · 30/10/2013 17:49

Oh Foxy and Shop. Am sending you help vibes.

Novice I think you need to shop, shop for all of us! Grin

LinusDKD · 30/10/2013 18:32

Wine for everyone who needs it!

DD is on the mend but when we went to the pediatrician today for her 1 year check-up he did say he thought she had the beginning of bronchitis but he wasn't a 100% sure, so we have to keep an eye on it. If so, she'll need an inhaler. Sad

In fashion news, my outnet DKNY dress arrived and it's lovely, especially the colour.

And I ordered the Hush dress in red/black because I just love the blue one I have already. I also had the grey one in my basket but I hope to buy that one in the sales.

I think it was amber who recommended Edinburgh Woollen Mill and I have just received three cashmere scarves and they are lovely. I will keep two for myself [greedy] and one will be a Christmas present for DFIL.

mignonnette · 30/10/2013 18:45

Foxy

Wine Wine and more Wine and Flowers

Sending you love and strength.

Linus Sorry DD has been unwell but at least the inhaler will help control and mitigate further problems. Flowers and Wine for you too.

Oh Novice Just give in. We need something to feed off - call us fashion vampires Halloween Grin

foxysocks · 30/10/2013 18:46

I'm right there with you shop xxx Wine

Come on novice, have a huge spree and cheer us all up!

I like the hush dresses too linus. I have a waffle knit from them last winter that is in great condition despite lots of wear. Still have my eye on their baseball sweater dress, maybe one for the sales pour moi.

foxysocks · 30/10/2013 18:46

Hugs and Wine for Foxy.
Why do they all shout? One talks over another, the next shouts over that one. It must be bad, I hid doing ironing for three hours! And you know how much I love ironing Hmm

AmberNectarine · 30/10/2013 20:46

Anni, I'd say the Bradys are probably true to size, but certainly not generous. The 10 was a teeny bit snug initially but has now stretched out a bit and is perfect.

Linus glad the scarves worked out for you. I ended up getting a lovely black watch tartan one from a company in Brora via eBay for £22. I'd really like a kilt in my clan tartan (have Scottish heritage) but it would be about £500!

Busy week of work and press days lined up next week. I will report back on what you'll all be wearing for S/S14.

shopafrolic · 30/10/2013 20:59

Ooo yes please amber have fun

Turquoiseblue · 30/10/2013 21:13

thanks linus! Didnt check in on time think I missed that but thanks for thinking of me. hope your dd is better, dd get s it here too - steroids the last time worked. My GP s DAD (family practice) told us to wrap them in a duvet and bring them outside into the night air if they weren't improving - or open the window and sit with them beside it... It works , but evenso the cough is horrible, When dd has had it the last few times she has had tonsilitis too.
not a high fashion point today - grey oasis skinnies, oasis cobalt blue (poly) top with pleather trim (looks nice though), and new metalic grey ankle boots, not going to set the world on fire but hey I was comfy!
Marsha maybe it wasnt you who linked, sorry

amber great blog post! Loved the way you worked the t shirt into the different occasions, and I want your sparkly mulberry (oh and the leather skirt )
To all those with In Laws staying Wine
OK back to work for me , no more MN until I finish presentation

Annianni · 31/10/2013 07:38

I think we're going to need a photo of your electrician Dry :o

Thanks Amber and Foxy, I've ordered some Bradys to try.

I'm glad my Fil lives a mile away from me (if that) so he will never need to stay with us!
I just couldn't cope!

Wine for all who need it...

shopafrolic · 31/10/2013 08:32

It's raining. Trapped indoors with everyone. Awful night's sleep. DS overtired and ILs who go to the bathroom 5 times a night. On the plus side DS is beyond thrilled playing with his cousin.
YY to picture and scratch and sniff of the electrician.

Grin
mignonnette · 31/10/2013 08:55

Grin at Dry.

When my DH was laying a floor for my friend it was the middle of the heat wave and he was wearing a cap sleeved T that showed his arms off.

(My best friend is his former ballet partner so she has seen him in a lot less Grin).

The neighbour called round and BF most amused because she stayed for ages and she couldn't get rid of her. Said she caught her sneaking glances at DH's arms the whole time and afterwards told her DH had the body of a Greek God {boak}. Anyway, DH very embarrassed as he's quite reserved about that kind of comment. I still tease him when he gets up w/ wild man hair and crease marked sleepy face.

Shop - I am bleary eyed and read that as a scratch and sniff picture of an erection Grin. Sorry to hear you had such a bad night. I'll know age is a coming when we both start wearing a path on the hall runner to the loo. Can you curl up on the sofa w/ a book whilst inlaws run wild with the wolving half term children? My kids used to turn feral in the holidays. One week off and they needed puppy training to get them back into a routine. Used to hate it.

I haven't seen my MIL since my FIL's funeral in April. She only lives six miles from the East Anglia house (going to rent out London flat when I stop working in th west to various children of friends who are studying there) but I have such a visceral aversion to her. I know it reminds me of FIL death which reminds me of my Fathers death (cannot bring myself to put 'dear' in front of 'F'- does not deserve it after what he did) and that is why. DH sad because she eliminated all traces of his DF within days of his death, moved house and is now having a great time of it. Good that she is not an elderly grieving woman living a half life but a bit insensitive.

Anyway rant over. I must get back on track with the fashion. I bought this yesterday for long haul travel and holidays when i need to chuck warm weather clothing into carry on bags. I love it and cheap too. I bought these shorts for wearing with thick wool tights in winter.

This chambray bow neck shirt is lovely so have ordered it to try. I'm not sure if I'm too short to wear something that is quite fussy but plan to work it down by pairing w/ casual trousers and trainers. Not going the smart skirt way with it might work with me better.

Annianni · 31/10/2013 09:31

Does anyone else now want to see a pic of MrMig?
Or just me?
